  1. "Har-har!" laughed Guilder. "That would be so like him. I pray that Sol and Luna make it so!"
  2. Aaron van der Meede and Pieter Reyngout walked into the hall together, already in conversation. With their arrival, the full Sea of Storms delegation was in attendance. Guilder walked down and met them at the delegation's tables and engaged in quiet discussion before he return to his desk at the front of the hall. "I see most of the delegations are here now," Guilder said to the assembled representatives. "Viscount, welcome back. I trust Commodore Grei and Lady Cantoni will be along soon," he said, addressing the Independents delegation. Turning to the tables for the Prio Seas representatives, Guilder greeted Chief Apulo and The Doctor Ayuda. "Chief, doctor, good to see both of you as well. Sorry to hear Lady Condora is delayed." Next he turned to the lone attendant from the Sea of Thieves. "Councilor Hadelson, so sorry to hear you have the gout, but you have certainly represented well those of us who depend on walking sticks!" Guilder waved his own cane in the air with a hearty "Har-har!" "Until your compatriots arrive, feel to free to rest your leg on one of their chairs!" Addressing the MCTC delegation with a concerned look, he asked "Is there any word on Commodore Argentum? I was quite dismayed when I heard of his disappearance at sea." Guilder silently nodded at his Sea of Storms delegation, not feeling any need to add a public greeting after his early conversation. "We have enough representatives here to begin the business at hand, but does anyone know the whereabouts of the ETWC ( @Garmadon ) and MAESTRO delegations? I believe Agent Guelds and his fellow ETWC delegates are around, but Monezterrell ( @Legostone ) and his fellow MAESTRO members have not been heard from in some time. Does anyone know if MAESTRO intends to send new delegates to the council?" ( @Maxim I ) "And I had hoped to see some public interest in our reconvening, but I see no one in the public gallery yet..."
  3. My problem is we're preparing to move, so way too much of my Lego is currently packed away! Ditto! There's some cool stuff getting posted, but I haven't had time to comment on much of it. We've got some neat builds out there!
  4. Eslandola's Colonial Council is back in session! Council members and all Eslandian citizens are urged to assemble in the council hall to discuss important matters of the state.
  5. Eslandola’s Colonial Council is where business of state is conducted in public, unless national security merits private deliberations. Eslandola’s Admius Legistrad, the leader of the Colonial Council, is Willem Guilder, Eslandola Secretary of Trade, Governor of An Holli, and Director of the MCTC; The delegations representing the colonial regions and the trade companies are made up of three representatives each. The East Trade-Wind Company is represented by @Garmadon : Agent Gilles Guelds Lieutenant Horatio Hillsboroughbergmachier, retired of the ETWC Elites Willoughby The Merchant’s Colonial Trading Company is represented by @Kai NRG : Captain Edward Argentum Esterhazy de Troir Chef Jalape The MAESTRO Trade Company is represented by @Legostone: Jerome Monezterrell, Eslandola Secretary of the Navy, Governor of Isla de Victoria, and Mayor of Fuerto Unido; Captain Lamar Evercrees of the Santiago; and Farrucio Paraja, naval architect extraordinaire The Independent traders of Eslandola are represented by @gedren_y: Commodore Hammish Grei Lady Valentia Cantoni Viscount Alexander Doblin The Sea of Storms Region (An Toli, An Holli) is represented by @Capt Wolf: Willem Guilder, Eslandola Secretary of Trade, Governor of An Holli, and Director of the MCTC; Aaron van der Meede, attorney and chairman of the Weelond town council; and Pieter Reyngout, tavern owner and Weelong town council member. The Sea of Thieves Region (Nelissa, Berreli, Ferro Azure, Torrach Bonn, Isla Philippe) is represented by @Umbra-Manis: Revon de Crocodil, mayor of Salida Este Captain Reginald Haddock, retired pirate hunter Councilor Hadelson, jewel merchant The Prio Seas Region (Isla de la Victoria, Otoño, La Sombra) is represented by @Faladrin: Lady Condora, officer of the MAESTRO Green Messenger Agency Chief Apulo, of the Mehuãtajir people, and mayor of Mehit Doctor Ayuda of Fuerte Unido The Colonial Council of Eslandola is in session. -------------------- Willem Guilder returned to the council hall for the first time in months. The council secretary had sent word to all council members that there was business at hand, and members were slowly returning. Two letters had arrived that warranted the action of the council: - The first letter had been forwarded by Eslandola's ambassador to Terraversa, and came from none other than Don Isaac Montoya, Consul of Corrington. In the letter, Montoya states that Corrington has uncovered evidence of a foreign power funding and arming rebels fighting against Terraversan independence, and he seeks Eslandola's help to ensure Terraversa does not fall into enemy hands and cut off the colonies from the continent. - In the second letter, again from Consul Montoya, in response to Felipe de la Manzana's inquiry about the return of Eslandian ships captured from the pirate LeColeon, Corrington seeks Eslandian assurances of increased anti-piracy efforts in the Brick Seas. Guilder sat at his desk and re-read the contents of the letters as he waited for the council members to return to the hall.
