Hey guys, almost forgot to reply here.. Thanks a lot to everyone for the comments and remarks. As right now I'm trying to make instructions in the LDD at least for the house. I will put it here for anyone who wants it once I finish it.

And it means. It means that I like your work. But I started following you on Flickr after your Grief and joy MOC and didn't honestly noticed this one in particular. But, anyway, we are all here to learn and evolve with others, so...

Thanks guys for the comments. This comment (and the ones that you posted on my flickr) makes me think that somehow I offended you.. The truth is that this build was, like I said before, inspired by Vitreolum Mocs and not by yours, as I didnt know your build until you posted it on my flickr. If there are similarities they were not on purpose and if you were the first to use the technics, well good to you and congratulations.

Hey everybody. Just a quick build from last night. I'm a big fan of the show and since LEGO released the set I've been wanting one. But dont have the space to properly display it, so I build a miniature one. It's a simple build, but it looks quite nice on the glass cabinet ;) Hope you like it. Enchanted Forest Diorama - Arte em Peças 2015
cesbrick replied to cesbrick's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks guys and galls for the comments. I'm realy glad you all liked. And yes, I agree with some of the comments about these not look like a forest. It has lots of trees but they are small compared to the huge display area, and look sparce. But I ran out of parts (and time) so this was the best I could do. As I said, my idea was to make lots more trees and specially bigger ones to amke it look like a lush and thick forest. Maybe the next time the display is assembled -
Hey everybody. The 6th Arte em Peças held on Paredes de Coura, the annual exhibition that my LUG, Comunidade 0937, organizes every year took place on the last weekend of May and on the first of June. It was a blast! I was responsible for the Enchanted Forest display featuring my Bluewater castle, Wedgwood House, Morisledge Cottage, Green Lake Tower Ruins and other MOCs that I made for it. Special thanks to Hugo Santos https://www.flickr.com/photos/hugosantos0937/ who build the wonderful green roof church and elaborate the display' s scheme (were all the buildings would be, were the rivers would pass, etc). It has 6 by 14 Baseplates (48x48 studs) and my estimation is that it has more then 500.000 parts. Every single Baseplate has some texture and elevations and many are elevated 10 or more bricks to give more sense of depth. The landscape came out a little poor as I ran out of parts for trees and vegetation. I would have liked to give it a sense of a more thick and full forest, but it was not possible. Also, my intention was to put a lot more minifigs, specially on the village center with more activity situations, but I just didn't have the time I would like to thank my buddies of 0937 for helping me in every way that they could. This was only possible because of the effort of many. Hope you like it! Enchanted Forest Enchanted Forest

Thanks a bunch guys. Did not expect to get to front page with this one. Always an honor! Yes, that is supposed to be chemistry set like some kind of distillation apparatus..

This was made a few weeks ago but I was waiting for some modulex. Today I was able to get some and took some quick shots of the MOC. It represents a kid's room, based on my own childhood room, with some doodles hanged on the walls, lots of toys on the floor, lots of comics and a real mess :) My favorite parts are the mini Imperial Shuttle and the flowers pot hanged next to the window. What's yours (if any!)? :) Hope you like it! Kid's room Kid's room Kid's room

Hey Guys I've been wanting to do a ruins build for quite some time and thought that the mighty forest of Avalonia would be the perfect for it. Continuing his long journey trough Vanhorn enchanted forests, Adam manage to get a small boat to go up Green Lake river and get to the next village so he can get some supplies. Passing trough the lake he stumbles across an old watchtower, so old and decayed that a magnificent tree was able to grow from inside and the branches and leaves sprouts from every cranny and hole! He realizes then, that he must close to a village... Finally he will be able to get some rest and a proper meal. His task is daunting and it's finally close to an end... The size is 2x2 BP (48x48) and I used 3000 tiles 1x1 in trans-green! :/ Hope you like it! Green Lake Tower Ruins Green Lake Tower Ruins Green Lake Tower Ruins

Thanks guys and gals! It is indeed a very good feeling building different things. I've been so focused (for various reasons) on medieval/fantasy MOCs that I almost forgot how fun is to build anything in Lego. Thanks for your comments, and yes this is my very first vehicle. It turned out a little to big, I agree.. My initial plan was to not include a minifig but later on I decided to put one and a little "story" to go along and it looks a little bit strange indeed. I'm not sure I understand about the rim. Do you mean on the wheels? If so, that's a very nice suggestion. I did not think on that. Thanks for the tip. Always learning

I've been wanting to do some builds different from my usual castle/fantasy tendency, so while I'm waiting a few days for some parts to arrive to do more builds to my LUGs Fantasy display, I decided to make this little truck. This is based on one of many trucks that I saw (and hitchhiked) on my home little town when I was a kid. Mr. Manel da Linda is very annoyed because that little bastard is taking toooo long to cross the road... :) This is my first thing with wheels :) so please bare with me. I must say I had lots of fun building this and definitely want to do MOCs of different themes from now on! Thanks for watching! PS: Carripana is portuguese for "old decaying ugly truck"! ;) Carripana Carripana Carripana

Almost forgot to answer here... Thnaks guys! Thanks Patrick for your kind words, again. This is not on GoH because I didnt have a bealivable good enough story to go with it.. I suck at those...

