  1. Montoya has been found! Hoo-ray! Fantastic use of color and the spiky vine pieces in the build! The oranges and reds are wonderful here.
  2. The results are in! After judging by a selection of Weelond citizens, the winners are... ... in third place: @Roadmonkeytj's Bru-Haha ... in second place: @Professor Thaum's Fest Noz ... and the overall winner is: @Drunknok's Drama over a dress These three entries will receive 50, 100, and 150 DBs respectively. Additionally, winners of the 50DB prizes for best builds in various property categories are: @Drunknok for residential @Roadmonkeytj for artisan @Professor Thaum for commerce @Ross Fisher (confessional booth) for art & culture Thanks to all the participants! DBs will be transferred to your accounts this week. Cheers!
  3. I love the sugar cane, and the press is nicely represented. The general setting really creates the proper atmosphere. We need more of this kind of historical-yet-practical build in BoBS. Well done!
  4. Thanks to everyone who entered! I'll get entry payments out for the later entries soon, and will get judging underway promptly.
  5. Glad to see someone went for the "on a boat" category. It's fun to see characters from far away enjoying Oktoberfest! Will we learn what the green ninja is up to later?
  6. Nice take on an Oktoberfest story! I particularly like the decorative elements to the residence. Also, love what you did with the clock when he was waiting!
  7. Just a quick reminder that there's still time to enter the Oktoberfest mini-challenge.
  8. Neat idea for a plantation, and a cool design. Almost like a vineyard.
  9. Just a reminder that the Oktoberfest deadline is less than a week away. While you wait for your ships to come in from the MRCA, come to Weelond and show everyone how to have a good time!
  10. Just as magnificent the second time around! I love the texture all those 1x1 clips create.
  11. You're ok.
  12. Nice ship! As others have noticed, sleek design and good colors. And a good combo of prefab and brick-built. A proper brig!
  13. Clearly Captain Nordau is a man to be reckoned with. And the reckoning could be fun! I really like the build of just the bow of the ship. Neat way to illustrate events.
  14. Janszen had hoped Captain Arnolfo would be more forthcoming with info about the islands in the area. But surely Arnolfo had his orders, as did Janszen. Information was at a premium, and Carno and Eslandola were both letting little information out. "I'm sorry, but I must get on with my mission," Janszen told the Carnian captain. "I can offer you our carpenter's tools while we are here, but I can't spare the men to help with your ship any longer." Janszen shook his hand and wished him luck. Janszen had already ordered Calvo onto the island. Calvo did some preliminary scouting, then gathered his men in a small clearing and gave each a set of orders. With groups of men exploring specific areas of the island, everything should be covered in a matter of days. And Calvo would be free to investigate anything of interest that they discovered. More pics: --- Meanwhile ... ... the captain of the Colonial Storm ordered Captain Jack Merker to take a closer look at the bridge apparently connecting islands 5 and 6. What Merker discovered is that the ancient bridge was not man-made, but rather a natural phenomenon. It was clear, however, that the natives used it regularly, as vegetation was worn away from the path and stone steps were worked into the incline on either side. A couple of crewmen from the Nightwing rowed Merker and his first mate, Kate, to shore. As Jack and Kate explored the bridge from above... ...the two crewmen braved the rough waters to take a closer look at the rocky underbelly of the bridge. Back on the Colonial Storm, the captain made plans to investigate a small native village they had spotted. But Merker was already hatching a plan to find the treasure of the Itasca...
  15. PM me with the list of ships being overwritten.
  16. Nope. They have to start in the same port.
  17. @Phred needs to add it to the account sheets, too.
  18. Nice build! Good job with the uneven roof and pier tiles, and positioning the pier and campfire at an angle. The rock outcropping in the water is a nice touch. Lots of character throughout the build! I'd lean toward a small property, as a lot of the footprint isn't build up. But it does make for a very nice presentation.
  19. Still, he needs the account for licenses to register and DBs to be assigned. It should appear before the end of the month. But yes, build now, and report/license as soon as the account is up.
  20. 10 DBs for entry and 25 DBs for license reimbursement have been transferred to your account.
  21. It doesn't matter what the settlement needs. I'd say artisan is appropriate for a bar or similar establishment. So go ahead and license as a small artisan.
  22. @Ross Fisher, 10 DBs for entry and 25 DBs for license reimbursement have been transferred to your account. @Professor Thaum, 10 DBs for entry and 120 DBs for purchase of property have been transferred to your account. (I know you said it was free, but Weelond stands behind its offer; feel free to spend it in one place! ) @Roadmonkeytj, let me know if you're going to license the BruHaha property.
  23. Can I lobby for a BoBS card that gives me a bonus whenever transporting pineapples?
  24. Welcome to BoBS @TomSkippy! I love your character intro, from working in the real life source of the minifig pieces into his personal history to the final presentation and nickname. Nice job telling the story with small builds and pics as well! I think you're going to have a lot of fun in BoBS, and I think we're going to have a lot fun as you tell your tales!
  25. @Legostone, could you deal with this?
