Yay, new banner..kind of scary looking though...LOL

I just cut some shorter rigid hose parts from a longer original piece. Saved having to buy more parts when I had what I needed already...

I got two of these today, just built one..it was a nice build. Lot of parts considering the price. This has to be one of the mystery sets though. I had put it in my cart on S@H to save having to look it up when the 2X points started..but by then, it had disappeared off the website. Only way to find it was by searching on the set number, 40154. Then it kept getting erased from my order. I started over and then it worked. Really strange. Its like they don't want anyone to buy it. Well I got two today in the post. One was fine, but the other one looked rather squashed. It also felt like the box had gotten damp..again, very strange. Everything else in the shipment was OK, so it must of been damaged before it got put in my order shipment. Oh and I tried to do the online satisfaction survey for it, only it said that set number doesn't exist and wouldn't let me do the survey... (queue the Twilight Zone music) haha!

I just tried adding an Elves set to a cart and it added the polybag to the order..So I think they are still giving them out..maybe clear the cart and start over..might work..

I don't even have any green cheese slopes...I see myself as a gold fireman helmet piece...haha! I seem to be collecting them...

Nice review, and nice photography to show it off. I might get this as a gift, not sure yet, I need to ask some good hint questions if my niece would like it. I think she is leaning towards Emma's house though. I think its funny that they designed in that little bathroom!

I got the free Elves polybag today, I bought the Farran and the Crystal Hollow set, $15 and got it. You should only get it if you make any Elves purchase. I got it to give away as a gift to one of my relatives. I got 2 of the Pencil Pot sets too. One of them is fine, but the other one was all squashed and the cardboard box felt like it had gotten wet...weird... The whole delivery box got smashed up also, I was worried everything in it was damaged, but its all OK. So my order has been broken up into 3 parts, two packages delivered, and now am waiting just for my Tower of Orthanc to be available...glad it was free shipping!

I heard there was going to be a Ferris Wheel also...not seen anything recently though.

I have started my version of a Cafe Corner, and first change I have done is to add a door from the cafe area to the back. I am wondering why they didn't do that on the original. It seems logical that a cafe would have a back door. I want to incorporate some sort of interior too...should be fun..I need to look at what others have done.

It kind of makes the site look like its on auto-pilot, no one really keeping it up to date, and we know that is not the case...It is now Spring after all... and the seasons seems to have been the theme for the banner...

The Pirates Chess Set (40158) shows out of stock until 13 Sept. now...wow..thats 6 months! I am glad I ordered it when I did, mine should be here in a couple days...

Site is back up, and I have been testing, and so far, so good, its working right for me now. My points seem to be updated too I think. Now if they could just get the Tower of Orthanc back in stock and send me mine... :-)

I am a Frank Lloyd Wright fan, and follow several blogs on his work. I found this entry in the 'Wright in Racine' blog. Its a very nice rendition of the SC Johnson Wax Research Tower. The whole USA site is down now, with an apology page coming up when trying to access it.

They ship the items that are available now, and the out of stock will wait till its in, then will ship separately. I am getting all but the one out of stock item I ordered, sent in two shipments, should be here next week. The points should be safe, since placed the order during the 2x period.

I'm planning on making these same substitutions, makes sense, price wise, and the look is maintained.

I might just do that change. I have the parts in LBG...I think it looks quite grand as-is for now. I just got the right parts for the fire escape...will add those. I had to really squeeze it into my layout, my table is officially too small now! Not sure if I build a Cafe Corner, if it will fit...I am fast outgrowing my Lego Room...

So who else is tired of having so many problems trying to order from the S@H site? I know I have. I have to play musical browsers just to make an order or try to find out the status of an existing order. I know a lot of people have been having major problems like me. I find that if I clear the cache, which happens automatically when I quit my browser, I can relaunch it and the S@H site will again work normally, but only for a few clicks/page changes, then its back to malfunctioning. No matter what I do, I get sent back to the front page of the site. I don't know what it is, and its probably a collection of problems, but I think they really should get to work on fixing it. With record profits and all time high popularity, I would think more emphasis on an excellent website would be a top priority. And then there is the issue of the on again, off again confirmation emails. I ordered several things back on Sunday, and still have not received any form of confirmation or status message. I only know that most of my order has been shipped because I went on to the site to look up the order status. Maybe later today I will get a message, but so far, none. Doing this triggers the above mention set of problems! Haha... Today, after having to switch from Firefox to Safari (I am on a Mac) a satisfaction survey popped up on me. So I filled it out, but as usual, it was not geared to actually address any problems that are occuring. So I tried to explain what is happening to me when on the site in one of the comment boxes. I doubt it will get to where it needs to go, though. So they might realize there are problems, but that survey didn't really allow me to point them out. It was the usual stuff, 'would you recommend the site to a friend or family member' etc.... I tried contacting customer support to tell them about the problems I have been having and got a semi-canned response, placing all the blame on me and my browser...not good. I know its something to do with that, but they need to keep the site up to date with the latest browsers, which I know is not easy since they are all constantly being updated. I think the problem intensified for me after Firefox was updated. Maybe they are working on it, but progress doesn't show to me. Thoughts?

My backordered Pirates Chess Set is 'In Warehouse' now, so just the Tower is a waiter item...

I wish they would hire someone for their website that can get it running smoother and/or invest in more capacity! I have to close my browser completely after just 1-2 page changes to get it to work. I got as far as my order list, but then it would send me back to the front page if I tried to open the order! So annoying! "I have the same 'waiting for more stock" status too. That's a new one for me. But then again, I haven't ever ordered something that said it was out of stock before. I hope its not worse than backordered (I think it may be its not actually manufactured yet)... My order has a couple things in warehouse, Orthnac is waiting for more stock and Pirates Chess Set is backordered. I will keep checking on it. They will send the available items right away, then the rest will take more time...

I just read on The Brick Fan that the end is here for PS, no more stock to stores, but can still get it on S@H. Shows a ship by end of March availability. I have one built and one unopened, so thats it for me..

I tried ordering the Tower of Orthnac too, and wasn't there early enough to get one, I am in the same boat, with the standard 30 day wait notice. I think it won't take that long to get though...hopefully. The other thing I ordered was the Pirates Chess Set, and that is back ordered as well! Its been a day now and still haven't got any email confirmation, I just printed out the order when I placed it. I think that is because it is still the weekend though.
