  1. To everyone here who makes the MOCs, makes the reviews, takes all the great pictures. I just want to say thank you. I don't intend for this to be a poor me, so please don't look at it this way. I just wanted to say this for awhile now...but wasn't sure it'd be appropriate. I'm taking a stab at it, though. The last few years I've been pretty depressed. My health has been in the garbage for the last six years. The only thing(s) keeping me afloat has been LEGO and the members of this site. I enjoy everything mentioned above and then some. There really is some great and funny members here. I spend the majority of my days here and it's really the only thing I look forward to...so...this is my thanks to all of you who keep this site alive, whether it be the ones in charge who keep it running. Or the ones making the content that we all enjoy. And, of course, above all else, thanks to the LEGO Company for all the great products you put out that we all eat up.
  2. I hope to see a RC MOD, much like the VW Van that was posted awhile ago. I'm glad though, they didn't add a light or sound brick, or PF. It would've been $200 then. Paying $180 was hard enough.
  3. Yeah, I saw that too...he did say though that they're hard to see. Although, zoomed in with a camera, they're quite noticeable. I checked mine after reading that and mine looks good.
  4. I'm not very much into Ninjago, but these sets are pretty cool looking and all have pretty nice figs. Plus, you get all four ninjas, plus the green one and that cool purple snake fig. Plus Samurai X. I'd at least start off with these three.
  5. I'm assuming she offered? If so, I don't think you should feel bad at all. I wish my mom would offer. She doesn't even like LEGO or me buying them. I'd say a congrats is in order, you have a cool mom.
  6. Legoman, this is what I was going to suggest after reading your post. Why. It take a break from it. Just put all your LEGO in one room and keep the door closed. Focusing all ones time on one single thing is never really a good thing. Spread yourself out. While not LEGO, I have an example for you. I've always been into RC cars. Over the years I come and go. I always end up selling all RC related items I have. Well, recently that time came again, only this time, I kept them and just stored them away, knowing I'd be back. Give it some more thought, primarily if you seriously think you'd be back to LEGO or not. If that answer is yes, then just do like I said and close them off for a while and focus on something else.
  7. Awesome! This is my favorite car of yours. I just love it. The details are all perfect. The exhaust on the side is a nice touch. Your 4437 wheel MOD is brilliant! And great looking to boot.
  8. Think you should build this. Although all 1x2 plates would be quite an undertaking. Might I suggest doing that area/floor in the 'brick' brick. It may be expensive, I have no clue, but it would look impressive, I think. I like your front porch area, the entry way. You've got a great start here, keep going.
  9. After finally seeing LotR in better quality pictures, it is a harder decision. But, I still think we need to wait till we see the figs(whether in our hands or by reviews), and see how the builds are. It's still so hard to compare LotR to Castle, though. Theres just so much goodness in all those years.
  10. I really enjoy reading these interviews. Gives a glimpse into the life of our members. The pictures are also a nice addition, along with some good captions.
  11. I'm the same way. I was certainly a fan before LSW. But, now I know so many characters and ships than before. I enjoy spotting characters and ships I never did before or knowing who the ones I didn't were. Like Aurra Sing for example from Ep. I.
  12. I only got one, even with buying R2-D2... I guess maybe I should've ordered from S@H.
  13. They did a have Tumbler set. The set as a whole wasn't exactly accurate, it had Joker(non Ledger) and an ice cream truck. The tumbler itself looked good though.
  14. I was at the Pleasenton store(Stoneridge Mall) and the PaB had white horses, but not much else that I saw.
  15. Well, did you get him? I got mine today and I must say, I'm happy I did-cool fig! I don't think they'll be disappearing at the same time. MMV came out quite a bit before Diagon Alley, did it not? Either way, I too would get Diagon Alley. It's a great set with a lot of figs, a few being exclusives. The buildings(the build, as well) are great, too.
  16. 10225 R2-D2. Whoop! Whoop! & a TC-14, tried getting two but it was an utter failure. I was hoping for bargaining chip to get me a Shadow ARF.
  17. Finally entered the realm of UCS. 10225. And my first promo fig.
  18. Go to the 'Have you ever bought LEGO in secret' thread. That's pretty much where the guilt ridden posts usually take place. I've made a few myself.
  19. You are such an unbelievable builder. The ideas you have are all great and exciting to see. Like the white 1x2 slotted bricks on the front of the first one give the building such texture. And of course your brilliant 1x1 round stacks. Then the walls and roof of the next one. Stunning. You Sir, are a genius. I could stare at your pictures for hours and always see something new.
  20. Not everyone, myself included, don't always check the first post after already reading it and the thread. So, posting or reposting a picture isn't going to hurt anything...
  21. Wow. Brilliant build. All the goings on of the folks is good. The building is great, the inside is well done. The balcony upstairs and all the details and commotion is fun. Neat little stagecoach. I like the slanted roof up top and the sign.
  22. Ya know, I really love seeing LEGO landscapes. And this, is by far one of the best on here. It's amazing! That waterfall is beautiful. That dirt path leading up to the monastery. The stain glass window, wow. Great build and good luck at Brickfair, not that I think you're going to need it. Edit: I gave it another look. I didn't even notice that little waterfall down the way.
  23. Not bad...not bad at all. Upon closer inspection of the Celebration medal, the design on the medal looks like Buzz Lightyear.
  24. You make a good argument for not getting it now for the promo...double VIP points on this would be delicious. Damn you! I was ready to buy him tomorrow.
  25. Heading to the LEGO store tomorrow, I hope they have some left. I'm thinking of getting 10225. I really shouldn't...I do have $50 in VIP points so that would soften the blow a bit. Plus, it'll be my first UCS! Before I start sobbing( ), I'm going to go read your review of our favorite little droid! Oh! I thought of another first, a double first, TC-14 will be my first promo and chrome fig.
