  1. Very cool looking creature!
  2. Hi Everyone I finally got round to photographing one of my favorite MOCs, this is the Inn The prancing pony from the Lord of the Rings the Felowship of the Ring! Like all my other models I aimed for the style of an official set, please enjoy these pictures or check out my MOC page for some more details: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/410849 Using robot arms as hinges and a small turn-table the stairs folds into the available space so that the building can close in half. The eye of Sauron appears by turning a small knob pocking out the side of the building. The hobbits can escape by pulling out one of the beds revealing a chute which drops them down to the front door. Thanks for viewing!
  3. Thanks for all your comments :)
  4. Hi Everyone Just showing off one of my newly finished MOCs, part of an ongoing personal project to complete my own lord of the rings collection. Originally a LDD project, now brought to life this is a £50ish value unofficial set 'Attack at Amon Hen' The set includes the five minifigures, Aragorn, Boromir, Frodo, Lurtz, and one Uruk-hai The first feature of the set is activated when you slide the knob on the back of the structure.. Frodo puts on the ring and the eye of Sauron is revealed! The eye of Sauron is a custom painted dish, and is mounted on a very small miniature of the top of the dark tower. On the other side the wall opens to reveal a hiding space where Frodo can escape Boromir, it is just big enough to fit a hobbit snugly inside. The 'chair' on the top was difficult to construct, in the end 3x3 plates and ratcheting hinges enabled me to build something the right size and close to the movie. The first of the two sphinxes out the front of the main structure launches two flick-fire missies when it is pushed forwards. The second sphinx opens up to reveal Lurtz's sward, which he uses in his fight against Aragorn after ditching his bow. Thanks for viewing!
  5. Also probably the biggest question: why the wizard of oz level with only the wicked witch as a physical toy? Didn't that theme get rejected in an ideas review?
  6. Yeas I see it's only the micro builds/figures with the chips in the base for now, I'm just proposing the idea if they do full size tie-in sets, wishful thinking I know
  7. I'm wondering if there may be tie-in sets in the pipeline based on levels of the game...? This would be a golden opportunity to get the Balrog as it seems to be a boss. I won't hold my breath tho. In the photos on the polygon website I spot: gimli, an Orc carrying the eye of Sauron, the white tree if gondor (behind the riddler), the Balrog obv and a Mumakil in the background. They all copy the first video-game versions exactly though by the looks of it.
  8. Wow, it doesn't even look like lego unless you look really closely, fantastic job!!
  9. Excellent sculpting! The mother especially looks very organic, the small ones are cute too
  10. Very nice!
  11. That's a lovely sculpture, it really captures the animals tender personality. the face is particularly good Feel free to share your other works, it would be nice too see them too :)
  12. Looks really nice, great job!
  13. Wow they look great, faramir is perfect!
  14. Thanks! It's the Prospector from the minifigures collectible series. :)
  15. Sorry to bump this old thread I have a few more i would like to share: The barman from the prancing pony: Barliman Butterbur Lothlorien elf soldiers, they use Elrond's body and Aquaman's head Finally, although not missing characters I wanted to share these lake town guards I customized : Thanks for looking!
  16. Well that sucks :(
  17. Seconded, a moulded slingshot is long overdue
  18. Interesting that snake doesn't have a gun, only a loot sack, and chief Wiggum also only has a bat.
  19. Some of those hair peices with combined hats look great on the dolls, I like the maiden and cowgirl especially, they look perfect! Quite eye opening how well the system parts go with the dolls, you have demonstrated much potential!
  20. Very nice! Some very interesting and original building techniques used on the predator I see
  21. If seen the movie, so I can appreciate this build, nicely done! I'll support you
  22. Funnily enough I started with the feet and worked my way up, I think they are one of the things i did perfectly.
  23. Moc pages is down atm so I'll try to post a pic directly. It's just over 300 pieces, smaller and simpler than others that exist. I was aiming for something in the range of metalbeard's size. There is a light-brick in the back, I only wish I could have smaller, scarier eyes. Edit: ok mocpages is running now, I have more pics available here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/406112
  24. Good eye! I can't see how it is anything else, so we now know for sure that at least someone has been having a play at making it. Also The wall is too long to be just a 'front gate' display so it looks like they have in mind to do the full city :D I expect those shelves were covered in models before the camra came along to make the publicity shots, I wonder what else was there...
