LEGO Ideas Discussion

Man, I wish they would re-release The Maze set. That was one I wanted but missed out on. I can see Ship in a Bottle being a in demand set, I know I love it. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 21. Rumors and discussion
Vindicare replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It was released in the Batman CMF series 1. Then it was printed with blonde hair as an exclusive in the BaM towers. Just like the Fire Fighter hair, which I imagine will also be seen in the Tower. I don’t believe the police piece has been used in City sets, not in recent years that I saw at least. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 21. Rumors and discussion
Vindicare replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I just don’t see the appeal of the Fire Fighter. I guess it’s the hat/hair combo...but the subject matter is horrible. We get plenty of fire fighter every few years in City. Sure, we could get a Dog Sitter in City. Could. We are guaranteed to get fire fighters. I’m not even a huge fan of drones, but I still bought him for the accessory because it’s something out of the box, from a City standpoint. Some decisions made by the company certainly baffle us, but even we differ greatly on greatest potential...so even that would be hard to gauge. This goes with what I said above, the subjective nature of this theme. I like the Drone Guy...but if Walmart didn’t sell them at $3.84, I wouldn’t have bought him...or quite a few others that I did. The Diver, I’m with you. It’s just another generic minifig in a wetsuit...but with a fantastic accessory. But not worth $5 to me. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 21. Rumors and discussion

As others have said...the worry is if the wanted minifigs get scrapped instead. With the last few series’ I’ve been getting about half of them, so that leaves a lot of spots. Then they cut four minifigs, that’s potentially a lot less to buy. I think that depends on the minifig, which is of course subjective. Like the Dog Sitter was a good deal, getting two dogs. And the Mountain Biker. But largely I agree, $5 is a lot for one minifig. Especially when compared to the BaM towers. I can buy three minifgs for $10, including animals & some great exclusive prints. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Vindicare replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Some official hints would be nice. The only real hint I want is price. Sure, it’s easy to get in the ballpark, but knowing how much to save up would be nice. Like they did with the WV Fire Station when it was upcoming. Oddly, they haven’t done that since. I definitely want to put DA somewhere, just have no idea where... Being short on room & not wanting to remove stuff in favor of it is tough. I don’t plan on closing the backs up, even though it will look strange among the Modulars. I’m not going to put them side by side the Modulars as regular buildings, they’re going to be “hidden” as they are in the books/movies. -
Haha, there we go. Give it a backstory. Another way to look at it...we have a fairly unique set. If only the sticker sheet was unused...
-
Well, that’s one. Maybe it’s an NA thing then. Since it seems to not be a particular batch, as myself & Chris have different tale numbers. Weird.
-
Hmm..interesting. So ours came from different batches. I looked around a bit more, didn’t see any stickers with the white, or the mention of it(in case they edited it out for the pictures). I guess we just got lucky.
-
Mine came from Romeoville IL. I just happen to still have my box, the tape has 26R0 on it...in case you have yours. I checked a few on Instagram just now, no sticker problem. Don’t know locations though.
-
I’m only somewhat insane with my sticker putting. Of course I try to get them 100% straight, but if it’s a tiny but wonky, I don’t mind...much. Interestingly, I looked at Oky’s & Brickset’s reviews of the set & neither have the white stripe. Off to look at others on social media now...
-
Same. I didn’t bother messing with it though, your fix is a good idea.
-
I say this as someone who doesn’t MOC(or really MOD)...but the Gingerbread House is way enough to turn into a regular house. Even just taking away the candy bits from the exterior would go a long way.

Has the LEGO group released too much 18+ sets this year?
Vindicare replied to JintaiZ's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You should definitely watch it. In my totally not bias opinion..........you’re missing out. -

Vindicare replied to JintaiZ's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That’s from the first LEGO Movie where he’s explaining his “toys” to his kid. He says they aren’t toys(not the way he uses them) despite buying them at the toy store. Kid counters by saying it has age XX on the box, to which AFOL dad responds “that’s just a suggestion, they have to put that on there.” It’s completely related to the movie. It practically is the movie. -
Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
Vindicare replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I do as well. I like them overall, but the plates is what bothers me. As it is, I would need 144 16x16 plates to replace all the base plates in my city, be that regular & street(68 street). That’s a lot of money that would be “wasted” on something that didn’t need to be changed. I looked at the last few years of the Creator 3-in-1 sets. The last two years have a line of dark grey 1x tiles, just like the edges of these new road plates. So I imagine they had those in mind when they created these. And the smaller street width makes sense with the smaller buildings. -
Oh yeah, you’re set. Just put them in between Modulars to hide the half buildings. From the front it’ll just look like another Modular. Just switch out the dark tan plates/tiles & the cobblestone for matching sidewalk.

Added 4 more Clones to the ranks, 2 Sand Green, 2 plain Phase One.

I like the versatility of building one’s own streets & I won’t count it out just yet(despite my initial hate of the idea). I don’t even really mind the stickers for crosswalks. I can’t see them switching the Modulars to plates though. That would ruin one of the biggest features of the line, connection to make a street. Not after 13 years of sets being that way. -
The width is fine, it’s the depth. Since DA is only half what a Modular is. You’d either have to close off the backs or put them somewhere in town(if you have one) where you can’t easily see the backs. I’ve seen a few pictures of them in between & it looks pretty good.
-
That book at least has a nice little interview section with the design team...so it’s not entirely useless.
-
Maybe there’s some sort of malady a Wizard is dealing with in the book. I’m not concerned with the book, I’ve bought plenty before just for the minifig. A dark orange Dumbledore sounds great, so I hope it’s true.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Vindicare replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I would hope they do this. The normal series should remain at 16, because they aren’t “fenced in” if you will by sticking to a theme. Although, selfishly I would want HP to be 16 as well just because I love the franchise. Even the variants have been great. However, if the prices keep creeping up, I may be happy with 12. -
Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
Vindicare replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I hate this idea. At first I was open to it because I could actually use turns other than the T plates in my town(not a fan of the jagged sidewalk on curve plates). But then I read more & it’s 16x16 plates. That’s ridiculously stupid. It would be way too expensive, regardless of the price. For one, I’d need 4 of these new plates to replace one(17 in total plus unused extras) street plate. And a lot more to put my Modulars and other stuff on. -
Saw on legoleaks that there’s a new activity book with Dumbledore this time. May just be the picture, but he looks to be new in Dark Orange. Either that or it’s the Dark Red(print is the same) one with odd lighting.
-
I didn’t either for a while there, but that was when I stopped collecting. In the last few years, I do find it kinda fun. Not something I’m overjoyed to go do, but it’s fun feeling for that particular accessory or hair piece, especially if you’re looking for that one specific minifig. Like with...well any series that isn’t HP, I only want certain ones, so it’s somewhat thrilling to find that one you want. Plus, it’s a hell of a lot cheaper. I assume you’re talking about DA. It will just look like a a row of mystery shops as the stickers are pretty much all signage(at least when looking at the front). Same for me. I’m in no real hurry to get it & if I do end up missing it I won’t be too upset. But seeing more of it & it’s function, it’s growing on me.
