  1. It may take some time for this message to get to Guilder. I would think Corrington should stop contemplating and reply to his earlier offer.
  2. Interesting developments in Nova Malto. Don Isaac Montoya might want to reply to the above letter ...
  3. Fortunately, we were able to speed a regiment to help you.
  4. Woo-hoo! Eslandola to the rescue! Wonderful build LS! It's rare we get to see your work on land rather than on the sea. Nice work on the damaged house, and I love the tan part of the trees.
  5. Eslandola relief efforts are underway: Food for refugees have arrived.
  6. Dear Captain Mesabi, Eslandola will send assistance immediately. We are here to help. Sincerely, Gov. Guilder
  7. Oh dear! Clearly you are in need of medial and technical assistance. (I would have thought Corrie soldiers would know how to handle explosives, but apparently not.) Should we send the nearest Eslandolan army regiment to assist you? That said, nice build. I particularly like picture 3, unloading on the dock. The carnage of the explosion is also nicely done in pic 5 (especially a hot dog/sausage for spilled innerds!).
  8. I'd make the waterline a bit higher, perhaps at the lowest dashed blue line on the hull. And add some waves from the ship's bow cutting through the water if you can.
  9. A kiwi plantation! Wonderful! Puerto Desafio is turning into the breadbasket of Isla de Victoria! Wonderful job with the microbuild, professor. I like your approach to the kiwi plants.
  10. Although I may disagree with the admiral's characterization of the final stages of the war and Eslandola in general, I must say that this is a well done story and MOC! Great dialogue. I love the sloped street; I wish we saw more builds with such stark elevation changes.
  11. Thanks! My main problem with the barracks and armory were a lack of suitable pieces for windows and such. And of course I had to include the turret. Thank you! The Brickwalls will continue to honored in more builds, I have no doubt. Thanks! I had this designed in my head for some time. Thanks! The cannons were a dilemma. I'm glad you both like my solution! Thanks! I'm glad you like the bartizan. Thank you! And it may be little as a microbuild, but it is quite large as a royal fortress. Thank you. Indeed they will. More commemorative Brickwall builds are coming.
  12. To Captain Mesabi, CEO of the Wayfarer Trading Company, I have recently sent a letter to Don Isaac Montoya in his capacity as a representative of Corrington, but felt I should also reply directly to you and the WTC. If your intentions in this matter are truly humanitarian for the refugees of Malto as you say, and you wish to avoid all semblence of politics in the issue, Eslandola proposes that the city of Nova Malto be truly free, administrated and defended by the refugees themselves as an NPC free city. Is this acceptable to the WTC? I eagerly await your reply. Gov. Willem Guilder Member of the Continental Council of Eslandola
  13. Shortly after this was sent, armed forces of Corrington landed on Isla de Victoria. To Don Isaac Montoya, consul and representative of Queen Annetta, While I take issue with some of your statements of so-called fact, many of them have been addressed by one of my fellow citizens of Eslandola, and I will not add further comment here. However, if Corrington's intentions in this matter are truly humanitarian for the refugees of Malto, and not a thinly veiled attempt at an expansion of empire on your part, would you agree to a truly free city-state for those refugees? You have so generously rebuilt their fort, using the refugees themselves as free labor, so they should be able to defend themselves. I have spoken to the many stakeholders on the Eslandolan side, and I can guarantee that Eslandola would honor the independence of such a city if run by the refugees themselves. If Corrington feels that, in their role as self-proclaimed policemen of the Brick Seas, that the freedom of such a city can only be assured by the presence of outside troops, would Corrington agree to an equal, shared military presence on the part of our two nations in support of this new, self-governing free city? I eagerly await your reply, and hope that Corrington is as honorable as she claims to be. Gov. Willem Guilder Citizen of Eslandola and the Brick Seas
  14. Very fun! That's taking the bull by the horns when it comes to innovative artillery design! Milk the idea for all it's worth!
  15. Great ship! Yes, she may be a bit top-heavy, but I like the lines, and she has character. Good colors, and wonderful detailing. I really like the brickbuilt sails; too bad they're problematic. She was definitely worth the story build-up, and I hope she can find a way to out smart the pirate (I was going to say outrun, but that won't be possible).
  16. Excellent micro warehouse! I like how you've represented the door, and the covered shed. Amazing amount of detail in such a small build. I also love the use of microfigs!
  17. Very attractive micro building! Wonderful job with the curves on the roofline. I also really like the trees! Good job making the build relevant to the situation, and bringing the White Glove Order to the island.
  18. Nice micro plantation! I must echo the others: the background / forced perspective really adds to the build. And good job working in part of the island's unique character to the build.
  19. Great story, and I love that cross-braced support piece in the walls of the tavern build. Also, Captain Dee beat me to the question.
  20. The relief effort in Malto is underway.
  21. Eslandola relief efforts are underway.
  22. The aftermath of war is ugly, and the latest war between Mardier and Eslandola was no exception. In spite of the honorable ceasefire and Mardier's negotiated retreat off the island, Mardier employed a scorched earth policy as a final gesture against Eslandola. Sadly, the only real effect this had was to impoverish the citizens left behind. Their own country had betrayed them, and a rogue captain who apparently wasn't done fighting the war hid their plight from the Eslandolans in a political power play. But his subterfuge was now revealed. Eslandola had been busy taking care of refugees from all over the island as they flocked to Puerto Desafio, but now Eslandola was sending foodstuffs and other needed items to the former Mardierian settlement of Malto, the remaining symbol of Mardierian cruelty. Here we see one of the Eslandolan relief volunteers delivering goods to a needy refugee family, whose house has been destroyed by Mardier's scorched earth retreat. They are happy to see the Eslandolans, as it is obvious they have nothing to fear.
  23. To Don Isaac Montoya, Consul and Representative of Queen Annetta of Corrington, While the Empire of Eslandola appreciates your concern for the remaining refugees on Isla de Victoria, please rest assured that none of them (save for possibly the rogue Mardierian captain) are in any danger, and in fact efforts are underway to address the problem in the former Mardierian settlement of Malto. Please note that the treaty that ended the war, agreed to by all major powers of the Brick Seas, including Corrington, acknowledged Eslandola's claim to the entire island, and that any settlement established on it is the property of Eslandola. Furthermore, any foreign (i.e., non-Eslandolan) troops introduced on the island would be a breach of our sovereignty and a violation of the peace treaty you recently signed. I sincerely hope that you will remove your troops forthwith, with our gratitude for your concern. Sincerely, Gov. Willem Guilder, Member of the Continental Council of Eslandola
  24. The royal fortress on Isla de Victoria is up and functional. May I present Fort Brickwall!
