MOC: LEGO X KAWS "Passing Through" Companion 8(xx)8
Vindicare replied to Schfio factory's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Another awesome sculpture(both, actually). I never saw the first one. Your little guys are always so accurate to their source material and this is no different. The thing I really like about your creations is all those wonderful studs. So many people are all SNOT, but I like seeing stuff with studs poking out, it's LEGO. -
Great review, I like the pictures. I missed out on this purposefully, I got the one before it. I wish I didn't once I saw this. Also, this is how the hospital should've been. Big and full of all the necessary details. I really like the suspect wall. The heights are in bricks.

Wow, great buildings there. I really like what you did with the stable building of 10193. Any chance we could get an overview shot of that city? Looks good!

I got the only Mining set that interests me, 4200. I'll be getting the 4207 Garage and 4429 Helicopter Rescue as well. It's a good thing I'm not too big on these Summer sets, I still have a few Forest Police sets yet to get, including the station.

I suppose given the new Batwing and the way the wings work, this should've been an obvious crossover. You handled it very well and added a good bit of X-Wing. I can't help but see too much Bat Wing in the front. Maybe give it an X-Wing length nose in black? I love the ship, though. You definitely get the X-Wing feel in the back with the engines and greebley bit on the back. Nice job, I like you Bat Knight fig, too!

Hit a milestone today! 1000 minifigs. Don't hurt me for the bump.

That's awesome! I definitely see the inspiration for the name. I think it would fit great into the theme. I totally miss Exo Force, I would love to see it return.

I'm excited about those new LOTR sets but...
Vindicare replied to SheepEater's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I wouldn't let that dammer your spirits for LotR. You can always buy from eBay, brick link, PaB. You have a number of outlets if you need more pieces or want to stock up on a few Castle sets. -
Wow, all kinds of extras here!? 2 rings and a sword. I suppose Frodo could give Gollum one just to shut him up. To me, the figs make the set. That little rock thing is meh and I've never really been a fan of these big spiders...maybe because my only one is Aragog. Nice review though. Pictures are clear and you showed the set well.

Review: LotR 9469 Gandalf Arrives
Vindicare replied to Captain BeerBeard's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Where in America do you reside? I was just at mine here in California, and they had just about everything but LotR. The figs and horse look pretty darn good. -
Didn't want to make a new thread for this and thought this the best place to put this. At my local TRU(Northern California). They had Monster Fighters, City(mining), Creator and Ninjago. No Licensed stuff or "Hospital".

Yeah...first, why 2 booklets for the instructions? And, they could of separated the pieces into just two bags... Seems like a lot of wasted space here. Good review though. You really showed the set and it's details pretty well. Good pictures, too. I like the JSFs, and I'll be buying this to add to the small fleet I already have. It'll also be nice to get another Jedi.

I have poster #22,900. Bought it early on in the day on the 5th.

The DC Funhouse set came out of nowhere as well. No pictures before, so there's still hope.

Is Cuusoo too easily taken over by Rabid Fandoms?
Vindicare replied to David Thomsen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Plus, aren't Cuusoo projects only going to be sold on S@H and LEGO stores? No K'Nex, therefore, no confusion. Faefrost, I came back to LEGO thanks to the Cafe Corner, not licenses. -
Do expressions on minifigs matter to you?
Vindicare replied to lego idk's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If you're just collecting, I don't see expressions really being necessary. But, as some have said, if you're making a MOC and are portraying certain scenes, they're definitely needed. Like, if you have two guys fighting, it doesn't work too well if they're both smiling. Personally, while the expressions/facial details are nice, they're not necessary. I grew up with everyone having a happy face. I was fine with it then, and quite frankly, I'd be fine with it now. I don't think it would work though, now with the Licensed themes popping up. Harry Potter would look like himself without the scar and glasses. -
Haha, hjmediastudios, when I saw The Avengers and first saw Fury, in my head I said, "mother****er" Awesome picture.

Modular Western project has reached 10K supporters on Cuusoo!

My apologies. I thought I deleted it from the quote and didn't check the post after submitting. I can't believe I forgot to add my congrats. Ugh...that was a major brain fart. My bad, Cam. Congratulations! I will without a doubt be buying this the moment it comes available. I've been chomping at the bit waiting for the 10K to be achieved. -
Saw Avengers Sunday with the dad...saw Avengers Wednesday with a lady.

You can't really tell in the picture if it's old or not... LEGO is made in many countries, I don't believe the US is one of them. Besides that, it wouldn't matter where it's made, they're shipped all over.

It's nice to see 4207 on a baseplate. I REALLY hope they don't switch to plates...otherwise my city won't be expanding much anymore. I don't want to have ti buy extra baseplates when I'm buying sets to go with my baseplate streets. and I won't be buy plates with a street print on them, I already have too many old light grey street plates collecting dust...

Which Lego Ninjago set attracts you the most?
Vindicare replied to Omega X's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Epic Dragon Battle edges out Ultra Sonic Raider and Samurai Mech. I've only gotten the dragon sets in the past, so I'll be branching out with buying the other two. I really like that Pythor fig, for whatever reason. Then, getting all four ninjas is a nice plus. I like the Mech, hopefully the build will differ from other mechs of the past. Plus, who doesn't love Samurais. -
So did I. Holy back from the dead, Batman! I haven't seen you post in awhile. Good to see you back and I hope you have a City layout update for us. (I haven't checked Town yet). I don't want to get my sights set too high. Given the current track record of action themes, were only going to see one wave. That's not to say I won't like or buy probably every set they put out. I hope we see a dog sled.

I don't see price being a problem. You do know it's just one building, not all? Whats this Polar theme you speak of?
