Theres more to it than different shaped ARC reactors. All the printing is different, front and back torso and legs. So, minus the head/helmet, theyretwo completely different figs.

I finally got my hands on some. I like them. The pose when standing on all fours is nice. The front hoof gives off a few vibes, like its starting to run, or scraping it in the dirt. It looks like it could actually move, other than just having all fours planted firmly. The new head is nice, and I see why the old headgear won't fit, it really is different. Great job TLG!

Nice new batch of photos. Might I recommend a bigger axe...or perhaps a chainsaw?

Wow, great details for sure. Quite the build. I like the bits above the door, very nice. The grey mix is a good choice too, not sure about that white stripe though... My guess is a color issue, those pillars only in white? Why did you choose to make the towers different looking? It looks good, just a bit weird to see the different decorations and height of them.

Wow, that thing is large and in charge! I really like the interior. Clean build, I like that you have everything mapped out so good. The interface area towards the back and the troop area in the middle. Very nice. The loading ramps are integrated well in the ship. Any chance we'll be seeing this in real bricks? Not likely I know, given it's size, but it would be quite the sight to behold.

Review: 9474 The Battle of Helm's Deep

Let's see a MOD of the Uruk set and make the wall a 90 degree angle so you could make it a full wall. -
Indeed, nice sets there. A few oldies I've been eyeballing on eBay!

If it were Tim Allen signature, I could kind of see the crazy price hike. But, just a Pixar employee is a bit random.

I think they're just pushed on. Like the little hole on the tap piece is the same size as the hole on the bicycles that the wheels go into. I'm assuming...could be glued too, I guess we'll find out. Either way, that's a clever little cart and nice use of those pieces to make the wheel assembly there.

I like the Sand Red better myself.

What a great scene! Good use of 3rd party pieces. The figs are excellent, how'd you stick the hat on his back? I think I know... Nice backdrop as well. The bank is well built. Looks like you pulled it out of a Western movie. -
I don't know exactly if it's the Hasbro issue at work here. They could always make a lot of build able elements. The board, pieces much like the Giant chess set we saw in Fantasy Era Castle.

2 down...1 to go. I can't wait to see this thing completed! All these teaser pics are making me crazy though. I really like your creatures thus far, they really look accurate. While it's name escapes me, I can't wait to see the final creature! Just out of curiosity, although I'm sure you won't(or can't ) answer the question, how big are we talking about? Like...Naboo hangar size?

Nice shot! I always enjoy seeing figs in real world environments. This works perfectly for the cannibals!

To WhiteFang, I was looking at the review index and 2521 Lightning Dragon Battle isn't on the list of sets. Unless I just completely missed it. Just letting you know.

Alas...I have a piece that alludes me as well. I do like the plant piece you mentioned, but the one I'm after is the picket fence piece, 1x3 I believe it is...

Review: 9474 The Battle of Helm's Deep

Very cool set, and equally great review. But, first thing I have to ask...why 4 booklets?! I really hate having all these instructions for a single set. It's a pain to store them properly and this doesn't help. All those 'brick' bricks! The set is quite a bit bigger than I originally thought. I really like that you can build up the walls, too. Great figs and prints. This line is going to be hard to resist... -
Man, what a great ending(hopefully not, though) to that series, Oky.

Short Story: Mugging in town gone wrong or right?
Vindicare replied to Solscud007's topic in LEGO Town
Excellent photos, as usual. Great job, cool mini story. -
Oh man, I was kind of hoping these would turn out to be a hoax...I'd really like a set...if it's not going to be too pricey.
-
That's right...I don't remember what other set was in there, but the Bounty Hunter ship was hovering and the hologram part was the fire from the booster.

Agreed whole heartedly. Do you mean that little technic bar that you put on to secture the leg? Either way, I don't plan on taking him apart. It would be a pain to do so, and I just couldn't bring myself to do it. When his head rotates to look at you and he bee-boops, it makes your heart melt.

Very cool! That's a lot of work for a small store display. But it is very fun to watch!

Way to keep the faith. :laugh:I too hope it's real, cause that is one good looking fig! Especially since I just got my first taste of chromey goodness with TC-14, it makes me want more!