Thanks everyone for the kind remarks! No, I'm no magician... Actually the roofs are quite simple. It's a mix of hinges, plates and wedges and the real "secret" is how I cover them up with tiles and plates in a few ways, basically half connected and with different heights. Maybe one day I'll do a tutorial on that The string that I use is real Lego string! I'm a purist, and the only thing less purist is the cutting of the flexible tubing. But I agree with you, it adds a lot of character to the build. Love it to!

Hey there, First things first: I really dislike square bases, this one was made just to cover the basic bricks that I used to elevate the all build to match the rest of the display. Just Ignore it :) This is another build to my LUGs (comunidade 0937) display that will be first time showed on Arte em Peças on the first 2 weekends of June. It will be part of a village that it will be inserted on a large display next to my blueWater Castle. The Wedgwood house and the Healer’s House will be part of it to. It was a real blast building these one because of the color scheme that I just happen to love. The roof is bright light orange and the landscape is primarily lime green. It has lots of little details, both on the cottage but also on the landscape. It’s 4 side viewable too, of course. Enjoy! Morisledge Cottage Morisledge Cottage fggfgr Morisledge Cottage

As portuguese and an Algarve lover, I can tell you that this is very accurate. The cliff is spetacular as the rest of the MOC. Congratz!

Thanks guys! Well I placed dark blue plates (mostly) below the trans clear 1x2 plates on the river. You cant tell from the pics, but it's blue.. ish

Thanks, that quite a compliment! Your welcome! You should join a LUG if you haven't already. Well it also helped that the most important parts were already parted out in small containers. That helped a lot for sure. Thanks basiliscus! Obrigado! Thanks! Thank you. Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoy it. Thank you Master! Thanks! Thank you. I do enjoy using vibrant colors specially on the landscape.I think it gives a sense of whimsical to the build that it's appealing to me. Thanks a lot Soccer! Coming from you this is a real nice compliment. Hey Halhi, thank you for your words. I agree with you, normal green is not my first choice, but with tis size (and the rest of the display also) I will have to use lots of it. I try to put some other shades of green like dark, olive and sand on top of it to give more texture and variaty. I also think that the roofs came out nice Thanks! It took me around 250 hours in 50 or so days. It was intense!

In these case, these MOC was made for my LUG's expositions so 95% of the parts belongs to them/us. And yes, they have ways of buying parts with good prices like on LUG Bulks and such.

Thanks guys for all the comments. Thanks Ecc for the highlight on the frontpage virtualrepublic - It sure is possible, but I don't think I would ever manage to do it myself. Hugo - Thanks, it sure will be hard work but I think it will be a great display.

After fulfilling his contracted task on the enchanted forests of the west region, Adam and Terryn started their return trip to Albion. They’ve been riding for 3 days and are now on BlueWater Castle region. The castle and the surrounding lands belongs to Sir Bridger and his beautiful daughter, Lady Melissa. Adam, but specially Terryn, are tired and in need for a resting place. Maybe Sir Bridger would welcome them on his castle to spend the night? Perhaps they could even get a chance to meet Lady Melissa and her legendary beauty… Hey guys, I was going to post these MOC on History Forum, but I thought it would fit well on the West Region of avalonia, my current Guild as it is home to mighty stone castles. Also, can I somehow put the castle on Avalonian map? Is that possible? I consider myself a castle builder, but I have never build a castle in the real sense of the word, so I thought it was about time I build one. As I’m working on a big display to my LUGs expositions (Comunidade 0937) and having access to a lot more parts I could go a little wild. :) This MOC stands on a footprint of 4x3 (48x48) baseplates and is more than 3 feet high. I had a clear idea of what I wanted to do since the beginning, but of course some modifications and adjustments were made along the build, such as the positioning of the various towers on the main walls or the shape of the half-timbered sections. A few facts and thoughts that I would like to share: - Its viewable from the 4 sides and completely modular so it can easily be transported. - Despite having access to more parts, I still had some limitations. So, for instance, I had to use more LBG 1x2 plates and 1x2 masonry dark tan bricks on the walls that I wanted but nevertheless I think it turned out Ok all the same. - The colors used on the landscape terrain are not the ones that I would like to use, but again, due to its size, I had to use more common ones. - I build this at home and took me about 250 hours in 50 or so days to build this MOC. - I have no idea how many parts it’s made off! If someone as a rough idea, please let me now. But I can tell you that just on the landscape alone and on the castle interiors I used around 10000 2x4 bricks of various colors and on the walls I used at least 4000 round 1x1 bricks. - The landscape was not my priority as it will sure suffer some changes and adding’s when integrated on the full display so I spend just 5 days on it and is not yet as I want him to look. - Also, the trees are somewhat simple as I need them to be brickbuild (for easier transportation and also due to time restrictions) but I kind like them that way. - Naturally, I’m a BIG noob in taking good pics and these are total crap (overexposed, poor lighting, poor focus). Taking reasonable ones was a huge #$#/&%$ pain and in my opinion it looks so much better in person :) Hope you all like it. It sure was an immense fun to build these one :) I will try to upload more pics in a few days before I get this huge thing in card boxes :) BlueWater Castle BlueWater Castle BlueWater Castle
