I love it. People want something gone because they don’t like it. Should LEGO stop making Chinese New Year sets because it conjures up thoughts of what China does to it’s people? Or close the factory in China...woo boy, just think of all the money they gubernatorial to China for that place.

While we’re in a completely different area....but I went to the same store a month apart. First trip they didn’t have new parts, including the minifig you mentioned, but did the next. Have hope! It’s a very neat print.

Social media has really dumbed things down across the board. I certainly enjoy it because I’ve met some really cool people through it. But too many are focused on views & likes & that “have to be first” mindset. Not bad...but unnecessary & attention seeking to me. But I get it for those whose income is social media related. I don’t have a problem with showpieces. Most of the sets I buy are just display pieces, whether they go on a shelf or into my town(that’s sorta playing I suppose). My problem is the showpieces are pretty much always huge expensive sets. Yes, yes...I don’t have to buy them all, but I’d like to. When LEGO pumps out so many, it’s impossible to keep up. Its just a different time...

To the D2C talk & whether it was intentional or not, but since we AFOL’s love patterns...the first D2C was a display model, second was a playset, third was a display model. IF that is an actual thing, we should be seeing a playset this year. I’d rather it not be a $470 one that includes Gringotts...but I’ll get it if I have to. After building the Trunk set I’m a bigger fan than I was. It’s basically a People Pack(R.I.P.) in HP form. A little expensive but chock full of goodies. Has some great parts, another Quibbler tile, a third(!) Marauders Map, Bertie Botts, polyjuice potion cup, cauldron. Rare minifig parts, pre sorted uniform & a few hair pieces. And of course, the heads. Great for those of us making full Quidditch teams.

That gives me hope. They had the teal one at my last visit so hopefully I can complete the group this time.

This is exactly why I never pulled the trigger on the prepacked minifigs. The exclusive parts were always tied to other parts I didn’t want. I’ll go for regular stuff, but only if I don’t have many of them. Like the dark blue sweater that only came in Spring Lantern Festival...I finally found that & was able to grab what I wanted with it. I’m the opposite of you with heads though...I don’t go for those, just different/exclusive or rare to me prints are what I look for.

After two years I was finally able to do it. It was so nice & fun digging through the parts & looking for the gold that sunk to the bottom. Hopefully you can return to that soon.

That’s my thought as well even though I can’t understand how anyone could mix up the two. If the minifigs weren’t a big enough hint, the base of the set is a dead giveaway. Am doing the rumor for the expansion was a 16x32. So I’m really puzzled by that rumor.

Completely fair & understandable. New(and adorable) animals are always a great addition & a scene stealer. Over the last couple years I’ve been obsessed a bit over getting all the bike colors. Yellow & dark pink were the only two I didn’t have.

It seems to be based on the movie, given he comes with a jet pack...which I’m kinda happy about. If if were G1 it would be a for sure buy. I already have enough to buy this year, but still, it could be a maybe. I’m very excited to see him nonetheless. I know they’re going to kill it, they’ve been making some amazing mechs lately.

There’s always the beach goers. There’s been a fair number of bikini prints over the years. Awhile ago there was a MOC posted here with something along the same lines of what you’re going for. I’ll see if I can track it down or someone with a better memory may come along & point you in the right direction.

You forgot the best part! The yellow bike! Only came in one set in 1998.

If light isn’t a problem, translucent. Because it’s fun to see all the jumbled bricks. If you go opaque, you could always make a little label to stick on then front. I keep my sets together & use shoebox size containers. I make a label of set number(s) so I can know easier what’s inside.

Ha! I sure did. After the first two bases, I just flipped past those pages because they’re all the same. Oops...

For 80108 what is up with the gold frog? It doesn’t go anywhere but it is in the inventory.

60319 Fire Rescue & Police Chase Yes, I bought this set largely for the adorable new kitten(which I also ordered 3 of each one on B&P when I got home). Overall the set was worth it to me. The car is cool & the new fire truck is decent. Man, that yellow is very jarring though.

Love the JP set of course(and ordered), but I really like the vehicles in the other two. I’m always excited by something different, and these two are different. I especially like the one that Malcolm is driving.

Is the violin a different color? I’m pretty sure it’s the same one as in the CMF...but can’t quite tell.

The franchise as we know it is very likely dead. The rights were sold to Universal.

Agreed. She has so much charm & character. That huge grin is infectious. Great torso print. And getting another one of those hat/hair pieces is always good. And a rare medium leg color to boot! As a city builder it’s nice to have this variety in kids, but I’m sure she easily could’ve came in a farm set this summer & saved the spot for a more unusual(themes wise) pick.

It stinks....ever since the Halloween ones a few years back, my stores have consistently been behind on BaM parts...I know there’s Bricklink but it’s much more fun to grab & build myself. I’ve seen bits & pieces but never the full compliment.

A fun review, nice job! Apparently the crook is also bad at putting on stickers...since we see her attempt, but no finished product. Her car is very cool though. However, you didn’t highlight the best part about this set enough.....the KITTEN!

Finally ventured out for Series 22- got all but Figure Skating Champion, Night Protector, Space Creature & Wheelchair Racer. There really is so much to love in this series. Still not really a fan of the $4.99 tag...but if they keep this standard I’ll be more forgiving. A lot of the face prints are great. The new molds are fantastic. Getting a few medium legs in new-to-me colors is always a plus.
