[OL-FB] Holiday Tree Lot in Astrapi
Capt Wolf replied to Capn Frank's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Very nice! And Merry BoBSmas! Is the sign with the size/price chart an official Lego piece? -

Governor Willem Guilder is also satisfied with the formalized document and will sign. -
I'll echo that: Wow! The story was worth the wait! And there's a lot to look over in that wonderful MOC. Nice combination of paved area and foliage, great figure posing, and the tavern would be great on its own (but I especially like that you have it on an angle in the build).

[OL-FB] Small Fort at The Crown
Capt Wolf replied to Capn Frank's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Please, steal away! You've put it to great use! You've got a lot of activity in this scene (and I think the crabs with pirate bicorns and weapons would scare off any intruders!). Great job! -
Beer delivery on the Grand Road of Nellisa
Capt Wolf replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks! If down at its level, you can see that the tree branches are too level, and the leaves stratified. But with any elevation in viewing angle it looks good. I'm glad you like it! Thanks! The wedge plates seemed a natural way to deal with the angle of the road. And that was one of the things I liked most about this build: keeping a lot of it askew from the 90-degree grid. As for the useful building, surely with all the travelers on the road some must get thirsty! -
Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)

I always thought the rigging technique would look good, and then I discovered your LDD builds and had it confirmed for me. I always enjoy your ships. -
[Minichallenge - SR] The Painted Ladies
Capt Wolf replied to nivremis's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Excellent take on the gangs challenge! You've done some great minifig posing (the girl in the tavern with her leg on the stool is a great effect), and I love the hair piece you've used as the fire in the fireplace in the last picture. Well done!- 6 replies

Beautiful market scene! I'll echo blackdeathgr: the hot air balloon pieces as roof/awnings is great! The size and scope is fantastic, so much detail and minifig activity. The blue and white building is nicely done, with good use of arches and color. And the road itself has justthe right amount of surface detail. Excellent MOC!

Interesting gang, but your great lighting effect for the fire and that huge Gatling gun steal the show.

[OL - FB] The Colonisation of Windfall Island
Capt Wolf replied to Sebeus I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Fantastic! The harbor is quite busy, and I love the concept of the small island in the bay. Construction appears to be going well, and this will assuredly be one of the most secure harbors in the Prio Seas. Great build! And it's always nice to see the Beatrix. -
[COR-FB] The Royal Society School in King's Harbour
Capt Wolf replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Excellent build! I especially like the use of columns and arches to add detail to what could have been a bland structure. Add the beautiful landscaping and good story, and this is a winner all around! -

Capt Wolf replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great foray into LDD! I didn't even realize it wasn't real bricks at first. Excellent row house, with nice detail at the entry and the roof (not to mention the interior!). Well done! And if you're starting to dabble in LDD, I fear none of us will be able to keep up with you!- 5 replies

[COR-FB] Not just any intersection
Capt Wolf replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice build. The cotton field is a nice touch. Although I must correct the mistaken impression that Eslandolans are not very religious. Many Eslandolans are members of the Church of Sol and Luna , and Nova Terreli does have the Chapel de San Terreli.- 2 replies

[Minichall - COR] It taunteth me!

Excellent! This made me LOL! The "nightcaps" strewn about are perfect! And to me it looks like he's moved into a basement, which makes it all the funnier. -
[Minichallenge - COR] Ruts on the Road
Capt Wolf replied to SilentWolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Excellent MOC with lots of detail! The mud puddle and ruts are represented well. My favorite detail is the picnic scene, but it is one of many small scenes in the build. Well done! -

This is one of my favorite gangs for this mini-challenge. Great concept, interesting characters, good story, and very nice interior MOC. I echo KB that I would like to see more of these characters in the future. -

On the Grand Road of Nellisa, near Nova Terreli, is a small roadside tavern. Today is delivery day, and the tavern owner and his family are happy to see the brewer's cart arrive. The tavern owner's handyman rolls the kegs of beer into the tavern... ...and the brewer's workman loads the empty kegs onto his cart to take back to the brewery. The road is still muddy in places from a recent rain, but the old draft horse doesn't mind. It's better than a hard, dusty road, and the trip back to the brewery will be much lighter pulling empties instead of full kegs. *************************************************** This build is 1280 studs (32x40). I'm submitting it for consideration in categories A (Action on the Road) and M1 (Nova Terreli: Merchants). All C&C welcome!

Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)
Capt Wolf replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks! This ship is a development of the basic design I used for the Heart of Eslandia / Bellson, so the bow should look somewhat similar, but I haven't worked out the details yet. I've been able to move the foremast forward a bit with the revised rigging style, and the whole ship is 4 studs longer. -
Eslandola's Colonial Council - Discussion
Capt Wolf replied to Garmadon's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Sorry I missed this earlier. I like it! And I'll disagree with Kai; I think this version is better than "Admius Legistrador " I'd compromise on "Admius Legistrad" though. "Legistrador" sounds like somebody mangled "legislator" to me. Or how about "Legostrad" instead? "Admius Legostrad" anyone? -
Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)
Capt Wolf replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks! The rigging took a few attempts before I got it this way. I initially started with the gunports higher, but it didn't look right. I know it rides a little low in the water, but this essentially matches my 5T build in height and width. It is absolutely the largest ship I would try to build on standard hull pieces. I already have plans for a wider version, which will allow for many elements to be moved in scale. -
Eslandola's Colonial Council - Discussion
Capt Wolf replied to Garmadon's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Ah, got it. Eventually, that will be the case. I've always liked the idea of giving the PM (who I am now going to start calling the First Coucilman or FC until we choose a name) tie-breaking powers. I just thought that idea had gone away when we gave him/her votes in the council. With the tiebreaker, it essentially gives the FC a 4th vote when needed. But as I said, I like the idea; it gives the position some power.
