Don't forget the Fangpyre Mech was originally meant for Jay, in-series. And then, the snakes turned it, etc*. *Why didn't the Fangpyre just bite the ground? If you can turn inanimate objects into snakes, why not just speed the whole thing up and bite the planet...

BioSHIPtember Discussion Topic
Lind Whisperer replied to Lind Whisperer's topic in LEGO Action Figures
That is a good question... I did say that , but after careful consideration, I'm afraid that it wouldn't count, as the general intention of the pool is to build Bionicle spaceships, not robots. A robot that turned into a spaceship would count, though.- 9 replies

BioSHIPtember Discussion Topic

There's no reason we can't do both. BioSHIPtember is specifically for the idea of Bionicle and spaceships. I'm fully in favor of BIOctober.- 9 replies

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Lind Whisperer replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Google Translate lists it as "10246 Detective Agency". I'm guessing that for the shops besides the Agency, if one is supposed to be Asian, it will probably use one of these: -
Disclaimer: This is not an official Eurobricks Community Build, nor is it an unofficial contest. It is a group Flickr project, inspired by the larger Shiptember Flickr group. Here's the basic idea for BioSHIPtember: All entrants build a spaceship in LDD at least 100 studs long, and complete it by October 1st. *If you start a WIP topic, you can link it any time between now and October 1st. I will keep the page updated. The rules are simple: The theme is "Bionicle In Space". Interpretation is left up to the builder. Ships must be at least 100 studs long. Antenna do count. No ships longer than 250(The chances of anyone submitting a ship this long are small, but it'd save time for the renderer). All building must be finished by 12:00 UTC, October 1st, 2014. It must seat at least 1 Bionicle sized figurine. The choice of how to interpret that is up to the builder(Toa, minifig toa, Matoran - all are acceptable). You must post at least one picture in the main BioSHIPtember Group, and a link in your description to your .lfx. Still lacking: 1 person willing to take all of the final .lfxs, and compile them in one giant BioSHIPtember render. BioSHIPtember Group SHIPtember Group

Heroica RPG- Quest #103: Alfendi Lupine Strikes Again!
Lind Whisperer replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Ooc: Sorry about that! Amid the roar(or, to be more precise, light clanging and minor banter) of battle, Lind drinks a potion. "Huh. Tastes like chicken."- 500 replies

What I was thinking was we could do a quick Shiptember contest, just in LDD. The same rules as normal Shiptember, just based around Bionicle. And, maybe we could get someone to render all of the ships together as a final image or something.

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Lind Whisperer replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The ironic thing, is that TOR is more "Star Wars" than the original series. "Star Wars" was less "giant galactic conquests" and more "tiny Rebel navies engage in small skirmishes with minor Imperial fleets.". Sure, RotJ had a impressive battle at the end...until you remember that there is a whole galaxy of worlds building starships out there. A truly "impressive" battle would fill several solar systems with crusiers and heavy fighters. TOR, on the other hand, has a huge, multi-planet galaxy-wide battle between two major armies - much more like the idea that the title "Star Wars" is supposed to invoke. Of course, it's more "Star War," but still... -
Anyone have a bunch of Technic/feels like building in LDD? We could have a Bionicle Shiptember. Or Bioshiptember.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Lind Whisperer replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I personally feel that a detective agency above a laundromat/diner would be very interesting to build. Also, I see no reason why it couldn't be cleverly built - heck, I've got several ideas of my own as to how it might look! "Makes a mental note to at least build a .lfx of an agency if it doesn't turn out to be the next one." -

I don't think that that would be too much of an issue, seeing as how we have a scorpion fig and a spider fig at the same time as Overborg*. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if it turns out to be the old character, but I'm prepared for it to go either way. *I get that it's a reference to the mechno aspect, I just couldn't resist. -
"drools over the harbor" Many thanks for sharing! Beautiful work.

New LEGO Fantasy Theme -- A MOC Series
Lind Whisperer replied to Nuju Metru's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Seriously well done! They all are brilliantly built, but my favorite has to be the Myrdoc Army Pack, with the Issiad Army Pack following close behind. I am seriously sad we aren't going to see them in real life! What is the Ardun Knight's torso piece? -
I know. I was secretly geeking out a bit back when I first got accepted onto #103 with the finder of Pod 7. I can't believe I didn't make the connection between Arthur's name and AJR7's, though - especially when I realize that Arthur shares a headpiece with him!

