LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
Bugbot2008 replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
What if the disney collectible series is geared specifily for girls and uses the dolls figures instead of the regular minifigures? Since all the current disney princesses etc use the dolls system it would make sence for consistency, the range might me made up of characters missing from existing sets such as the fairy godmother, Cinderella's ugly sisters and mother, the witch from Rapunzel (using the new banshee hairpiece maybe), Aladin, Kristoff from frozen etc Would you guys be open to it or would you be disappointed? -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion

Wow I did not expect to see a reuse of the Davy Jones claw! I'll be picking up a few of these for sure Also who also thinks the two ghost figures look like they could be a mr & mrs coupling? -
Excellent! Amazing use of parts
-
Don't think so... I have seen parts from spongebob, Lone Ranger, Star Wars etc, normally uninteresting torsos or legs, it's rare but not unheard of. A long time ago I also spotted the light green helmets from the same ghost soldiers too and luckily picked some up

FYI Ghost soldier heads in lego stores build-a-figure booths (uk London Westfields west)

Nicely done!

Wow that's awesome! Love the detail you put into this

Disneys Atlantis the lost empire, I really liked that movie, it's one of my favourites from my childhood, I think it would've been a great theme if they did it back when it was released; the unique fun characters and the strong vehicle based narrative would heave made for a realy fun collection of sets Trailer:

Nicely done! Good use of parts to sculpt the buildings details

I guess this is the final green light for 3rd party manufactures to go ahead with the new moulds we need?

So a long time ago I decided that the official set of Rivendell although nice in itself was too small and needed an expansion/upgradeto properly capture the look of the location. I used an additional copy of the set along with a few extra parts, hope you enjoy! Like in the film the Council now takes place behind the location of the statue which holds the shards of the sward Narsil on a stone dish. The new council circle is now oval shaped, exactly twice the width of the original, the mechanism for knocking back Gimli has been retained, only it has been repositioned by 90 degrees. See my page for a few extra images: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/413934 Thanks for viewing!

Well the lack of screen time didn't stop them from making the B-wing fighter a UCS set, and I personally off the top of my head can't even recall a singe scene in the OT when that ship was used with any distinction :/

I actually would love to see a UCS droid control ship, I think the design is unique enough to stand out and has lots of details like the engines, the antenna etc and also remember that the 'arms' are two very large hollow hangers so if they detailed the interior with mini landing craft, a mini republic cruser and micro MTT's it could be quite fun to build and display. The core could also open up to sit some minifigures in the bridge.

Awesome work! All the details and subtle design techniques on both Dain and the pig work very well!

Hi everyone Just showing off two recently completed MOC's: a purist custom figure of Bolg and a brick-built Beorn made in the style of a Chima beast. Beorn features 10 points of articulation, and uses the printed eye tile from the Chima Gorilla beast. he is made from 146 pieces. Bolg uses the zombie head and existing Orc shoulder pads, the main thing I would like to change is getting rid of the blue gem on his chest... Thanks for viewing!

Quite disappointed about the result, It was a good opertunity but I understand that they didn't want to waste the spot for something they could release under a lisance/theme they already have. I agree with the sandcrawler/helicarrier comparason, hopefully they have taken the hint and have something in the pipeline, but the obvious hurdle is the absance of the essential gondor helmet :/ The waiting game continues...

They all look lovely, the faces are expertly sculpted

Fantastic model! I will support this too on ideas, you have captured the look of the city very well

MOC: Dwalin - Battle of the Five Armies

Amazing work! -
Very cool! I can see a lot of fun being had with this The bottom floor looks big enough to be a garage, you could put Tony's car in there and make the front window the door :) A party/bar floor and an iron legion maintenance room and other rooms based on Tony's original house (boxing ring), would be great additions too

I share your fondness of Treebeard, and also regret his absence in the orthanc set, but I have to agree with orhers: this series sells on the mini figures and a Treebeard set would not offer any important missing characters. If at the end of the day no Treebeard set gets delivered, I'll upload the LDD file of my design onto moc pages so everyone can copy it. You will have to find a substitute for his eyes tho as I used spares from the orthanc set.

Very nice!! Would be a nice ideas project

Well I had the buildings from the medieval market village set in mind, it was very challenging however to get the split in the roof in the right location, but it's all part of the fun I think The staircase was an afterthought tbh, I had all the parts I needed already so decided to see what I could come up with, I kept it in the end because I like how it folds away so neatly :)
