  1. These are great. I easily recognized all of them. I use to have just about all the plastic model kits from the reboot that was about 10 years ago. Fantastic job, keep them coming!
  2. Quite an amazing build, wow! You can't quite tell just how much larger it is...until you look inside. All your additions are fantastic, the breakaway walls are great.
  3. Another thing with non AFOLs and their possible thinking of what LEGO is today isn't what they may have pictured in their mind. For example, I had 10210 Imperial Flagship displayed for years. People were shocked to hear that it was LEGO. Some would question me again, "That's LEGO?!" What it seems is a lot of people don't realize what LEGO is today. It's not just your basic blocks in basic colors.
  4. Those both have been discussed at length here. Both, in my opinion, being petty and stupid to begin with(especially in the case of 9516...a "building" made almost 40 years ago..). All in all, no matter what or how great something is, there will always be a group of people who find something, no matter how minute, to complain about.
  5. Time restraints are a given in book to movie adaptations. It is a bit unfortunate in some cases, but if they spent more adequate time, we'd probably be 6 movies in by the end of it all. I just got back from The Hobbit as well. I loved it. I liked the addition of Tauriel(gotta feel bad for Legolas...losing out to a dwarf ). I liked the fight scenes with the Elves the most. Smaug looked & sounded fantastic.
  6. It looks like Mark Wahlberg is among them as well. In Parade, a little magazine paired with the local paper, interviewed him. "What would people be surprised to know about you?" My sons and I thoroughly enjoy Legos. We go to the toy store every week for more. I never want to take what we build apart, I want to put it on a shelf. My wife is starting to get a little annoyed with the Legos lying around.
  7. Well, seeing as these sets are based on the respective shows...it should be apparent which versions of the characters we were getting. Taskmaster has been in the Ultimate Spider-Man show, as has blue Electro, which is his 'Ultimate' comics look(as is Goblin).
  8. Ah yes, a crappy photo says it all. Save the vomit bag till you actually see it for yourself. Just because a building block toy isn't LEGO doesn't automatically make it crap.
  9. NBA player Dwight Howard is.
  10. Just got back from Catching Fire...oh..my..gawd. All I'll say is it was intense! Great bloody job!
  11. Without seeing the original Spidey that Fish did, I have to agree here. It IS Spider-Man. Every person that has their 'own' interpretation of him is still copying. I just searched for Amazing Spider-Man, I saw a yellow lenses, small hex patterned one. So...I don't see how it's plagerism, when it's a copy of a copy...of a copy. I think it's just overreacting to seeing something similar to yours. I remember a large uproar much like this overall 10228 Haunted House...
  12. Thor. Awesome, awesome, awesome!
  13. 60009 Helicopter Arrest
  14. This is very disturbing. This will surely tarnish LEGOs good name, to an extent. Someone buys these thinking they're genuine, then they break and/or the buyer discovered what utter crap they are, and they blog about it or what have you. The blatant copies added to the fact that it says "LEGO" on the receipt(in the mentioned case, anyways). They've even stolen box art right down to the screaming Darth Maul.
  15. Oh man...so excited! This is going to be awesome. "Come with me if you want to not die", *throws 30 batrangs* "First try!" This is definitely going to be at least a 2 view movie on the theatres.
  16. I lean very much towards Marvel. There's a few sets from the DC side I haven't, and most likely won't be, getting. I do enjoy both lines though and am getting more into DCs comics.
  17. 70701 Swarm Interceptor
  18. Just a guess here, but I'm assuming he's referring to the fact that it's 'basically' a copy of something already in existence in LEGO, as opposed to a fresh and/or original design. Not that you didn't put forth the time and effort. I haven't had a real good look at your Tumbler, but having built the previous one, I'm sure it's a considerable improvement.
  19. It just clicked when I read this. I knew I've seen that uniform before. Fury wears a similiar uniform in the Marvel Now! Wolverine series. He's on the cover of #3.
  20. Asking $50 plus shipping. I realize most will only want Patriot, but as it came as a package deal, it's going to stay as such.
  21. Well, she is an Avenger and Agent. His shield isn't colorless except for the end when the flash the release date, and it still has bits of color n it. Looks to me like they're portraying a tough road ahead for Cap. As for uniform, it looks more like S.H.I.E.L.D agent and less Captain to me(when he's talking to Redford as well as other times). That's probably what helps propel him to what (movie wise) may take place if the Civil War story makes it to the big screen. And, I wouldn't call Falcon a minor character. Action wise, he's very prominent and right beside the movie Avengers. In the Now! Avengers comics he's around quite a bit, as well as in the A vs/+ X series. I don't really care for how they made Falcons uniform though, at least give him the red wings...instead of what appears to be mechanical metal ones. I noticed that as well. I'd love for that storyline to happen, that was an awesome series, one of the best I've read.
  22. Yes! I saw this before and I was dying! So funny.
  23. Ultimate Spider-Mans recent episode, it was cool to see Iron Patriot. But...
  24. Yep, mine came too. Iron Patriot. Now I have to dig my PS3 out the moving box. What better motivation to find then this beauty of a game.
  25. That's quite ingenious. It's like a fusion of Bionicle and System. The poses are great, the crouched with fist on the ground is awesome! I like the open hands 'pew pew' pose too.
