  1. Just watched the intro. Well, it certainly started off with a blast! I thoroughly enjoyed both episodes (well, the second more than the first) and I agree that it was a lot better than both the Ninjago and Chima season openers (but not quite as good as Ninjago is today). Just some random observations... -The Book of Monsters has a great voice actor, whoever it is. If it's Vincent Tong, kudos to him for sounding completely different from Kai. I generally enjoyed hearing the Book of Monsters talk and I'm really looking forward to hearing him throughout the next episodes. He can be really funny at times, and also evilly manipulative of Jestro at others. - I like how they're playing Jestro as a pawn, but he thinks he's the one in control of the situation. Pretty interesting dynamic, but I hope it's not a retread of the disappointing Chima Cragger/Crooler story arc. Then again, this seems to be a lot better as Jestro is acting of his own free will and just being talked into being a "big bad baddie," as the BoM would say. - The queen is a highly skilled ninja fighter and I 100% support this decision. Also, the king is hilariously bad at... well... being a king. Makes me wish that we got a Queen's Mech set instead and the King gets captured, but that's for the set discussion. - As much as I like Aaron and (kind of) like Axl, I feel like the team could have been just Lance, Clay, and Macy and it would have worked. The other 2 seem a bit superfluous in these two episodes and there's not much to them despite that fact that "Axl eats a lot!" and "Aaron is an adrenaline junkie!" On the contrary, I really like the Lance and Clay rivalry and how Macy's character is being handled. - As much as the show wants me to love Clay, I think my favorite character is actually Macy. She seems to be the most grounded in reality and can hold her own as a fighter. - I love how they made Jestro be friends with Clay. It's really interesting how his morality gets a bit in the way when asked to send monsters after Clay, and it's sickeningly evil (read: I like this) for the BoM to keep coercing him to push away his morality. - The only big bone I have to pick with these episodes are the Nexo Powers. Up until Merlok 2.0 sent the knights the powers, I felt like I was watching a TV series, not a toy commercial. Suddenly, the villains became one hit kills, which really irks me. There was so much buildup about the dark and evil unbeatable monsters, and even the knights were absolutely useless against them, and then come the Toy Ad AND Plot Device Powers Nexo Powers to save the day... eh Anyway, overall looking forward to the next episodes! Does anyone know if this will continue next week with the next episodes? Or will it be put on hold until next year?
  2. Has anyone found it uploaded on any websites yet? The usual suspects don't have Nexo Knights yet... EDIT: Took a few extra hours, but they're up.
  3. This seems like a pretty solid set after reading the review. I was at first a bit off-put by the legs but have grown to like them... As others have said, the bow is the only real downside. The Gatling gun stud shooter doesn't really fit with the bow aesthetic and I would have preferred a spring missile instead like the SW Action Figures... Anyway, nice review and looking forward to the rest!
  4. Yes; I've been trying to reverse engineer it. It doesn't seem that hard to build, I've just been quite busy with the Christmas season and all, but will post if it get it!
  5. Well... kinda. Ronin was mentioned but Nya did not know who he was, so it's safe to say the adventure played out very differently than the game. Although they did mention that volcano... (Although we're probably thinking too deep into this and the only reason the Hagenman Bros made Nya not know Ronin was because they needed to introduce the character.)
  6. To be honest, I have not seen her in an episode yet. I was just going off of other people's word that she was in an episode... Here ;)
  7. I'm not sure if you understand what I meant. Claire is a random character with a backstory created for her to increase play value of a set. The animators decided to use her design as a random character. The Hagenmen Bros state that they know absolutely nothing about this character, and, given they are the writers, is definitely true. The fact that she appeared in an episode as a random background character doesn't mean the Hagenman Bros "lied" to us about knowing she existed - it was just the animators using a random character skin for a completely unimportant and random background character to fill out scenery.
  8. I don't get why...? They've already stated that she's not an important character so I don't see why using her in the background as a random civilian is anything wrong or an error on the Hagenmen Bros' part...
  9. Looks actually pretty "serious" compared to the other trailers, so I guess if that's a good thing (?)Pretty hyped actually after seeing this. Interesting how Merlok was an actual wizard once. Seems like a good plot driver. And what's with that dragon? (Please let there be dragon sets LEGO)
  10. Kinda like this, I guess...
  11. By season I think I meant half season... The one with Ninjaball Run, Pirates, Dareth introduced, etc
  12. I'm wondering if it will be really close to a very focused story season like Possession, ToE, etc or more like our last filler season. To be honest, I actually really liked the last filler season, as it gave us time to learn more about the world, characters, and old enemies as it wasn't too focused on one single enemy. I guess time will tell... Although it'll probably be like the more recent seasons as it has sets to go with it, even if the sets don't have a clear villain...
  13. Pretty excited to watch it on the 13th. While I don't have subscription to CN, I will be checking the usual sites (KissCartoon and AnimeFlavor in particular) for the new Nexo Knights episodes. Kind of odd that it's on a Sunday, though. It seems like it would be more opportune for Lego to have a Saturday marathon given that Saturday is usually when this sort of thing happens.
  14. This is great! The best part for me is actually the hooves; they look really great and I can imagine it clunking around with those feet. Nice job!
  15. BZP has posted a review of Terak, and it's really nice to get a first look at the new sets in a review.
  16. He could be dreaming of the team fighting generic villains, and substituted the Skulkin and Samukai in...
  17. Neat, thanks for sharing. Never seen them do something like this before... First draft, so things may change. Perhaps this is a red herring and is one of the ninja's dreams of the days of fighting crime after being prosecuted and, well, not being able to fight crime anymore. Because the Skulkins are kinda out of the blue... I can imagine right after this scene ends Jay wakes up and sees a wanted poster of himself or something...
  18. Really like this! Pretty detailed compared to the Ninjago ones. I assume all the Knights will get this style of poster... Really looking forward to seeing the rest!
  19. Your Davros looks stellar! Do you mind sending me a PM with the prints? Thank you. Again, really nice job, but I'm worried that the single stud connection for the chair side may be a bit insecure... Does it work out for you?
  20. That's an interesting view... Why do you think this? I personally think CCBS is near-perfect for constraction figures and certainly better than the Gen1 elements, and can't really think of a better system to replace it...
  21. Thanks for sharing this! Fun fact, there's actually a computer virus named GenCrypt so perhaps that too was name inspiration
  22. Belongs in the TV show thread in Lego Media, but thanks for sharing.
  23. I wonder (if there actually is a CMF series) if we will get all 13 regenerations off the bat plus 5 companions or monsters, or they'll split the doctors into 2 series... The ratio if they do all at once is a bit overwhelming, so as much as I want all of them right away, I don't see it happening. Perhaps an even split between doctors and companions+monsters.
  24. Totally agreed. I assume (and hope I'm right) that this won't be anything like the actual episodes and this is just a mini movie ad, like the Ninjago 5(?) minute shorts from 2011, which are about on par with this.
  25. Really hoping this is true and it takes the route of the Simpsons sets with a few really huge D2C sets and CMF series. There's so many characters that can be offered! A good day for all Whovians if this is true.
