  1. Lind looked into it dubiously. "...Does anyone have a scroll of Tongue Sealing?" "No reason. It's...just that since the whole fog exposure thing happened, it's been kind of pleasant having you as part of the group. You're a pretty good egg."
  2. Unless they've changed them in the last year, the rule is actually 18+ preferred, but if you can behave yourself in an adult manner, you're welcome to stay. I wasn't criticizing its presence - I was merely asking if I could borrow/mod the system, and explaining one of the reasons why I wasn't simply suggesting they join this game.
  3. Lind attempts to draw a flaming gumball from the same barrel Gabriel did. "I wonder if there's anyway to can the fog...The Alchemists' Guild might pay a nice copper or two for something that can do that sort of thing..." Father Steve clapped his hands.
  4. Mystic, you can only sign up for quests that are currently available. Quest 1# ended over three years ago. Currently, the only quest that is available is the Fields of Glory.
  5. Father Steve stretched out on an adjacent cot. "So...anyone play Decamon? I've got half a deck on me..." "Shh! Don't spoil it!"
  6. Father Steve frowned. "...That sounds pretty risky and complicated. And I say that being the person whose plans are nothing but risky and complicated."
  7. Welcome to Heroica, Ezeran Yavarr (Mystic Modulus)!
  8. It's a private school site. I attend classes there.
  9. "Seconded." Father Steve looks around for any empty bottles. "You doing alright, there, friend? You don't look so well..."
  10. "Keep in mind, we have to keep a low profile. Unless you saw some nice gear lying around there. In which case, we need to keep a low profile while commandeering that gear..."
  11. "Well..." Father Steve reached into his Bag of Holding and pulled out Puffy. "We've got the fog nullifier.I love legally acquired loot as much as the next person, but a whole city...that's a lot of enemies. I'm up for whatever, though." Father Steve ducked his head. "...I'm afraid so."
  12. That's correct, and thanks, but it's a private site.I'd direct them over here, but Heroica has a tendency to be on the...more grown-up side of things, occasionally. (See ending of #122 for a prime example.) I'm in the younger half of people over here, and in the older half of people over there.
  13. Father Steve bowed his head sadly. "I regret to have to be the one to inform you, m'lady, but...Marlow bravely gave his life in service to his country." "I've got fire bombs..."
  14. "The same. Although I always make sure to have at least one screw just a little bit unscrewed. Makes life more exciting that way, don't you think?"
  15. A Gibbous moon is a moon that's half full+ 404?
  16. Father Steve, being a former rogue, looked longingly towards the unlooted boxes, but used his new knife to cut Rydel and Eloen's bonds. "...For someone who's supposed to be executed tonight, you look surprisingly...unexecuted."
  17. That's because I'm rather vague/uncertain as to all the changes I may need to do.
  18. I'm renaming the Player Classes and their equipment readouts. That's about it...
  19. Uhhh...Basic classes as in Rogues, Knights, Mages, etc. Not sure how you got NPC out of that. It's necessary because the universe is not strictly fantasy, so a few changes - mostly renames - need to be made to adapt for the setting. Yes, it's a custom campaign in a custom universe. There's another forum I frequent, that among other things is fond of RP, but they're having trouble coming up with a new one, so I said "Why not try a RPG?". So, I'm asking if I can borrow these rules since gaming doesn't get much simpler than the Heroica set-up. If the trial quest - a pretty simple little thing - is popular, I don't see why a second, etc., might not be eventually run.
  20. Would it be alright if I modified the rules/basic classes to use for a small, private quest* among some acquaintances? *If it proves popular, that might become quests... (The quest would very much be in a non-Heroica setting, it's not something I could run here.)
  21. Father Steve bowed a fairly respectable bow. "My apologies, my mind seems strangely fogged these last few weeks. Please, continue." "Ah, wonderful! Misery, what a sweet sorrow you are..." Father Steve followed Karie/the rest of the group.
  22. And it was only then, that the rogue, who prided himself on noticing anything worthy of loot, and had even named his player race Munchkin, realized that the yellow ones in the crowd were humans, not Moone Elves...
  23. Father Steve smiled, and spread his hands wide. "I suppose I would not." He looked up at the sky, and shivered. "This weather begs fair to turn foul.Unless the dear Professor has anything he'd like clarity upon, I do believe we should seek resting quarters. Any recommendations for a fair, affordable place of lodging?"
  24. OoC: No, thanks, this is fine. "Interesting." Father Steve coughed into his sleeve. "My apologies - the long wanderings of a priest lighten the heart, but burden the body.I am not one to get involved in politics - such things are not the place of a humble padre - but what crimes against the people did Faust commit, for such hatred against him?" Father Steve once more coughed into his sleeve, turning his head ever so slightly towards the party. "*cough* Put on a Trickster's Mask of the Moone Elf, and it'd be hard to tell the difference.Do they make those?*cough*"
  25. OoC: Where is Father Steve? Is he still talking with the fanatic? Or was he waved into the fog with everyone else before he went over to talk to her?