I'm here, just waiting for a #103 update and hoping that Mr. Mathis will let me have the .lfxs. Imagine having the instructions to build the original race cars from the Bradford Rant trailer

If it's a continuation, it probably won't as suffer from that as much as it will if it's a reboot.

I am thrilled! I was expecting to have to have to get an Ecto-1 specifically for the hair! But this one even comes with a torso! LEGO, you have made a very, very, very good choice. Whoever it was that suggested this, deserves a hefty raise. Of course, I'll still have to get that Ecto-1 for a hairpiece for my Ransak custom*, but still. *Unless, by all that is wonderful, we get a Mr. Fantastic with the same hair as in LMSH. Kendo Jay.

Well, it's a good thing that Air and Water are only $14.99, if it's a reboot. Those are the ones that I'd most be interested in having for parts. If it's a continuation... The full 2015 Pirate line is a must-collect, and with a bunch of sets from current and going-out lines that I still need to collect...ouch. *I realize that these are not that far off from the "original" price point, but I hadn't calculated a rough estimate of the full expense of collecting the line.

I'm afraid grinding is sort of a necessity for any MMO - it's how you keep non-dedicated players playing. And when it comes to micro-transactions, annoying as they can be, if they had been included in LU, we might very well still be playing it*. *Also if the whole moderation system had been re-worked. I get what they were trying to do, but it wasn't until the very last month that any in-game appearances by a Mythran were common. And the chat system blocking numbers was not really very preventative. I get that it was so that people wouldn't give out their phone numbers, but it really froze up trading. And, with the slang number language we made up to facilitate trading, the number blocking became even more of a good idea that didn't quite work.

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

^^Don't forget a minifig scale Ebon Hawk! Seriously, that ship to scale is the size of the last two Millennium Falcons. And it wouldn't even need any fancy molds for the cockpit either. -
LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
Lind Whisperer replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
One by one: T-16 Skyhopper: I like the octagonal flaps, clever way to make that difficult shape work. I'm hoping that they don't think that that rat counts as a two meter Womp rat. Unless it's a SW:tOR era Womp Rat, in which case it's actually about right. Also, new Tusken Raider! Senate Commando Troopers: Not exactly sure why Senate Commandos would need a AV-7 Cannon with a chain-gun mod. Not a bad set, just doesn't make sense to me. Geonosis Troopers: Is that a Republic Commando? If so, high five. Another chain gun. I take it that's one of the new pieces for this wave. Hailfire Droid: Too small for very many thoughts. I do think that this will be one case where the new missiles fit the model, though. AAT: I can't decide if this one is too small or just right. Either way, those tan pieces look nice. Imperial Troop Transport: Definitely one to stock up on. It looks like LEGO finally decided to give us a good army builder. Now, if they only had guns, they'd be perfect. With the functional but media inaccurate stud-shooters... Shadow Troopers: Well, it will be useful to have that part in black, I suppose. Other than that, not too much to comment on. AT-DP: It's a chicken walker, that's not a chicken walker. Not much else to say. Ezra's Speeder Bike: Are we going to see the Disney Pink Approved Mandalorian Princess in this one? Looks like not. The bikes don't look bad at all, though. Tie Advanced Prototype: Very, very...round. Not a bad build, just...round. Wookie Gunship: Cool! We get to see all the defenses that the Wookies clearly had at the time of the movie! Remind me, again, how exactly did the Empire enslave thousands of them? Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter: For $50, it better be a good custom... ARC-170 Starfighter: Not bad. Even better if it's an exclusive helmet print. Vulture Droid: You do realize, LEGO and Disney, that kids do realize that the droids are sentiment by themselves, and don't need a pilot? Snowspeeder: No issues here, just your standard Micro Fighter build. AT-AT: AT-AT? All I see here is a strangely built beetle with pie pans taped to his feet. Of which he has only four for some reason. Republic Gunship: The average. Homing Spider Droid: I like this one, for some reason. They managed to get the proportions about right. -
Eurobricks has size restrictions on how much you can upload, especially for new members. If you make an account at Flickr, or Brickshelf, you should be able to upload images to there, and use the "Embed Image" function to embed as many as you need. Official LEGO sets actually suffer from this as well. Minute changes in the dye mixture can produce vastly different shades and colors.
