Lind raised his glass slightly, in acknowledgement of the barbarian's introduction, before finishing his water."Does anyone know how a person might send a Z-Mail, or who to talk to to send a Z-Mail? I'm afraid I haven't kept up with that particular bit of technology..."
-
"Pleasure to meet you as well. Oh, I don't know - there just aren't too many types of heroes running around out there with huge dark wings strapped to their backs." "Hmmm..." Lind eyed the wine. "...I suppose I'll try half a glass, then, if you insist."
-
Could you - IRL, I'm assuming? That'd be great, thanks!
-
Here's to hoping the game lasts that much longer. Any idea as to level, or will it be for newbies?
-
True. I guess, at the end of the day, I just really like the "dropped by Aliens" bit - it fits Lind's character. And I know that if I take damage, my armor will either reduce it to the point where the damage minimal, or I'll get a helpful positive effect.
-
True, but Electric and Holy/Light enemies aren't exactly the most common enemies out there...
-
I half considered Lind retraining as a Raider, to take best advantage of double damage to humanoids with Ravage, while keeping gold thieving in the picture, but Natural Respite would all but kill the point of wearing the Invader Armor. Also, Black Knight/Assassin really fits his character more anyways.

...If we wind up questing together, I'm paying the Mage to continually wash you off with Water.

Question about reworking a rejected quest from the past.
-
"Thank you." Lind sat down across from the Mystic Knight."Thank you kindly for the offer, but...bad things happen when I drink anything stronger than mead." Lind held the glass of water up. "I stick to this stuff when I'm in the Hall." He stuck his hand across the table. "Lind Whisperer. Black Knight. Although I suppose the wings make that somewhat obvious..."
-
Lind nodded to the Yeti. "Pardon me one minute." After serving himself a glass of water, he crossed back across the room and stood behind one of the chairs at the table where Thalion was sitting. "This chair taken?"
-
The black knight shook hands with the Yeti. "Lind Whisperer."He looked the board over. "Fields again...No. Bones...Well...It'd be an honest day's work, no bones about it, but...Errrrmmmm. I really wish he'd put down more details on these "hats". A good hat's always useful."
-
The black knight shrugged. "Just asking what's going on, what's news - the usuals."
-
It was your own quest... *looks up quest spelling* Change that to Rosalia Vorpalis.Well, I guess it was definitely just me that thought Rosario Vorpalis.
-
I'd imagine when Sandy gets on - presuming he can do it on his friend's computer Had it decapitated on Crits, like Warlen suggested, I imagine half the party would have fought over it...
-
The black knight stepped up to the outskirts of the crowd clustered around the board. "So...what's doing?"
-
Did anyone else look at this and immediately think Rosario Vorpalis? For me, at least, it was a good object lesson on the value of gold+consumables. They're handy things. And it definitely does make the loot drops feel more valuable. Basically, yes, yep, agreed, and will do in future. I need to see about typing up my extended thoughts some other time, but I can sum them up by saying it was an excellent quest - quite literally the best I've been on. I loved your hosting style, and I thought the depth of the story and characters maintained a good balance of keeping the plot going while still giving the players freedom to make their own choices. Many thanks for having me, and I really hope to quest under you again someday!

No, that's the Plasma Shield from #122. Properly, it should have printing on it, but the transparent Chima one is the closest I have.

  :wub:Oooh...Imagine if a post 60+ class option was combining (non-conflicting) House classes... It'll never happen, ever, obviously. But imagine Vind as a Chi Dragoon...
-
Awwww! Imagine Vind training a baby dragon.
-
I'd love to try Vindicator...but Vindicators don't have dragons. Chi Monk! How could I not think of that! Dragoon would definitely work too, but I feel bad for the level III dragon...All that muscle on Vind has got to be heavy.
-
I kind of picture Vindsval either working for the Guild of Invasion, or the Hinckwells...Lind's all Shadeaux, all the way. Go dragons!
-
The handful gathered in the hall were suddenly greeted by the door opening to a day that had become rather gusty, and a figure struggling to stand up against it. "Did not...take into account...wind resistance...!!!!" The figure finally managed to stumble into the Hall and closed the door. He looked around for any vacant seats.
-
An unfortunately too-familiar figure walked into the Training Room. "Oh, great, you again." "And a very good afternoon to you too, sir." "Let me guess - you'll be going Black Knight?" "Ta-da!" "Heroes do not say ta-da." "Every time a quest-bell rings-" "That's not actually a saying." "-A black knight gets its wings." "Well, you're already trained, so...I guess you're a Black Knight, now." "Sweet - see you when it's time to go Dragoon." "Heroes don't say 'sweet'." Lind Whisperer is now a Black Knight! Again.
