Ah, yeah...I don’t pay attention to S@H descriptions, perhaps you have a point there then. Weird. I’d say this set is to attract HP fans. HP does a great job, as it is/was, at attracting both genders that I don’t think they need to lean one way or the other. I know the color was intentional, it’s a pink building in the non LEGO model. I mean, if the books/movies can draw in a 20-something(at the time I started) I’d say they can get anyone.
-
Huh? Those buildings’ colors are accurate to the source, not to entice more girls to buy. That set isn’t “ice cram & love potions.” It’s mostly revolves around a book signing encounter, hence the majority of the minifigs being from that scene. And the love potions are just one product of an entire joke shop.

The big problem with your wants...is price. We’d all love to see the trio get the casual clothes under the capes. Or more detailed interiors instead of a spiderweb or more products. But all of that would drive up the cost of an already very expensive set.
-
That’s disappointing. Surely B&N isn’t only getting Hedwig...that wouldn’t ale any sense. Guess find out next week. Gift With Purchase.
-
Inquiring again, as it may have been lost in the DA talk...has anyone in the States asked about release dates for B&N? I checked today & the only thing they have in their system is the Hedwig set. Either way I’m still heading there on the first. I have a $25 gift card that I plan to put to good use on the Forbidden Forest set.

Hey, if living in a closet is good enough for Harry, it’s good enough for us AFOLs.
-
You could always wait for DA of course. Chances are it’ll be around for two years(or more). Or just skip it & still get the others. It’s definitely hard to justify that price tag, even if you are a die hard HP fan.

I wasn’t sure if that was just the render or if it’s the minifig. Can’t tell from the box leak... I feel the same way. It’s a bit of a bummer to not get many actual books in a book store(also looking at you Modular Bookshop). But they couldn’t make that stack of books in F&B without being brick built, so I get that. I would’ve liked a handful of wand boxes though.

Looking at it again, The black 1x2 over the arch is for the crooked window & the one at the top looks to be for that little section of black roof seen. So the bottom one is the only usable one for connections.

He isn’t. New face print and, for whatever reason, the scarf/tie is reversed.
-
Damn! Only 4 sets?! I already feel bad for the fifth pesos who has been waiting for two hours for the store to open...
-
Well shoot...I went by B&N hoping they had them. Nothing. So I asked. Nothing is in their system except the Hedwig set. I assume they’re releasing everywhere on the first... Now I’m even more excited for the set, seeing those better images. Not sure what’s up with all the griping about the reveal though. We aren’t even supposed to know about this set... Yes, the CMF was weird, but I highly doubt that Store was supposed to put them out that early. And despite some people finding them early, plenty of others didn’t, myself included. TLG has a plan, and the general population very likely has no idea that DA is coming, because they don’t follow like we do.

Those 8 figures do matter...as this set is mostly based around those figures, sans WWW. All of those figures you listed have screen time(while Fortesque has a brief glimpse), so they make sense as well. Random shoppers are easy enough to make. Buy some LotR/Hobbit torsos & capes. Two sets down for me...ordered AT & PD. I’m weirdly feeling okay with this odd release schedule from S@H. By the time these two sets get to me, I’ll have ordered The Burrow & DA. So I can at least spend a few of those days not constantly looking out of the window every time a FedEx truck drives by.

That was fun. I gotta winder...with so many superheroes, why so much trouble? Are they feeling a bit lazy these days...

That’s a fantastic looking fence. Great use of that axle piece, very creative. -

I was really surprised to only see that one set. Couple that with not being available in normal retailers & the prices...seems like quite the disservice to this great theme. It’s weird. -
I do remember the UCS Slave 1 releasing the same day as Detective’s Office, so they have released big ticket sets on the same day. But I don’t remember them doing so in more recent years. And I saw a picture with the silhouette of the set that said spring 2021.

I just want a few extra of some accessories. Since a friend & I are splitting a box(with me just buying a set) I’ll just get the extras that way. I’m not much into making custom minifigs(outside of the BaM towers), but that’s mostly because I shy away from it because I know I’d likely go overboard with students & I’d rather spend that money on sets.

Ninjago reimagined in Western Setting

These are so cool. Very creative & a fun idea. They all look great. Borg’s chair is well done. -
Looks great. Gotta make due with what we have. I like it.

As fun as building that screen was, it was equal parts annoying. 136 dark orange 1x1’s.... I agree on the TV to console plugs. I have an idea on how to do the AC cord, but I would love to get more of the cord used in this set for it.

Very design. I really like that front engine shot, it gives a menacing vibe that the Batmobile should have. The shaping is cool too. Different enough, but still definitely Batmobile.
-
Great color palette. And equally great use of the Patronus pieces. Definitely gives the right feel.

This is my plan as well. I was doing good saving money, but then I broke down & bought the NES day one. But it’ll be easier to save up for the other sets & grab DA day one than it will be the opposite. Welcome to waiting for the Modular every January 1st for the last many years.
