I think hate is a bit of a strong word in tis case... I don't see anything wrong with 3rd party parts or *gasp!* other brands. Say you're building a sculpture type MOC and you use off brand bricks for the guts of the model surrounded by LEGO. Wanting to use the good stuff on the outside where it counts. Or on the back and sides of a building, again, save the good bricks for where it counts. Then again, I never understood all the hate for clone brands...but that's another thread. Using Brickarms or Brickforge is fine. Making a military MOC will greatly benefit from Brickarms. Brickforge has some great armor/weapons for medieval or fantasy figs.

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26

I think that's the sentiment of everyone who has seen this thread and those pictures. I know I am. :cry_happy:(added one for you, too Ogre). Although, I think that's a pretty much a sure thing that tears will fall. If he does show a overview picture, we'll all be crying tears of joy! -
Yeah, that's what I'm eager to see, the MODs. See if we get an RC R2?! Much like the VW Van. Maybe a light behind the red 1x1 round, self spinning head? I can't wait to see them.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Would it be a worthwhile trade TC-14 for Shadow ARF? Rarity and price wise? I really want the ARF, but TC is my very first promo/chrome fig. -
Prices definitely suck when it comes to theaters. But, there's always those movies that are worth seeing in one, I think this is one of those movies. The action and explosions is just awesome and worth seeing on the big screen.

TRU is actually cheaper than S@H?! I didn't think I'd ever see the day.

They're housing my unopened sets. That's all.

No links, but just search "Lego custom town" and among the results should be quite a few restaurants. Theres Taco Bell, Chic-Fil-A, Chilis, just to name a few.

LEGO in Film & TV: Index of Appearances

I just saw a Chevy commercial, a little boy had a wagon full of bricks and was filling in the cracks of concrete he encountered. Must have got the idea from the pictures that are floating around of the bricks filling the voids in walls. -
So true. I just got done building mine, and I can't get over how awesome he is! Seriously, if you are a fan of Star Wars you really should NOT pass on this. The pictures definitely do not do this justice. The build was amazing and fun. Just seeing him come together bit by bit was just great. Sure, wheels or a light brick or PF would be nice. Luckily, you can add all those if you want.

Have you thought about making a hard suit/heavy armor? Like a brick built suit using the head/helmet only? That would be a neat compliment to all your other designs.

I gotta agree with this. 4435 is definitely a nice set. But that caravan is just lacking. I like the figs, the green torso is one of my all time favorites. The new female torso is always welcome in a City layout. From the outside, the trailer is great, but the interior is just not good. I'd still recommend getting it. It's a nice set and the build is pretty good. The way the trailer closes is a nice and clever trick.

Great movie and scene. It looks like that fella back there in the blue suit with the bat must be sick...he's turning yellow(that hands and face don't match ) nice picture though. I'm stuck in a glass case of emotion looking at this picture.

Oh good, I wasn't the only one puzzled by that statement.

Oh my...the hill alone is quite the feat. The house is remarkable. Those trees are awesome. Amazing job building this monster. I'm not familiar with the house, but a quick Google search helped remedy that. A job well done is in order. The attention to detail in not only the house, but the surrounding area as well is great. I really like the roof.

We would never see sets like that nowadays...$109 for 850 pieces/12 minifigs/printed baseplates. Oh, the good ol days.
-
And that's really too bad, because 7952 UFO Abduction is just too cool a set. The light brick that holds it's prey in it's deadly clutches! Then the fact that you can pounce on them and actually abduct them is beyond cool. Edit: that upper left one I'm assuming is the mothership, that is awesome! And a better looking mothership than what we got.

Wow! This may be the most in depth review I've read. Like WhiteFang said, the arranging of all those piecesw must've taken some time. Your pictures are fantastic. The details you show in your pictures are great, I got the feeling I was building the set. I feel your pain and mystery at seeing all that Technic guts, especially the, "monster the darkest hells" part. Great job highlighting this set in all it's glory! Why do they use all the odd ball colored pieces when they have them in more set appropriate colors? Do you think they use the different whites to show give Artoo a little texture? Since he's not always this pristine white color, he has some shadowy areas at times!

I think that's everyones favorite scene. The theatre was BUSTING! up at that scene. Great one Oky, all of them, really.

Once again, Sheldon mentioned LEGO. He mentioned a "good date" as going to a midnight madness sale to buy LEGO Indiana Jones. He must be a little behind on his LEGOing. -
Does fandom influence your Licensed preferences?
Vindicare replied to Clone OPatra's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't always let the Fandom take control. I like Cars, Spongebob and Toy Story, but haven't bought any from there. I've come close a few times, but never pulled the trigger. More often than not, I buy swats of movies I like.I never really got into PoP sets, even though I enjoyed the movie. I do, however have a few(got on clearance). I think that was the reason for buying them. As a collector, not MOCer, I buy sets for the set. I'm not a completist in some cases. But, being a huge HP fan, I have to have it all. Take 4865 Forbidden Forest, for example. I didn't care much for the set...who doesn't have enough of Harry, Hagrid or Voldemort, but I really wanted Narcissa. Same goes with 6865 Captain America Avenging Cycle I bought just for Cap. Even if TLG were to release a Licensed theme that I didn't care for, if I like the set, I'd most likely get it. -
Those prices are crazy. $30 more in some cases...wow. I think you definitely should contact LEGO about this. Get as many AFOLs as you can. Maybe if enough of you say you won't be buying it locally. Of course, you may need to get in touch with the local distributor or something. Either way, good luck!

Just watched the video. It's definitely a cool model. The functionality of it is really impressive.

Awesome man, congrats!

Finally got around to seeing this today. WOW! So awesome! Action packed and funny. The scenes where they're fighting together, killer. Going again Wednesday.
