  1. OoC: Lind should be -35 gold and Karie 35+.
  2. Lind picked up the Netherwings, and admired them. "Who wants to be a black knight..." He smiled appreciatively, before changing the Cloak of Deception out for the Netherwings. He patted Jinnipher on the back. "First call takes all." He looked up towards the sky. "Why do I have the worst feeling that's going to come back and bite me...?" He shrugged. "Okay...debts are paid off...loot's divied...Guess that's my queue to be leaving as well!" He tipped his hat towards the remaining group members. "Madam Alderflask, Warlen - it was a pleasure, and I really hope we can do it again sometime. You two are great in a pinch, and I think, when a person gets to know you - good friends as well. Jinnipher...Well, at least you didn't try to get Vorpalis to sit down to a cup of tea. That's...something. Sort of. Great questing with all of you, and see you all back at the Hall!" Still tipping his hat, he strode off down the streets in the general direction of Heroica Hall.
  3. "I called 'em first. They have been called. First to call, first dibsies.Besides, see - they even have the perfect place for my Medal to slide in."* Lind stretched. "Good questing with you too, Princess Jenny."*OoC: Seriously - I just realized I can stud a round gold tile in the Chi Orb slot on the armor, and it'll look exactly like the Medal.
  4. ~This quote brought to you by the Quote Brothers
  5. "Heh. No, on that last one. But you're welcome to it. I'm personally in love with the Crown and the Netherwings - now that's a helm for a black knight to wear with pride. But the Netherwings are better overall, even though the Crown is shiny... "
  6. Like you said, battles are now getting shorter. Even the final battle in #138 only lasted seven rounds. I'm trying to go for "What doesn't kill you just makes you stronger."
  7. Imagine if someone had had those in the Falling Stars battle... I looked at them, but I decided that I would keep dreaming of someday owning a pair of Sticky Gloves. Same with the purgers - battles just don't last long enough for enough Damage to be taken...
  8. Eh, I'm going with the Netherwings. The double damage to humanoids is definitely preferable to weakened, and very much overall better than 1/6 chance of Free Hit evasion. It builds onto my build better, too. If whoever gets the Crown ever wants to sell, and I have the gold, don't hesitate to let me know, though... Cursed was sweet, but I'm not giving up my Invader Armor. You save a lot on Meads with it, and taking damage is actually a good thing.
  9. True...and they'd be cheaper than the $60 it'd take for the crown...but the crown would be cool and imposing, which would work if I go Black Knight again... Decisions, decisions...
  10. The Netherwings are probably the better drop, but I just can't see Lind wearing armor with a large pair of wings on it...
  11. "Thanks for the trip! Nice sailing with y'all!" "Is it just me, or is this place going to the wolves?" "Oooh.... " Lind drooled over the beauties. "I especially like the Netherwings. The Crown and the Purgers aren't bad, though - I personally think the Crown is the more preferable of the pair." "It's been good questing with you, Gabriel - I'll make sure to drop by sometime. For water." Lind shared a firm handshake with the mercenary. OoC: Thank you! This was an A-grade quest!
  12. "Brown. A bit messy. I should probably look up a barber-surgeon when we get back..."
  13. The Munchkin watched the sea as well. "I'm thinking...no hat. Just...hair in the wind. You?"
  14. Father Steve smacked himself on the head. "My bad." He handed Karie the Medal of Valor, and Skrall the Phoenix Essence. "Thanks for the loan - if I can ever return the favor, let me know. Not sure how the puppet thing's related..."
  15. Father Steve nodded. "What she said." Father Steve stretched. "I have the strangest sudden desire to go to join our party leader at the railing...Oh, one thing," He reached in his pocket and pulled out 35 gold. "Here, might as well get this settled up." He tossed the gold to Karie, before joining Skrall at the side of the boat.
  16. "This is horrible advice on my part...but some people just like fighting. You could just...go with it. Team up with a black knight or someone. Be bash brothers. Use your love of fighting to clean up Olegia. There are worse lines of business..." Father Steve shrugged.
  17. Father Steve nodded. "Thanks, but I have the strangest feeling I probably should leave off the booze part..." He leant back. "So - what House is everyone going to write on their Letters?"
  18. "Darn...darned music making me feel all sentimental inside. Gabriel, you should try and get a job at the Theatre. You...you could really make a good living. You've got a real talent..."
  19. "Yes, but he gets rather crusty when I ask him to figure out how to sharpen paper..." Father Steve dipped his head. "I...hope my actions have been satisfactory, and compensated in some measure for whatever happened that night in the Hall..." Father Steve dug around in the dirt, while watching Gabriel impressively summon the ship. Father Steve's eyes seemed to grow a little bit misty with the music."...For whatever it's worth...this was the best quest I've ever been on. I...know we've all had our fights, our squabbles, our mass political viewpoint differences...but I wouldn't trade it for anything. You'll are some really great mercs. If any of us can be called heroes...it's some of this group." He quickly looked away, off over the ocean.
  20. The difference is that Gob Bluth is funny.
  21. Is that an option/possibility?
  22. "You sound like the perfect person to head up such a council, then - no inflated opinions of yourself. Not a common thing..." Father Steve shrugged. "No time like the present."
  23. "Immortalis, Shadeaux, and dragons forever!"

    1. Endgame

      Endgame

      Hail Immortalis!

  24. "W-...they're gone."Father Steve watched Immortalis fly off into the night, and Charon step into nothing. Ignoring the others, he walked a few feet away from them, and bent down on one knee, his head in his hands. "If...if somehow you can hear me...Immortalis...I pledge my allegiance. If...if ever I can be of any service, be of any means in changing history for the better, in any way...I pledge my service." Father Steve raised his hand. "Whatever it is...however it is...do not let those that lost their lives be forgotten. On both sides... They gave their lives to a greater cause..." "What my fellow mercenary said. Have each town - what is left of them - elect representatives to some...council, I suppose, there really should be a better word for it - and have them create some sort of charter, some sort of document, something with laws written to knit Moone back together as well and as quickly as possible."
  25. Father Steve stared at the Moone Elf's arrogance."I...I'm out of words. I am literally, out of words. You...Just, no. Just no." He stepped away from her, shaking his head. "You're...you're... Just....no."