  6. I agree that that would be nice, but it's not necessary by the rules. Plenty of players have built ships only to sell them to others to license. this can happen... Is this possible by the way according to the rules? Yes, there's nothing that prohibits a player from posting an MOC in the BoBS forum and the MOC forum. What is prohibited is going back and posting something you built and posted 6 months ago in another forum and now using it for BoBS. Captain Braunsfeld isn't typically very active in the EGS part of BoBS, so he wasn't aware that he could post his ship in both forums to take advantage of the EGS rules. Some players like to post in both because posts in the MOC forum are generally seen by more people than the BoBS forum, and the build isn't necessarily specific to BoBS (like an A-MRCA build or an MRCA result build).
  7. Er, the ship is the MOC. But if you're referring to him posting this in both the BoBS and MOC forums within a week of each other, that's kosher. Dredging up old builds posted in other forums would not, but in this case the postings are contemporaneous.
  8. Glad to do business with you, Captain!
  9. Yes, I love this new emoji! Ok, so what would I have to do? Just post the ship and you pay me something? Yep. Basically, if you post your ship builds in the BoBS forum, then they're eligible to be licensed in the game. Some of the prolific ship builders often sell new ships to other BoBS players for DBs in the EGS. Or you could negotiate some other IC consideration. Whatever you want.
  10. Love it! I'm planning on doing a very similar mod of the Barracuda, but yours will be tough to top. I like the color changes. Well done!
  11. I'm certain I'd remember such a lovely ship if you had posted it before. She has nice lines, nice styling, a high stern. And I like its looks without sails. All in all one of my favorite ships of yours. And if you were to post this in the BoBS forum, the faction would be happy to license it for naval duty for whatever IC fee you deem appropriate.
  12. After the Long Beard III sank in a storm last month, the shipyard got to work to ready her sistership. The first mate checks in with the gun crews to make sure everything is ready to sail. Just a quick build for sistershipping, but that Roman numeral is getting big, as we're up to the Long Beard IV now!
  13. Nice text and build. I really like that brick-built eagle (or whatever bird it is). Very cool! Please specify how many troops are being raised with this build.
  14. You're welcome! Thanks. We've got people working on it, just not making any tangible progress yet.
  15. There are links to the account sheets in the Master Index thread. That said, the last accurate account is from Sept-Oct of last year. We haven't been able to run an accurate update since then. The Oct 2019 - Feb 2020 update has too many errors to make anything in it usable. So, unfortunately, there is currently no place anyone can see their current DB amount.
  16. I know this is a bit late, but the KPA editors just found some dropped lines of type on the shop floor. While mentioned in the write-up, the following captured ships should have also been listed in the summary at the end of the issue: MOC'd The Lady Hawk (class 3) taken from LeColeon by Corrington Lady of Madrice II (class 3) taken from LeColeon by Corrington The Raenette (class 2) taken from LeColeon by Corrington Un-MOC'd Silent Shadow (class 3) taken from LeColeon by Corrington
  17. Nice little vig. I really like that the stairs are behind the wall, and the SNOT tiles for the paneling. Nice gun rack, too. The base makes me wonder if there is an Eslandola connection, though.
