BrickWarriors Mar 2016 - New Sabertooth Pieces
blarghiflargh replied to Thrash's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Love the new parts, though I'd have liked them in tan/dark tan like the renders showed. Feel the details would pop more, they disappear a bit in black and brown. Planning on ordering a few of the available colors anyway. Speaking of colors, would really love a steel colored Steampunk Helm. -
I'm guessing it's this, based upon the classic-style head of the female minifig:

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
blarghiflargh replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Or perhaps it's because it's the newest modular, so being next to the last two only makes logical sense... -
Wow, has he posted his reaction to this line?

I don't think this is a Castle theme as far as TLG is concerned. When LEGO puts these up at Shop@Home I very much doubt it will be under the Castle listing, but probably it's own. Though it would be interesting if that weren't the case!

Looks more like a dragon to me.

Jestro's bottom left of the artwork(cover).

Honestly just based on the color scheme this should lead to lots of nice new Ice Planet MOCs...

I like the minifigs, I like the Mecha Horse, I like the castle-tank(so far, need to see an actual photo and not the drawing). Other sets are so-so. Love the colors of the hero faction. The little knight droids are cute. Resurgence of Trans Neon Orange is a big plus for me.

Saw the pic elsewhere. Really really like it. Not for everyone but it appeals to me a great deal. Much more than Ninjago(which I like alright). I think I'm in for that castle and maybe the robo horse(which I haven't seen but sounds intriguing). Also it's more Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light(google it) than Masters of the Universe IMO. The villain Jestro looks like a human/minifig version of Quackerjack from Darkwing Duck.

BrickWarriors July 2015 - New Castle Pieces
blarghiflargh replied to Thrash's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Would love LOTR-inspired items. One thing I would like to see is more items to plug onto the back of the armors that have a stud... the quiver is cool but it's not going to be very useful to a person with full armor on. Maybe like an unremovable sheathed sword, or in fact a working sheath in which to put a sword. -

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

Vision is very much worth it, Baron von Strucker is not(unless you want to make a comic version). Vision is in maybe a quarter to a third of the movie and plays an important part in the plot, Strucker is in the first act and factors into a couple of plot points but ultimately is not a major factor. -

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?

Brasso is a metal polish you can use to easily remove paint from minifigs. -

I don't think people had a problem with the Black Manta set by itself, it was more of people being disappointed that the only new character was Black Manta, and the set was Batman-focused instead of Aquaman. Also the price, given those factors. -

Wonder if they're going to chrome a minifig for Gwendoline Christie's character. -
Here in the US I've noticed Pirates selling pretty well in my local stores. My local TRU has definitely sold through dozens of the $20 sets. Treasure Island was difficult to find locally for a couple of weeks. Not sure they've sold any Brick Bounties, as they are charging $10 over MSRP.

You know, if LEGO's LOTR/Hobbit license is ending, it stands to reason the other companies licenses are ending too. So it's possible LEGO, if it were so inclined, could pick up a new license allowing them to do single figures and battlepacks. Not holding my breath etc.

DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions

I think this goes unremarked in a lot of the price debate. In the UK the Helicarrier is £270 including VAT, which translates to $402 USD. The Helicarrier is $350 in the US, but before sales tax. The sales tax in the US can be as much as 10% added onto the price, so add in another $35 for a total of $385. Now that's only a $17(£11) difference, which is more than accounted for by the difference between VAT and the US sales tax(if the US had a sales tax as high as VAT, which IIRC is 20%, that set would cost $420 total or £282). -
I don't know why that is, other than the afore-mentioned budget cuts, but I've been using the bluecoats with the printed shakos as sergeants and my B&P bluecoats with their unprinted shakos as the grunts.

I feel TLG has been coasting with some of their licensed lines like JW and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Due respect to the designers but they builds just aren't interesting IMO.- 1,412 replies
