The first story in KPA vol 3 issue 4 has links to the port tax specifics at that time. The ports covered there are Kings Port, Westface, Nova Terreli, and all Oleon ports. Additionally, since then, Trador and Mesabi Landing have announced taxes. Trador requires a build for their "development tax", and Mesabi Landing is more of a lottery with good and bad results (although I can't find the details anywhere -- @Mesabi? @Drunknok? can you help?). I think that's all the ports. Once I have links for ML I'll try to find a place to put them for easy reference.

[BTSC] BoBS Tournament Soccer Cup 618

Congrats again to the Red Rogues. Bring on the drinks! We brought the pineapples! And who painted one of the crabs yellow?! Maybe that unhappy Blue Hawks fan on the left? -

Arg! So close. Congrats to the Red Rogues. We'll see you for a rematch in Mesabi Landing next year! Thanks to @dr_spock for a great job running things this year. It was a blast! -
Ah. I believe it all adds together, regardless of which MRCA they are in.
-
The teal/azure color is stunning with the black hull. And I really like the overall profile shape of this ship. This one's a beauty! FYI, I use the same tumblehome method on many of my ships. It makes for a very sturdy build.
-
A ship participating in the Adventure MRCA cannot participate in the Trade MRCA at the same time, if that's what you mean.
-
Ooh! I really like this! The color scheme is subdued but works well. Lovely stern decorations, several good deck details. I'd suggest narrower upper mast sections, but the overall job is still wonderful. Well done!
-
I was wondering if Bru-Haha would make an appearance. Glad they made it! Some really good minifig expressions in the build, and the keg is well done. I especially like the use of the gold tooth piece to hold back the curtain door. Well done, especially the "across the street" scene! And I love "don't drink and horse" from the disclaimer.
-
And I found player accounts with "town bank" DBs, so something is certainly amiss.
-
Not yet. I reviewed all the SR ships with 0 DBs and sent a list of ones that should be checked, with route details and notes on cargo capacity, to Bregir. He may need the weekend to have time to investigate fully.

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II

It can happen elsewhere too... Where does this Zublius Von Wreck hail from about now, I wonder? Now we know the real reason NPC pirate locations are hidden! -

Heck, with or without an Oktoberfest, soccer fans in Mesabi Landing sounds a bit redundant! It would be a wild time! -

Well, in Eslandola, Guy's Uncle strings your sigfig up by its heels. But seriously, there is no specific penalty for a player's account going negative, but there is generally an honor system of not spending money you don't have. Does somebody want to build a MOC of a debtor's prison? NPC pirates like ZVW don't buy new ships if they don't have the funds. (And he'll be in the black again, so to speak, once the MRCA results are added to the accounts.) -

OMG! I had forgotten about how the knockout round games had longer descriptions. I think I had 3 heart attacks reading the results! But Weelond is through to the finals! I'm at a loss for words, so I'll depend on emojis. Whew! Congrats to the Infernos for putting up such a tough fight! And to the Blue Hawks as well. I wish them both luck in the third place game. And the Regimentals and Red Rogues will get a rematch from pool play, where they fought to a draw. No quarter will be given this time! Good luck to both teams. ... Man, if Weelond wins and hosts next year's soccer cup, can you imagine what next year's Okterberfest will be like? -
I'll check it out. Thanks!
-
Cool torso. Is that a decal/sticker or from an official set?

Woo-hoo! Weelond is through to the semi-finals! And it looks like we have one team from each faction advancing. Cool! The game summaries are a fun read. Thanks dr_spock! -
Very fun! I love it! I can feel the festival atmosphere and almost hear the music. I note the professor himself is in attendance. And I'm getting thirsty! Also, Weelond thanks you for the property gift.

The sign-up deadline for the next Adventure MRCA and Trade MRCA is October 23, midnight, anywhere in the world. ---------------- Players can sign up for both the Adventure MRCA and the Trade MRCA, but individual ships can only participate in one or the other, not both simultaneously. To sign-up for the Adventure MRCA, read the rules here and then sign-up via this form. To sign-up for the Trade MRCA, read the rules here and then sign-up via this form. For a ship to take part in either MRCA, it must be licensed. You can license your ship under the new ship rules via this form. If there are any issues (typo, wrong number of points or other issues) with this process, PM @Legostone. Note that the MRCA signup form still doesn’t have raids added yet, so if you’re interested in conducting a raid this month, PM @Capt Wolf. If you’re just going to be trading, you can go ahead and fill out the forms normally. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Consult this map for trade zone numbers before submitting any forms: IMPORTANT: Note that if you click on the above map to go to one you can zoom in on, there is an error on the linked map (zones 10 and 11 are mislabeled). Use the map visible above for proper zone labels. And here are the trade values as of September 30, 618. Capt Wolf replied to dr_spock's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
You have the advantage that you can play for a draw, but winner takes all. Green-on-green is still possible, too. Go Cargo! -
The Golden Dragon squadron is correct since they sailed a patrol beginning and ending in Bastion. And the Odin's Scorn fleet went to an island with a trade value of 0. But that still leaves several ships that should have earned DBs. I'll consult with Bregir and figure it out. P.S. Note that the HMS Pendragon couldn't have sailed with the Lenore fleet since it started at a different port (it was diverted last MRCA), but I doubt that caused the calculation error.
-
Dark and Deep was captured. In the "Lost at Sea" list it should be replaced with Harpie. Also, Dreamchaser (Kwatchi's ship sunk in the Mardier trade fleet encounter) should appear in the "Lost at Sea" list.

Gah! Even with the draw against the Red Rogues, the Regimentals are playing like they can't find their uniforms. Maybe that calendar wasn't such a good idea ... -
That has come up before in a previous MRCA. Apparently there were problems licensing it, and I don't think they were ever resolved:
-
Typically the 0 DB earners are warships with no cargo capacity. Ships that begin and end their run at the same port also earn 0 DBs.
