Just saying but they aren't likely to make a figure that has a mask that doesn't fit at all with the rest of the figures colors. So gunmetal + tr. purple Ultimate Makuta it is. Does anyone really hate how they made the new Ekimu so skinny and disproportionated of his original form? It's even worse on the animations.

I really would like to know why they put QB there. Sounds really stupid considering they must still have a bunch of uniters as well, or heck even the creatures.

I find it weird that Vladek has a flat face like the set but the minifigs have noses.

The problem with these type of connections is that you couldn't connect the other half separetely at all.I still stay with the idea that the upper part is connected via a 3-long axle trough a brainstalk and the lower part connects to the hinges.

Oh that. It's still pretty flat and doesn't offer anything new really. It's clearly just based on the one in the animations.

This jaw gimmick is more of a flaw than function, I hate it.

It surprised me quite a bit when somebody took a notice that it was just his glove that he wore on the previous image. http://board.ttvchannel.com/uploads/db5640/optimized/3X/0/1/015be3656919ed193f21e36fb7564e2dbadc4def_1_690x475.png

It was the Mask of time's upper part, it was looking pretty final and different enough to the one on the poster We'we only seen the MoUp thus far with just red eyes and six prongs sticking under a thin black smoke and now possibly on that second poster.
-
It's just sad parts of it are reversed, most notably Kopaka and the fact the evil is usually portrayed on the right and good on the left which here is reversed to that of the set poster. I can brush it off but things like Kopaka's mask being inverted shouldn't happen outside of the catalogs.

I'm pretty sure Lego has deemed Chima constraction as a failure, meaning it's unlikely they would do something like that again.

I think it's fair to bet on a Comic Con reveal, but they might not show all of them. It is very likely that Boba is among the yet unknown figures but Disney is yet to reveal how much he has to do with the movie outside from speculations and might be left out due to that among possibly some others. Even in the leak not only the image was cropped the bottom half was edited out raising questions why? My theory is that it is Boba Fett and had the leaker shown it Disney would had been... well really unhappy and really tried to hunt the guy down.

Indeed, what's done is done and I don't hope that is changed, just that the people's concerns are taken into account. Because last time it felt the rules were made up as the contest went, it wasn't originally stated if you were allowed to use these type of special parts. And even if they end up allowing the use of these type of pieces I'd prefer those rules to be set in stone from the beginning, not that everyone has to ask what is okay and what is not. But I do agree with you on the fact that we don't practically know anything of the contest itself, do we even know for sure it is a building contest? Not every contest on Rebrick is.

The winner/winners of the mask contest as it was a couple weren't that much part of the Bionicle fandom and it didn't get that much attention due to that. I'm personally excited to see what the theme of the contest is but also hope they have some change with the rules. I don't want too see another behemoth that is covered with pieces that aren't officially released to overshadow everything else again. It's just completely unfair and something Lego should not allow. Sure I'd like to see more art and stuff from the books but not many people seem to even know about them. Which is discouraging at least me to crate any art of them. But as that's also what informs people of their existence I might eventually do it.

Bionicle may face the same treatment as the second wave of CHI. But I doubt the sales would be so bad they would completely restrict people from buying them in the states.

The idea to bring toys to life for mobile hasn't proven that successful, almost everything has been just a flop, you may not have seen it yourself as they haven't gained much popularity and just flew under the radar. And quite frankly I believe Infinite Arms doesn't succeed on it either, the figures are big and clunky and not really all that "mobile". Nexo Knights is all about that shield piece you can just put on your keychain if you so much want to take it with you. It works with stuff like Nexo Knights because it isn't the main thing it has to offer, in it's a core it's just really creative lego theme and the toys-to-life part is just extra, not the main drive of the theme. And as Bionicle is sold mainly by pretty much the same basis an emphasis for the more digital front would only help it.

And that's why I really don't like this combiner, it's even less creative than the other, the color distribution is also worse. I have no idea who built this, but it's pretty much what I would had expected from the actual combiner: http://i.imgur.com/ZdFwI2z.jpg

I thought you meant something like Dimensions or Inifinity. What about a toys-to-life game that doesn't require you to buy the game itself and it's on mobile? Isn't that pretty much how the Nexo powers work?

I do like IHE and appreciate his points too, if you want to see the flaws you should approach it from the outsider's perspective, not a fan's, And IHE quite taps onto the fact that the amount of terminology makes it harder to follow.I personally hate how some of the depth has been dropped, not the terminology itself. My most gripe being with the mask powers which also restricts their canon use in different colors as they are tied to elements and not powers like shielding, strength or speed. This is also why some of the promos are as bland as "Tahu's mask" meaning it's design is always tied to Tahu and The element of Fire. I hate it, not only there's no mask packs but these things can't even exist in canon. I hope there's more promos coming, fully tr. neon green beast mask anyone?

There really isn't market for another toys to life game. But I'd see it likely they try to have some digital stuff to go with like Nexo Knights.
-
Bruizer has a better color distribution, while it is indeed still very dull. It could also be that some people would prefer having more CCBS elements, rather than technic. Bruizer had plenty of the rock addons and good amount of shells for example.
-
I actually completely forgot that. But it's also cost effective, uses much less plastic than two different pieces.
-
I can def see the Ganon comparison. But I can't help not to see his mask as Bane from The Dark Knight Rises and thus afflicting the idea that rest of his body is the more traditional comic Bane with the venom running trough him.
-
The color distribution is pretty awful. Only the amount of trans neon green is balanced but both the dark blue and tr. light blue are not enough. Don't even get me started on the lightgray technic and red axles. ugh.

We did a whole topic just for the questions. Not everything considering the sets and their design can be super classified.

Did anything come out of the interview? Also, ordered all the sets. I hope I don't have to resort for a second as expensive for duplicates order due to the possibility of Storm and Quake not coming to shelves here. They did left us without Uxar and Ketar and i've got some implications it might happen again.
