  1. I like how you're telling this story! I will concur with Kai that the FP still needs some work, but I love the microbuild on its own without it! I may have to do a similar microbuild for Weelond at some point. Inspiring build!
  2. By the way, am I to take it that Gov. Guilder is not in as good a standing with Oleon as Guy Wyndzon? I thought Guilder established his request prior to Guy's.
  3. My impression was that it wasn't considered personal property, but rather royal property, and that if there was an issue, Kai and/or Garmadon would have stepped in. And I thought kabel left because of issues with ship licensing and others inability to take a joke (i.e., the problem we discussed in the PM about the issues with trash talk in the game); if there were other issues behind the scenes, I was not privy to them. Additionally, this happened after his departure. I agree that personal property is off limits. If something like this happens again, we will address it at that time. If you want to discuss this more, let's move this out of Elostirion's thread and into the Eslandola PM.
  4. Thank you. I had to get Felipe and his apple into the scene! Thank you. I really enjoyed working with the type of details that make some of the other interior builds so good, such as the door frames and candle holders. The big windows we re fun, too. I wanted to work with a bit more detail on the desks and chairs, but ultimately I decided to keep them simple so the scale worked with minifigs. This is a scene meant to be viewed with minifigs, and I hope I can keep this together long enough to post an image of the first council.
  5. The MCTC has purchased one share of preferred stock from Umbra-Manis.
  6. It's not like Elostirion is getting the monthly revenue from owning it. It's strictly story fodder. And kabel isn't just busy; he grew frustrated with the game and left. If kabel rejoins the game at any time, the status of the fortress will be addressed. I really don't think there's an issue here. But it is a great opportunity for IC storytelling and character development, and with Damaximus's royal connection, such an IC response is welcomed.
  7. Beautiful, with great attention to the details! The roofing, the sloped walls, the tiled walkway, and the ground cover at the base of the walls. Excellent!
  8. Wonderful build, and the play on words is perfect! The bold colors of the tower stand out nicely against the muted hues of the ground and vegetation. The climbing vine is an excellent touch, and your ability to create realistic, natural bases for your builds is in usual fine form. I look forward to the continuation of this story! ******************** IC: Gov. Damaximus, while I (Gov. Guilder) was not aware that Roman Fontonajo had literally kicked the viceroy out (as I was unaware that the viceroy made that his regular residence; I was under the impression he was rarely there), that story has played out over the past months. Although I was aghast at Fontonajo's bold move to declare independence as Eslandola teetered on the brink of civil war, I none-the-less supported his move to seize control of the fortress as vital to the security of the colonies. I myself sailed to Terreli with a company of troops to confront the king. That the king finally saw reason is the only reason I did not do worse than that which you accuse Roman, and If the viceroy returns to Nellisa, I'm sure suitable accommodations can be arranged.
  9. So that's where Guy's uncle went! He does seem to have a one-track mind. I really like the water and beach in this build. The kid building the sandcastle is a nice touch. The trees look a little more like Christmas trees than palm trees to me, but what do I know. They do the job, and it's a fun story!
  10. Not really. They're sort of "look but don't touch" at the moment.
  11. Hey, there are plenty of folks in Eslandola who would be interested in buying a 5LA...
  12. Can foreign trade companies (as opposed to individuals) also purchase preferred shares? If so, I believe the Merchant's Colonial Trading Company will also be interested in purchasing shares.
  13. If I'm in good standing with Oleon, I am also interested in purchasing preferred stock when it becomes available to foreigners.
  14. Hmmm, I've been working on a build I was going to license as a bank, and it should be up before the end of the month. Perhaps it should be an "investment" bank where you can buy "futures" on ships in the MRCA. The Weelond Investment and Futures Exchange, yeah, that's what I could call it. Now, what do I need to work on more, the MOC or the spreadsheet I need for its operation? Maybe I need to come up with a different name, though. Not sure I like that acronym where money's involved...
  15. Thanks. I thought you might be amused that the lecture hall is under-utilized. And I've edited the credit for the door technique. Thanks. I was concerned there might be too much green, so the desk tops are the only green I used. the desktop pattern came about by accident, but once I hit it I made sure to duplicate it. Doh! I forgot the monkey! You'll just have to get elected to the council. And thanks for the high praise! Thanks! As noted above, that has become my favorite flooring color; it's my third recent build using it.
  16. Thanks, and my apologies about credit for the door design. Now we just need the Sea Rats to steal it from me and the circle will be complete. Regarding the floor color, medium dark flesh has become my go-to color for flooring. Thank you! I'm glad the inspiration for this build was readily recognizable. The window tops are a new piece that is used in a couple of Friends sets and in the Bank. And there will only be 7-8 players in the council. Each delegation is one player, but they will have 3 characters each in the council. The Admius Legistrad (i.e., Prime Minister) is the only position that is a single character. Thanks! I was a bit worried about the coat of arms. I'd still like to come up with a better design, but this one is getting the job done. Thanks! Your recent builds with the king inspired me a lot on what I could do with details. I think the candlestick design I used is also adapted from one of your build. Thanks! I came up with the door idea for the teaser and intro shot in part because I had reached a stage of the build where I could put together a nice scene if I kept the scope limited. I'm glad it worked so well. And I've noted before that I love working other people's sigfigs into builds. This was just too good an opportunity, and the hall looks much better with figures in it. Thanks. Glad you spotted Alejandro in there. And while I don't want to do builds of this size all the time, I know that I couldn't have done nearly as well on this build a year ago. I've picked up a lot of tricks and techniques in BoBS. Thanks. I noticed I was one inkwell short after I had taken most of the pics, but I had posed one character as reaching for one, so I worked it into the story. And if I save this long enough to illustrate some action in the council later, we may not look like we know what we're doing then! Thanks!
  17. It is indeed. Thanks for the speedy service!
  18. Hasn't shown up for me. Make sure you didn't put a period in my name when making the transfer: it should be Capt Wolf, not Capt. Wolf. Thanks!
  19. I'm not sure how I failed to comment on this earlier. I love the overall look of this build. The architecture is wonderful. Great job with the tiles and masonry bricks in the walls. The water pump is spectacular, and I really like how you brick-built the fencer's stance. I'm just upset that Don Gonzalo has escaped justice!
  20. Great tavern! The roof design is unique, and I like it! Great color usage, and I always like the activity and detail of your interiors. Excellent build inside and out!
  21. That's a pretty good job of portraying peppercorn plants! (Of course, I had to do a Google search to know if that was true! ) Interesting subject matter, well presented. And even if you don't like how the pistols turned out, I tip my hat to you for trying part usage like that. Very creative!
  22. Nice job! The colors work well together, and the general architecture with the columns is well done. I like the vine climbing the wall, and you did a great job portraying the legs of the fishing minifig. But where are the doors?
