  1. Father Steve, as the second to the last hero in line, stuffed a certain rug into his bag, before following the rest up the tower."Look out below, Plane of Holding - big delivery coming through..." *gulp*For once, Father Steve seemed to have nothing to say.
  2. With a mildly disgruntled look towards the half-elf, Father Steve nodded. "Ready."
  3. Three reasons - 1, I was supposed to be away, 2, Warlen was supposed to be Mystic Knighting my shield, 3, Lind had his drunken incident, and Warlen decided not to Mystic Knight it, but it was too late to change back since we were already on the quest.
  4. Probably, but the accessory slot is so useful compared to...pretty much every other slot, unless you have an exceptionally good set of gear, that it'd more than make up for it.
  5. I'm waiting for the ...
  6. "Does anyone really need this rug? I mean, it's got blood all over it..."
  7. *huh* *huh*...Lind is never getting on Vindsval's bad side*. *A second time** **Of course, if he was on Vindsval's really bad side, there wouldn't be any possibility of a second time.
  8. "Probably best. I'm getting the distinct feeling everyone's opinion of my intelligence level is dropping like a stone." "Despite my barely being able to see it, let me be the first to congratulate you on the quality of your peoples' craftsmanship. A truly excellent castle.Dratted fog, spoiling the sightseeing..." "Unless anyone wants to go search for the palace armory like I suggested early on, or a certain half-elf - or anyone else stocking them - feels like selling me a couple of highly useful potions - I'm ready to go face a dragon.I think I'll spend these few moments while I wait for the rest of y'all making sure that...are attended to...saving the...yeah, I'm just going to search for anything, eh, "lying around"." Father Steve searches the room for anything "lying around". It's the aftermath of a huge struggle. There's got to be a few things lying around...
  9. "The teachings of the Dodekube. You see, the Dodekube isn't the top of his "pantheon" - in fact, the Dodekube itself is said to be only the carried out actions of even greater beings - beings that control all of us. We never see them, we never hear them, and we likely never shall, but they control us. We are the living embodiments of their desires, their intentions, and their designs. We live through them, as they live through us." Father Steve shrugged.
  10. "The greater good I stand for is that, whatever happens, the most people live as possible. The Regret wasn't after the "greater good," he was after the advancement of his life and his ideals." *Sigh* "None of us are masters of our fate, Miss Alderflask. None of us. We're all controlled by greater beings than we can understand, and what we perceive as free will, is their machinations." "Aww. I liked that guy..."OoC: I'll need to get off shortly. Lind's ready to follow the group to wherever, and if a round is fought tonight, and I don't post, Kintobar/Skrall can control him. Keep in mind, he's Encouraged.
  11. "Because I have yet to see any evidence that he is affecting them in a negative manner. As it was, he seemed quite competent." "That is an excellent question. I will remember to ask it the next time we meet. Whether or not it will favorable to his character...will need to be determined then. I do not have the full data at the moment. Perhaps, by letting hundreds of thousands die, they saved millions. Or, perhaps he is part of a group of notoriously careless demi-entities. I quite simply do not have the data at the moment. However, after speaking with him as little as I had time to, I feel confident in him. Keep in mind, he helped save us. Perhaps we are a tool to help save the lives of millions."
  12. "Sometimes, global events have to be manipulated in a certain fashion for the benefit and preservation of the current population," Father Steve said angrily. In a calmer voice he continued. "Suppose that you knew of, let's say, demons invading from another dimension. Their coming would inevitably change the world as we all know it for the worse. If people even so much as knew about the demons coming, there would be terror in the streets and panic in the air. So, you go, you close up the invasion, and keep the world safe for another day, with no panic, and none the wiser. Would you really blame me for "manipulating" things in that case?" "I'm just saying, we have to keep the fact in mind. This party is just not capable of fighting two dragons at once - we're barely capable of facing one..."
  13. Suddenly realizing that Vorpalis hadn't been the one to write the note, Lind stepped cautiously back from the grave. "...Just out of curiosity... How many dragons were we supposed to be disposing of, again?" "We only met one person, and he was a very nice person.I really hope he wasn't Charon's son - that would be quite a shame. Charon was such a nice chap. Or one of Charon's friends - that could put a damper on any further visits..." "If someone left a note, and that someone was Vorpalis's father, since the two of them are brothers...you do realize we could be fighting two dragons, right? As in, one plus one? As in, one more than was on the contract?"
  14. No, that he was Vorpalis's son, when we thought they were brothers.And...suddenly I realize that the person/dragon who left the note, was probably not the person/dragon who built the grave.
  15. "Don't worry, Sir King - we'll take care of everything." "Yes they are..." Lind eyed the flowers suspiciously, and searched around for any sort of a spoor from the person that might have left them. Lind peeks annoyingly over her shoulder. "...His...child?!?Suddenly, I'm glad I had to retire from questing for a bit..."
  16. How can the crate be magnetic enough to attract gunpower, yet it's only when it's opened that the lights start swinging around... Yes, which was mildly frustrating, as I had the perfect place to drop it... Also: Plot twist!!!! (Fifteen feet away): "That's a nice piece of loot, that's a nice piece of loot, that's a nice piece of loot, meh, don't need it, that's a nice piece of loot..."
  17. "Agreed." Father Steve prepared to help carry Faust."Warlen, could you spot me a Smelling Salts and a Nostrum? Here's the 60 gold."
  18. Father Steve hopped over. "Let's get this dousing started!" It was clear the alien adrenals were once again shooting through his blood - and that they were making him somewhat giddy. He shoved the handle to the right, and kept a steady stream of mist pouring onto Faust. "...You okay there, buddy? You don't look quite right..." OoC: Lind is Encouraged - half-health.
  19. "You mean like the two I've killed on my own, just this battle - including your top general? Yeah - really good job you're doing there."
  20. "...And another one bites the dust, another one bites the dust...!" Father Steve targets Mermont Spearman E from the back row with his Steel Knife. If Assassination doesn't take place, he repeats with his Darker Ethereal Deck, if it does, he targets Mermon Swordsman D from the back row with his Darker Ethereal Deck. If Spellblade is rolled: Father Steve targets Mermont Spearman F from the back row with his Steel Knife. If Assassination doesn't take place, he repeats with his Darker Ethereal Deck, if it does, he targets Mermont Mage B from the back row with his Darker Ethereal Deck.
  21. "While I keep killing things and being generally awesome, could someone lend her a Smelling Salts, so she'd have time to take that chip off of her shoulder?" "Let's be fair here - that's a pretty sweet reward. Also, you're welcome, on the whole "I totally saved your King's life" front." "Why, thank you!"
  22. Gotcha. Re-edited to original state.
  23. I wasn't sure if you were asking anyone to submit an action for Jinnipher, or JimBee in particular...
  24. I was seeing a way to rack up points in the Arena, in the unlikely case the scoring system was revamped a certain way... Ooh, that would work in the Arena regardless of a revamp.
  25. If you were fighting another PC, could you throw bones at them?
