LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
Fabulandlover replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Got really friendly help at the Leicester Store in London, when I was there 1,5 ago. I asked a member of staff if he wanted to assist me in finding the three minifigs I wanted, and he did. Found them in 15 minutes. There where a lot of the Highway-men in one bowl. Overall a very pleasant experience in the shop and very friendly staff. Got three minifigures from the Build-a-Minifigure station, the hunting Easter eggs vignette and the Buckingham Palace architecture set. I really love the vet and the chef . The French guy is cute. Oh, and the dog and the bunny So, yeah. Happy with this series!- 1,421 replies

Will they continue the large landmarks series (Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Tower Bridge, Big Ben)? If so, wil they at one point consider doing a castle? Buckingham Palace, Versailles or Neuschwannstein Castle?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
Fabulandlover replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you all, for answering! I will ask staff to help me find the chef and the vetinarian. The Frenchman I will manage I think, thanks to the baguette ;) . I don´t mind getting in the queue, and we will be going on a weekday. I wonder if my mother can resist the Build a Minifig-section, hahaha!. At first she thought it odd that I bought a few modulars, but the Parisian Restaurant impressed her. She even wanted to put the minifigs together! Last week she hinted it was time I got ´another big box with lots of minifigs´ so she could help. She jokingly said she missed it :)- 1,421 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion

Would the vetinerian, the chef and the French guy with his dog easy to feel? In 1,5 week I will be able to visit the London Lego store, so would I like to buy some CMF's. Would it be weird to ask staff in helping feeling/recognising what is in the bags?- 1,421 replies

I bought it last Friday, and Sunday I started on bags 6. Love the build and it is huge; Really pretty! I am in love with the ballerina, the guitar and the piano. So far I mis two pieces: - A cookie title (two of these are needed at the display piece behind the window in the bakery), missing from bag 2 : https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=98138pb037&idColor=2 - A white arch, need with the windows of the ballet studio. Missing from bag 5 https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3659&idColor=1 Had this white slope extra after bag 5 https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3676&idColor=1#T=C&C=1

From a list at Brickset: 10730 Confidential 10731 Confidential 10732 Confidential 10733 Confidential 10742 Confidential 10743 Confidential 10744 Confidential New modular? Big architecture-like set like Tower Bridge/Big Ben?

Excited for the bus station and the Fun at the beach set! I do hope the bus station contains a bus and a driver, not only a bus stop with a ticket machine and waiting area/seats. The business lady from the Fun at the Park set and the included bus stop-sign can get finally on the bus then . For the Fun at the beach set: since the fun in the park set contained little scenes (a picknick-scene, football-scene, a scene with an attraction for children, a hot dog-cart,..) I expect to see little scenes in this set as well. One or two kids building a sandcastle, someone sunbathing (perhaps with a bottle of sunscreen and an umbrella?), a rescuer/guard, indeed an ice cream cart,..) If it could indeed be in Paradisa-style, it would be great!

So, what is exactly new after I got the Grand Emporium? Pet Shop: Finally a house for the minifigures to live . Enjoyable build. I know how to build a sofa and a bed now! The Parisian restaurant: I loved the colours and the details of the build. One of my favourites! I only seemed to have left over quite some spare parts. Is that normal? I will make a picture later. And I finally have a cook! When I was young one of my friends had Paradisa, and she had a set that included a waiter with a moustashe and a cook. When I was at her place, I always wanted to play with the cook and the waiter. Loved those! And now I have a cook myself . Nice tidbit; when I bought the Grand Emporium, my mother didn't quite approve. She must have thought I was going mad . So, when I bought the Pet Shop I didn't show it and she didn't know. However, with the Parisian restaurant, she knew because I ordered at S&H and it was delivered home. This time she was very interested, even excited! Probably it helped that the free snowglobe was included and she thought the Santa minifigure was cute. End of story: she asked if she could build the Santa minifigure and the minifigures of the Parisian Restaurant. Afte that she helped sorting and finding pieces. And she was in awe the whole time during the build. "Oh, look: there is a crossaint, turkey and grapes!" "Oh my gosh, it is refrigerator. Genius!" When the pencil pot came in and the vignettes her first question was: Can I build the minifigures? . It made the building experience that much nicer. Pencil Pot The vignettes: Santa Husky Minifigures before I got back into Lego; After buying three modulars, three vignettes, Fun in the Park, two CMF's and Pencil Pet (the Santa from the Snowglobe is still by the Christmas tree)

Perhaps that new educational theme is meant, Boost?

Nice review and lovely set! I hope to get my hands on it one day, I managed to get Thanksgiving Dinner, Santa's Visit and Winter fun from the same series, and i love those vignettes

Nice find! And I spy some Fabuland if I am not mistaken ;)

Some things have changed a little in my city :) Someone is building his first house A square! A park Of course some things will never change. There is someone still waiting for the bus, I see

I vote for the Parisian Restaurant, got it a few weeks ago and I loved building it. And after finishing it, it looks so pretty! It is my third modular, after the Grand Emporium and Pet Shop. No plans to buy the cinema, detective office or bank. Assembly square will (probably) be the next one.

Lego Modular City Square with all modulars!!!
Fabulandlover replied to LegoSjaak's topic in LEGO Town
Now that I have the Parisian restaurant and my old Lego cleaned, I am going to make a nice square/park myself. Getting some inspiration here :) -
Last week I got the Parisian Restaurant and small house that doubles as a pencil pot. Will post reviews with everyone´s favourite reporter soon :)

I spy a racing car that I have as well! Lego set 6613 if I am not mistaken :)

Thank you! Yeah, the citizens are a pretty lively bunch :D ;) I hava a palm tree from a Belville set and an apple tree from a Fabuland set I could use. Hm,... back to the drawing board :D Thank you! They are from a Fabuland-set, but they work with minifigures as well. Gotta keep the kids in town happy and busy ;)

Another Dutchie who loves modulars! Welcome :D !

With the two modulars that I have, older Lego-sets and parts and the new Fun in the Park-set I created a scenery of my own. Here are pictures of my humble attempt to be creative with what I have. Perhaps a small house or a kiosk or something will be added. But for now this is the result. Feedback welcome :)

Today I bought set 10702, to get bricks in the non-standard Lego colours and a door and two windows. I am currently trying to create something myself, a small snackbar with a few tables outside, surrounded with some greenery and a playgarden. Or perhaps something more city square like, so I can place my modulars around it (at the end of the month I can buy the Parisian restaurant!). In the set there are also wheels included, so perhaps I am going to try my hand at building a car or bus (I have to admit I have no idea how!).

Was this set also revealed at the Toy Fair? I'm soooooo curious!
-
Is there more news about this set? I am hoping for a picture! If it is a set like the Tower Bridge (which is quite cool and on my to-buy list), the Taj Mahal and the Opera House, we are in for a treat!

Really? OMG, OMG! What would be the estimated size/piece count?
