Is this an admission that King Fernando was indeed the rightful heir to the Oleon throne? -

It's not necessary, but if there is a discrepancy between the settlement thread and the troop movement records, it's a nice piece of info for solving the puzzle. It's not like anyone would ever move troops and then forget to update both settlement threads. -

One thing I added that I forgot to mention: I put a date on the troop notation, since troops can move. In this case, I confirmed troop amounts as of the MRCA deadline, so in the above example, it might be "1 company of troops as of Feb 5, 617" or something like that. -
[ESL-Ship] The Golden Crescent
Capt Wolf replied to Umbra-Manis's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I'm not sure how I failed to comment on this earlier. I really like this ship. She has character! The colors, the sails, the string with handgrips for rigging, and the flexible piece for the bow rail are all good. I was surprised she is a 3T2 because of how heavily gunned she is, but she will do the job of a trader just fine. I wouldn't mind seeing another like her as a 4A. Embrace the ship-building bug! Nice job!- 7 replies

Surely a representative of the RNTC would speak up if there was nothing to hide. And I think Montoya must be speaking with an Oleander accent these days, given how much he seems to speak for them! Can his own countrymen even understand him anymore? -

That's almost identical to what I have added to the Eslandola settlement threads, except I broke it out into two categories, Fortifications and Troops. Even the same location in the list. Great minds think alike! -

Well, as a RNTC preferred stockholder, I think it is reasonable to ask for more information on such a large expenditure without having to wait for the quarterly report. I believe Maxim, Legostone, and I are all preferred stockholders. So, I'm asking: would the RNTC please enlighten its stockholders about this expenditure now? -

I would like to "remove" a fort and replace it with a larger one. How should I go about that? -
The Lady may be chubby and without grace, but she does have character. Perhaps I'm too much of a merchant, but I like the ship! The posing of the captain when he kills the merchant (and in the pics immediately before and after) is (are) excellent! And although I shouldn't say this, lest my fellow merchants hear me: I love Captain Morgan's style! He is what I always imagined BoBS would be like.

I like it! It's like the Caribbean Clipper meets the Imperial Flagship. And that's meant as a compliment! I love design influences from the classic Lego ships.

[OL - FB] RNTC - Fort Henri

Gorgeous star fort! The angles are well hidden, and the snot walls are very effective! Wow!- 13 replies

Cool ship! Very visually interesting. I like the use of the black turntable piece in the red stripe on the side, the slotted titles on the cabin roof, and the window frames used for the main hatch. The lanterns are great, and tiled decks always make ship look good. The lattice effect along the side of the cabin are cool, too. Excellent ship all around!

Thanks! Seeing that others (kaiju, Tomsche) are having the same problem that I had, it seems to me that the automation never processes the licensing of captured ships correctly. Can that be fixed on a permanent basis (so we don't have to ask Phred to fix it every time)?

I am requesting letters of marque for the Sleeping Siren, Wolf, and Great Scott.

Thanks! I think my mistake in trying to update it was that I got a little farther away from that classic '90s feel than I should have. Thanks. And I agree about the stern. I may have to do a few more ships that are in the retro '90s style. I've spent so much time focusing on more realistic ships that I miss the charm of those '90s ships.

Phred, I just licensed three ships: a 4A, a 3A, and a 2WR. The 3A and the 2WR are my 4th and 5th ships, and if that was all there was to the story, the 825 DBs in ship license fees charged to my account would be correct. But the 4A and 3A were captured ships, so the base cost for them (300 for the 4A, and 250 for the 3A) shouldn't have been deducted, so my cost should only be 275 (100+50 for the 2WR, and 0+125 for the 3A). Would you kindly adjust my account? Thanks!

The Wolf was a Mardier privateer captured by the Eslandola ship La Salamandra in the January MRCA. A fine brigantine, the Wolf was subsequently purchased at auction by Willem Guilder of Eslandola. After some refitting, the Wolf is ready to join the defense of Eslandola’s colonies against Mardier. The ship is appropriately named, as a look at the figurehead will confirm. The crew is busy readying the guns for action. Captain Merker is happy to be back at sea after he lost the class 2A Lady’s Revenge in action against pirates. An additional picture of an uncluttered deck: ------------------------- This is a rebuild of a ship I initially built more than 15 years ago. It was not up to my current build preferences, but its size and sail plan were perfect for a class 3A ship, so I modified it extensively. Unfortunately, working with that constraint, the ships rides too high, the sides have no tumblehome, and the cabin looks a bit out of place. Furthermore, I fear she has lost a bit of the charm and character the original had. At some point I will start from scratch and build a similar vessel for another 3A, but for now this will have to do to get her into the game. As always, all C&C welcome.

The Sleeping Siren was captured in the Great Pirate Purge of June 616. Captured by a Corrington squadron, she was auctioned off the following month and purchased by Willem Guilder of Eslandola. Much to his dismay, the ship suffered extensive damage when captured, and she has been in dry dock these last six months undergoing repairs. But the work is now done, and the Sleeping Siren is ready to join the defense of Eslandola’s colonies against Mardier. The ship is appropriately named, as a look at the figurehead will confirm. The crew is busy readying her for her first voyage under Eslandola colors. The captain oversees things from the quarterdeck. Some additional pictures: This ship had started out as a sibling to the Far Horizon, but I was working on giving this one a full interior. Alas, that work stalled while my attention moved to other builds, even though the gun deck is properly armed. Eventually I just finished her up to get her into the game. As always, all C&C welcome.

[OL] Grand opening of Oleon Theatre !
Capt Wolf replied to Campistron's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Welcome to BoBS, Campistron! I saw this when it was frontpaged. Congrats! It's just marvelous! I love the architectural details, and the colors work well together. I especially like how you've left studs on the stage for placing actors, but by doing so in an orderly fashion, they don't detract from the otherwise tiled finished. All-in-all, just a thoroughly well thought-out and executed build! -
