  1. That looks very cool for your first train MOC. How long did you spend getting the parts and building it?
  2. Adorable little models! I like the Pixar lamp, Remy and Dory the most. Thought about creating the full set of 24?
  3. What a beast! Fantastic job on including so many features. If you get the wheels turning, this looks perfect to be motorised too!
  4. Anybody pick up some good deals from the Boxing Day sales? I heard DJs has 20% off LEGO and Myer is doing B1G1 50% off toys
  5. Christmas Greetings! Hope you enjoyed receiving and giving presents this year. Merry Christmas by brickmodified, on Flickr Thanks to Firas Abu-Jaber for the tree design. Custom Christmas baubles are from Citizen Brick Now that all the presents have been delivered, Santa deserves a holiday! Santa's holiday by brickmodified, on Flickr
  6. For a ordinary apartment building, it sure is nice to look at. I don't suppose it is modular? I also like the techniques for the blinds and the balcony glass, as well as the space heater (NPU!), stove and washing machine.
  7. Great technique KlodsBrik! The Star looks like the Death Star :)
  8. Great job! Nice use of horns/teeth for his beard! Looks like he could use a sack full of toys to carry :)
  9. Cheers LucyCol. Sounds like it will be quite the opening event! Thanks for your comment Wodanis.

Also: 75827 GBHQ $475 Starts Oct 27 - Nov 9. Also spotted the Dimensions stuff on sale: Starter Packs, Story Packs, Fun Packs, Level Packs and Team Packs Has anyone bought the Dimensions packs just to get the parts? Do you think it's worth it? I was interested in the Joker/Harley pack and Back to the Future, but it seems pricey for just the parts. I don't even have a console to play it on!
  11. Myer: Buy one toy, get the 2nd 40% off, ends tomorrow, 23 Oct. Excludes minifigs and the Porsche. Sorry, didn't see this until today. Edit: Offer apparently started on Wednesday
  12. Thanks Venunder. Yes, I heard that about Leicester Square too, I wonder when it'll be open?
  13. I don't understand your question, please state it another way. What is png?
  14. Have you asked the OZLUG group on Facebook? There are many Australian AFOLs there and someone may have a catalog from that time. If you're on Facebook, I'd suggest doing that. Also trying searching on Brickshelf.com - it looks like there are many pictures of catalogs, though I'm not sure how to tell which ones are from what country.
  15. Thanks paul_delahaye. What happened to that Birmingham store? I see from the LEGO website that there are stores in Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Manchester and Sheffield, maybe my friend will be heading to those areas. Sorry to hear that the selection of bricks has gone down. I'd have thought having unique selections is cool. Reminds me of the PAB wall at Legoland Denmark I visited a few years ago - not very impressive, just standard bricks in basic colours.
  16. Thanks Robianco. My friend is heading to attend Bricklive in Birmingham. He is probably going to visit the surrounding areas too.
  17. Hi, I have a friend from my LUG going over to the UK this week and I'd like him to get a few things from the LEGO stores there, especially things I can't get here in Australia. Can anyone tell me how much a cup full of parts from Pick-a-Brick (or Pick-a-Model) wall is? How many cups sizes are there? Are there polybags available? Do they have build-a-minifig in the store? How much are they? Anything else you'd recommend getting? Thanks.
  18. My excuse is that I can't go to the toy sections in stores, since I can't resist buying something I have no more space at home, and will need to have a big cleanup before I can buy again! Must be time for a bigger home... Plus, BrickingAround is pretty good in reporting sales info
  19. David Jones: 20% off all LEGO until Oct 3 Seen in-store and reported on BrickingAround
  20. Welcome SeaGrunter! Great to hear you had childhood Lego to go through - a nice walk down memory lane! You'll find plenty of gamers and movie fans in the Culture and Multimedia forums :) Now's definitely a good time for Star Wars fans!
  21. Hi there Eurobrickers, I'd like your opinion on a MOC I'm building - snowboarders hitting the slopes! This is what I have so far: My intention is for a scale like a vignette or minifig habitat, so not big. I took a simple idea of using white 1x2 plates and 1x1 rounds and just started building. Now I'm wondering how I can provide a base for it. Maybe a brick built base, like a cross section of the slope. Or a smaller base at the bottom, so that the top looks like it is suspended mid-air. I’ll be experimenting with the two ideas. I'd like to depict a move like a snowboarder carving (something I just did a web search for). Any snowboarders out there, or people who know the terminology? I’m curious what thoughts you have on this: feedback, improvements, added detail, etc. Thanks!
  22. Hi Rich, welcome! Just looked up Scarlett and I can see why you're a fan! Be sure to share what comics you're reading in the Culture and Media forum!
  23. Hi Kitty from Mars! Did you pat yourself on the back and do fist pumps to celebrate your Eurobricks membership? ;)
  24. Awesome and simple - a rare combination! Looks great for a microscale city - I'd like to use your build techniques! Also, I saw your build recently blogged on Brothers Brick - congratulations!
  25. I like your builds and videos! The builds are compact with good detail and your videos look instructional!