  18. Nice little scene, with good detail for the space, and cleanly presented. Good variety of plants/leaves and use of different greens. The minifigs look interesting, but their details are hard to see. I'd love to see some more pics from a different angle or close-ups of the minifigs, and a little more in the story about how Miguel came to be on El Oleon. I feel like the story has only been teased, but there is more background info that leads us to this scene. (FYI, as far as the challenge is concerned, you are allowed to add more pics or text up until the category deadline.)
  19. I think it's a great way to work on presentation techniques while still telling a story with Lego. You can only work with what you've got, so great job. Great background and posing!
  20. Yes, we need to pin this thread and un-pin the old ones. It requires special forum privileges that Bregir and I are working on getting. Phred used to be our designated "pinner".
  21. The northern coast of the old country on the continent? According to the "Geography" section on page 1 of this thread, this coast only has small ports and coastal towns and appears to be a bit rocky. The architecture from the southern coast would still be appropriate, just keeping in mind that it wouldn't get too large. And nobody is ever going to complain if you use the classic white walls and red roof styling seen in the Nova Terreli example or reminiscent of some of the Classic Pirate sets. While there are various real world inspirations for different parts of Eslandola, you're pretty safe with Spain and Portugal as models in this case.
  22. The sign-up deadline for the next Trade MRCA is May 26, midnight, anywhere in the world. ---------------- To sign-up for the Trade MRCA, read the rules here and then sign-up via this form. For a ship to take part in the MRCA, it must be licensed. You can license your ship under the new ship rules via this form. If there are any issues (typo, wrong number of points or other issues) with this process, PM @Bregir. Note that the MRCA signup form still doesn’t have raids added yet, so if you’re interested in conducting a raid this turn, PM @Capt Wolf. If you’re just going to be trading, you can go ahead and fill out the forms normally. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT NEW MAP ZONE INFORMATION: - Note that zone 34 connects to zone 36 - Explorers confirm that the open sea south of zone 35 is navigable. As such, a new zone (zone 62) is available for travel in the MRCA. The new zone 62 connects to zones 33, 35, 37, and 38. Cartographers are working to get the maps updated as soon as possible. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In addition to the new information above, consult the following two maps for trade zone numbers before submitting any forms. First, the one you're all familiar with: IMPORTANT: Note that if you click on the above map to go to one you can zoom in on, there is an error on the linked map (zones 10 and 11 are mislabeled). Use the map visible above for proper zone labels. Second, the New Haven Sea now has several settlements -- Carno's Neustadt in zone 38, Eslandola's Chiquita in zone 36 and Interlagos in zone 41, and Corrington's Spudkirk in zone 43 and Proxyville in zone 49, as well secret Carno and Lotus settlements on the island of El Oleonda -- so this map is now open for the trade MRCA: But beware! Carno and the Lotus Kingdom are engaged in hostilities in the south. Dangers abound. Watch out for Lotus naval patrols! NOTE REGARDING CHALLENGE III, Cat. D: If you are participating in the t-MRCA part of Category D in Challenge III, The Battle for El Oleonda, make sure to send your privateer ship(s) through zones that you think would likely have Lotus or Carno ships. If the ships you want to use are currently too far away to reach the New Haven Sea by normal means, PM @Capt Wolf and you can move their starting point to facilitate getting into some action right away on the high seas for Cat D. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And here are the trade values as of October 18, 619 (trade values for NPC and Old World ports are as of February 14, 619, and the very new settlements haven't had their trade values updated yet). When filling out your MRCA form, please make sure you spell the ports exactly as they appear below. 23. Just making sure people have noticed that the deadline for Cat D in the challenge has been moved to June 28 so we can squeeze in another MRCA. Cat E deadline is still May 31. FYI.
  24. Two words: Sea Ninjas!
