I love the colors in this build! And the microship. I agree that the table is little too modern for the period, but a nice build nonetheless. Well done!

[Merrynight] Fir Tree Plantation near Montario
Capt Wolf replied to Elostirion's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Something about the palm tree roof on the sales shed of a fir tree lot cracks me up! I like the detail of a couple of cut stumps among the young trees. Well done. Like you needed more ideas?! But I can't wait...- 7 replies

Beautiful tree, and a fun build! I'm trying to imagine rowing a boat with a standing fir tree in it! -
[COR - FB] Gardens of Arlinsport
Capt Wolf replied to SilentWolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Beautiful build! The gazebo is great, and I like how there are distinct sections of the garden with unique features. The boardwalk and fountain are good as well, and your story adds a little mystery to it all. Excellent all the way around! -

Those sloped curves for the beach look great! And I really like the assorted vegetation you've built. Good story and MOC! -
Lovely micro ship! The wide main sails make me think she's got studding sails set.

[ESL-FB] Weelond Investment and Financial Exchange
Capt Wolf replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks for the kind words! I agree the build needed the street activity to come to life, but I still used the other figs to show off the building itself adequately. As for your offer, uh, no. Certainly not at that rate! In general, I'm not going to take any deposits until I see if anybody is going to take out any loans. Otherwise it is certainly a losing proposition! Thank you! The roof suggested a fancy building, and the microfigs added to that, I think. Thanks. I was pleased with how the colors worked. It wound up being one of my favorite builds so far. Thanks! Yes, the vault extension was a must. I agree I wish there was some way to add depth to the roof. And you are correct about the carriage: It is modified from the POTC design. -

Yes, the Plunging Dagger it is, and you get to take care of the paperwork. -
Beautiful ship! Lovely stern, and the cloth sails always add a lot to the finished build. The crewmember atop the foremast is a nice touch. And she is licensed now.

OK, we can assign a 4A to escort your shiny new 3F, but please offer the two other slots in a possible flotilla to other ESL members. -
Yup. Figured it out after I shut off the PC and phone and went to bed.

Phred, I'm trying to figure out the transaction numbers on my Dec tally. The sheet has me at 313 DBs outflow, but I can only come up with 103 DBs I've sent out (88 to distribute shares from the MRCA, 8 for shares on a property, and 7 -I think- for a correction on a payment received). I have no idea where the other 210 DBs went, unless payments I was making for the MCTC got marked against my account or something like that. Could you take a look and see what's up (or what great expense I'm totally forgetting)? Thanks. Edit: Never mind; figured this part out, but continue below. Also, it looks like Eslandola was charged for all 4 ship licenses I submitted earlier this week, but three of them were captured ships that shouldn't have cost us anything. Only the Stormbringer II should have cost us.

Building ships, licensing properties, raising troops, and financing expeditions to find new islands are not cheap endeavors. And when you bring back all that gold from your latest expedition, where are you going to store it? In all of these cases, the Weelond Investment and Financial Exchange is here to serve you. The Weelond Investment and Financial Exchange is willing to help you with financing expensive endeavors, for a fee or a percentage of course. And the secure vault is a safe place for you to store your gold and other precious metals and gems. You could even make a small percentage of profit if you allow the Exchange to use your gold in its transactions, while your total deposit value is guaranteed. You can post banking inquiries here or PM Capt Wolf if you want to discuss things privately. The Exchange is located on a prominent street corner in Weelond. Today we see a wealthy adventurer concluding a deal with the banker. A ne’er-do-well hiding around the corner will be disappointed to discover that all of the adventurer’s gold is safely in the vault. About the build: This MOC started out as an experiment to see what I could do with a couple of those big roof pieces from a Harry Potter set. I’m happy with how I was able to extend the length of the roof, but the depth of the building is still very limited, so I added the rear extension for the vault. Turning it into an actual operating bank was a spur of the moment idea as I was working on the write-up. We’ll have to wait to see if I make a fortune or go broke! More pictures without the figures: Thanks for looking. All C&C (and banking inquiries) welcome!

In general, my advice is to go ahead and do things in the game rather than wait for what's around the corner, but in this case I see your point. -
[OL] A view of Breshaun's bustling port
Capt Wolf replied to blackdeathgr's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great scene! I always like these port MOCs, and overpopulating them is a must! All the structures are lovely, particularly the inn. the bridge is very nice, too. I like the color choice of dark blue for the warehouse roof. Seems appropriate! And the bits of dark green foliage on the water is a nice touch. So, what does the bridge lead to? And how could the city elders allow that derelict house to sully the port?! -
Eslandola Colonial Council Campaigns - First Cycle, 617
Capt Wolf replied to Kai NRG's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
As newly appointed Director of the MCTC, Governor Willem Guilder (right) will represent the MCTC in the first Colonial Council. For the other two seats in the MCTC delegation, Guilder is calling upon Aaron van der Meede (center), a young lawyer who serves on the Weelond town council; and Philip “Pip” Janszen (left), captain of the Far Horizon and lifelong member of the MCTC.
