  1. Very nice, I like these sort of MOC's, very pretty brick pallet and subject
  2. Spotted them in the entertainer in reading (UK) yesterday, two full boxes.
  3. Nice! Great job
  4. Interesting, I guess he doesn't mind if other people recreate his designs for themselves? From his pictures I built myself Cirith Ungol already, making a few modifications on the way to make the gate work in real life etc, I might post pics on here but I'll give him due credit nonetheless.
  5. My first lot of photos seem to have expired, so I have re-uploaded them:
  6. Thanks! I might get some more pics done In the week
  7. Hi everyone Continuing on with my hobbit/lord of the rings creations I would like to reveal my take on the fell beast rode by the ringwraiths from the lord of the rings movies! This took a long time to design to get the scale, articulation, proportions and lego-set aesthetic just rignt for my own taste, but I can finally say I am happy with the result. (Sorry about the poor photo-quality, my room has atrocious lighting ) As you can see the wings use the new mixels joints and have three points of articulation each, enabling this folded/walking posture. they are also used on the neck and hips. The wings were especially tricky as I wanted to keep the part count down and the size reasonably comparable to the great eagle, so I was dead-set on using the bat-man wings. The eureka moment for attaching them came with putting part 6628 into the round hole and using a mixel socket-plate to attach it to the rest of the wing. Thanks for viewing!
  8. Very nice! Love the detail and acuracy
  9. The seagul repainted as a grey pigeon/dove might be nice too... perhaps 3 together next to a bench on the corner of a moduler city building being fed by a minifigure.
  10. New animal: Sheep Repaint: Goat mould in brown/tan, seems such a waste they have not used it again :/
  11. Very nice! Love all the detail
  12. So much character! Love the use of the surfboard
  13. Sorry to bump this old thread again (last time I promise!), but I have a few more figures to show which brings my personal hobbit collection to near completion: Firstly the Masters' assistant Alfrid, who uses parts mostly from the Lone Ranger. Secondly Lake town people for the battle of five armies. Finally Bard's two girls, completing his set of children from the movie. Also I have customized the Goblin King's staff/club to be more like that of the movie, using the cattle skull element and some feathers for detail. Thanks for viewing!
  14. Great use of parts! The octopi used for eyebrows is very inventive!
  15. Lovely :)
  16. I'd like to see more character in the designs of the minifigures, make them look more like individual's with a story, also use all new the drawf beards in new colours etc. I'd like to see more originality with the monsters; I Iiked the old Vikings line for having different types of dragons and the the sea serpent etc, Lego should push the envelope beyond the generic dragon vs knight. Let's have a set with a classic giant or Cyclops wilding a big club smashing a castle turret, or repaint the cave troll green with new printing to make a swamp ogre. Explore Norse, Greek and medieval mythology, how about having a centaur faction?
  17. Nicely done! They both look great
  18. Very nice great job!
  19. Looks fantastic! Just as good as an official lego set!
  20. Haha love it! Great work it looks so real!
  21. Fantastic, love all the details and how everything fits so perfectly! You should put this on ideas :)
  22. The lighting setup works well, well done!
