Great tower! That's a pretty awesome way to get across the river! My only complaint is that the plain baseplate water looks pretty boring compared to the rest of the build.

[WZ18:E2, Desert King] The Second Attempt
LordDan replied to Jacob Nion's topic in Guilds of Historica
Fantastic work! The texturing on the tower is great, and I love the fact that the cannon works, and even better it actually blasts the wall down! I also really like how you described how the bombard works, making it sound mysterious and fitting for medieval times -

Counter to Garmadon's GA http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=110472&st=0#entry2237090

As the Ulandian forces hiked up the narrow path on the cliff side they discovered that the reason no Desert soldier were guarding this area. These cliffs were the nesting grounds of some very agressive and territorial dragons! The Ulandians fancy shiny armor attracted one of these dragons attention, which then proceeded to blast the Ulandians, while all this noise woke up another dragon in one of the caves in the cliffs, and this irritated dragon slammed against the cave walls, inadvertently setting off a rock slide. The Ulandians were trapped on the narrow cliff and had nowhere to go, and those who were not blasted by the dragon or crushed by the falling rocks were knocked off of the cliffs into the deadly sea far below. This is a counter to Garmadon's GA EDIT: UoP DoH I would like to claim waves and microscale

You finally finished it! Fantastic work, I can only imagine how frustrating building a mosaic like this would be. My only slight nitpick is that in the drawing the guy is smiling, but in the build it looks like he is scowling, which makes it seem less lighthearted.I also really like how you put you initials in mirrior writing. Once again great work! :)

VOTING THREAD Warzone 18: The Battle for Eastgate
LordDan replied to MassEditor's topic in Guilds of Historica
Could you add mine too http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=110159&st=0#entry2231147 -
Thanks guys! I couldn't decide when I was building it, since a mast would have blocked access from the front of the ship to the back but I feel like there are not enough oars to paddle it by itself. I think I will revisit this since I finished it in a hurry and want to improve a lot of things and I will probably add a mast.

There is nothing at all that I can say that will do justice to this fantastic build, so I'm not even going to try. Except to say that my mind had been utterly blown :) Also I looked it up on google and found the news article http://www.thv11.com/story/life/2015/05/30/legos-at-cals-con/28237105/

After their first attempt at seperating from the High Council failed the fire Mages realized that the High Council was not just going to let them walk away. Many of their more headstrong members joined the Desert King's forces anyway, although the main order claimed that those were only the feelings of a handful of its members. But they had only been pretending to no longer be involved in the war. They had prepared better this time, and as soon as the signal beacon was lit in one of the above ground towers all the fire Mages would know to take action and remove all high council troops from the area, with lethal force if they did not leave peacefully.

Untitled by lorddan413, on Flickr Untitled by lorddan413, on Flickr Placeholder pics by lorddan413, on Flickr The Desert King Forces head for the walls of Eastgate on ships, ready to take on anything the High Council can throw at them. The ship is commanded by the Desert Kings sorcerer, who has brought along some other powerful Mages. Their mission is to engage Petrea and occupy his attentionso that he cannot wreak havoc on the DK forces. They know they have little chance of actually defeating Petrea, who is one of the most powerful Magic users in all of historica, but all they need to do Is keep him busy until the city falls.

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
LordDan replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Atrocious Rex was DC's sigfig, and he is no longer our current leader, although he is active from time to time. Our current leaders are de Gothia and Simon S. ( Although Simon is not active right now because he is serving time in the military) . RougeAngle is our guild leader or something like that and actually runs the guild( Im actually not positive on all of this). We are not at war with any of the guilds, although some of our lords are involved in the different sides of the Kaliphlin civil war and I believe we are hostile towards the Black Spire, which rule a large portion of Nocturnus. We do not have any alliances between guilds, although individual lords of all the guild often have alliances with other lords in different guilds. You should try to do most of the tasks but they are all optional. If you want to claim territory use the current map and use a picture editor to draw your territory on it and post it here, eventuallly RA will add it to the main map. also if you want to learn more about Avalonia I would recommend skimming through this topic. The first page especially contains a lot of information, although there has been a lot of new developments since then -
Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
LordDan replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
I'm not sure about the pictures( Are you using something like Flickr or brickshelf?). You are allowed to post as many freebuilds as you want, although quality over quantity is important( so basically it's better to post one detailed MOC than 6 builds that are just figs on a plate) Also, welcome to the great guild of Avalonia!! -
Wow this is a pretty dark subject matter. The scene itself is great, the tree looks very nice and I really like how you made the fields of crops.

[G,O18,DK v U] No One Escapes the Desert King
LordDan replied to LordDan's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks everyone! I changed the description so it now takes place at M18 instead of O18. This kind of messes up the story, since Xersia is a major part of the build and M18 is no where near Xersia- 12 replies
