"...That'd be funny if it didn't show that you'd missed the entire point of my comment..." "And you're better at ignoring the party leader than at 'actually completing quests'."
-
^What he said.

Lind looked up at the argument above him. "If she doesn't want it..." He thought a moment. "Eh, worst comes to worst I extract the Amythest and I've got a spare shield...Pardon me one more moment, gentlemen, and my apologies for my repeated coming and going." He walked back up the stairs. "Since I'm assuming the shield's open to all bidders, since she turned down first dibs on the deal, I'll pay the full 120 gold for the shield - upfront, without any payment plan."
-
"It's your bankruptcy proceeding." "Killing a Prior Dragon. Well, actually, a dragon that was so old and powerful they're thinking about a new classification for it. I'm trying to get a vote behind Prior..."Lind nodded to Terry. "Pleasure to meet you, but I think I'm going to start in on this water before it goes bad." He cheerfully walked back down the stairs, which he had apparently come up - am I the only one that keeps forgetting that the Hall is really built on two levels, not one? and slipped back into his seat at the table.
-
Lind shrugged non-confrontationally. "That policy is going to lose you a lot of gold if you stick to it..." Lind picked up a pitcher of water from the bar. "Bit each other's heads off for a full quest."
-
Lind raised his eyebrows at the Moone Elf. "You're thinking of being a Black Knight? I pinned you down as more of the Paladin type..."OoC: ...suitable to Black Knights only; shield.
-
"I'm pretty sure we haven't met." He stuck out his hand. "Lind Whisperer."

Ooh, loot dropped by the Master (Gear) Builder himself...I wonder if I should sign up...
-
Lind shrugged. "Hey, one day I was farming a bed of mushrooms - and if you worked on a farm, you know what that means - and the next, I was off to guard the finest in Akrone wine."The black knight lovingly patted his armor. "Only one year later, and this is me. Give it a year or so yourself, and you'll be fast on your track to...whatever it is you focus on."
-
"What she said." The black knight nodded, and pinned a piece of paper to the board.
-
"No bones about how difficult the scarabs were, eh?"

Everyone in favor of a sudden attack in #137 by the Vampyre Kowman of the Apokolipse, raise your hands!

It's apparently the second, if the site's security features function properly. I set it on "high" security, and limited poll selections to a single vote per person. I suppose someone might have continually dumped cookies or something, but that seems like an excessive amount of work for a pra nk/joke/etc...One obvious problem with the single vote system was that it limits players who have two characters to a single vote, but all such characters are new enough I decided it wasn't worth screwing up the results. That one worked real well. One of the mods needs to reset pra nk back to reading pra nk...

True, but most Heroes that have rep have it for multiple Houses - the idea is to figure out which House they would pick if it came down to their only supporting a single House.

A-yep. Shadeaux - 10% - 2 votes Ziegfried - 14% - 3 votes Hinckwell - 0% - 0 votes Ji Pei - 14% - 3 votes Guild of Invision - 0% - 0 votes Bonaparte - 0% - 0 votes Wolfgang - 14% - 3 votes Other - 48% - 10 votes League of Old Men - 29% - 6 votes King Guts - 10% - 2 votes Sir Poletad - 5% - 1 votes Not the Shadeaux, just to annoy you Lind, xxx - 5% - 1 votes Green Skins United - 5% - 1 votes I'm thinking I might close it. I'm glad everyone's having fun, but the idea was to get an actual sampling of which Houses have the most Hero supporters, while we wait for Sandy to get his computer fixed...

Out of curiosity, what would Lind have seen if he'd gone into the fog as well?
-
Lind edged slightly around the table, putting a few more inches between him and the vampire.

Was there every any group called The League of Old Men, or an attempt at a group, in Heroica? Because that's the second (joke?) vote for them yet, and the only pop-culture reference I can find is that it was the title of a book by Jack London.

Fair explanation and well argued. I still think a better name then "Convert" might be found, simply as it's not exactly converting if they already believe in the deity, but that's an excellent argument for the logistics of the trait.

I was thinking of all of the people that'd scramble to be on a joint quest as awesome as that idea would be, and I was wondering about questee number presidence... I was reminded of the Barnum effect when I was reading the descriptions, and I was curious to see if it was in application. Imagine being on the follow-up to the epic #138, and being on a Zepher quest, at the same time... I literally just shivered.

Is the Tarot game in #137 based on descriptions of real Tarot cards? What was the highest number of heroes ever allowed on a quest?
-
Awesome. Agreed!
