Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
DuckBricks replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Interesting. Wonder if it will be one episode per week or a bunch at once, as both have been done in the past. edit - it seems the second episode, “The Jade Princess,” is on Saturday the 27th, so I guess it’s one a week. I actually prefer it like this - it makes seasons feel longer and more fleshed out.- 4,591 replies

Interesting. Shame he doesn’t have the black suit; for those of us looking to complete the gi collection, those are much harder to get than the white suit, which is present in CMFs, Ninjago City, Juniors sets, etc.

What a neat find! That’s gotta be on purpose. I’m interested to see future uses of these parts!

It seems like they’re coming from some sort of catalogue, but the images are all from certain leakers on instagram, so perhaps you could try contacting them. To my knowledge, none of the catalogue leaks come directly from Eurobricks members.

Yeah, there are a bunch of photos on instagram (just search "#legoleaks"). Agreed - Hutchins is totally evil.

Wow, these sets look great - and look much better than the SoG wave. It still amazes me that year after year, leaks are just as bad quality as the last - you'd think that as phones get better, and old phones get more and more obsolete, leakers would actually use, well, semi-quality cameras, but it doesn't look like it's the case. I can barely make out any details on the two larger sets (other than one's a tan building with an animal in front and one's some bulky vehicle with six wheels) and the picture of the two smaller sets was cropped due to instagram's square cropping, which is annoying. I guess there's ups and downs, as I'm pretty sure this is the earliest we've ever seen summer set photos (I know last year we got some leaks of this kind a few days before Toy Fair in February), but this is months ahead of any leaks we've ever gotten for summer, which is nice. An aside - but Tommy Andreasen did hint we'd be learning more about Ninjago politics and their system of government in the next few seasons, so perhaps that's what throne room confrontation is alluding to... Also - if we don't get the Narwhal in the new Ninjago Movie set I riot

LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion
DuckBricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Is it because it’s a retailer exclusive? Were the Shark Mech, Jelly Sub, etc there too? -
Man, sometimes I just don't get this. Boss Baby? Captain Underpants? Despicable Me 3? It seems like they took a list of all the big budget animated movies of this year and snubbed Lego yet again. Are they that adverse to product placements? Then why Cars 3?

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
DuckBricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
It depends - some of the DC Comics ones feature a cowl without a bottom chin guard, with just a printed black chin guard on the face. Just make sure you look out for that and you should be good. -
Was able to pick up all the sets sans Temple of Resurrection at TRU. The Spinjitsu spinners are fun, but I really miss the old spinners - those really felt "Lego" to me in that part of battle involved building on top of your spinner to enhance it. Not sure why that aspect was removed in favor of this design.

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
DuckBricks replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Bit disappointed the FO AT-ST wasn’t a full set (the head was the only cool/New part of it in the movie) and they could have fit in a play feature where the “head” is removed. I’d pay $50 for that. -
Nice find; I'll be keeping my eyes out! Link for anyone interested: https://www.toysrus.com/product?productId=137247546

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
DuckBricks replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Except in the clip they directly attributed their change in looks due to messing around with time travel in the past and not a time jump into the future as we all previously speculated.- 4,591 replies

Yup - I’m totally cool with it; the new hairstyles look awesome in the show and if anything, their eyebrows are more distinctive under the masks- 4,591 replies

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

A preview for Sons of Garmadon has been posted - apparently it was sent out to reviewers. Ignoring the awful cam job, it's shaping up to be a pretty good season - I'm excited to see where we go from here. There are some mild spoilers (mostly the ones concerning why their looks change) so proceed with caution.- 4,591 replies

If so, that's a bit unfortunate - it's a wasted slot of what could have been an easy-to-get exclusive figure people actually have been wanting, like the rest of the Elemental Masters lineup or any of the missing Nya variants. Instead, I guess it'll be like the Sensei Wu figure in the Ninjago book that was completely out of left field...

Thanks for the advice - called ahead at my Lego store and was told it doesn’t come out until Dec 1, and tried again at TRU but was street dated to Dec 1 yet again, sadly.

Are the winter wave sets (Quake Mech, Volcano Lair, Pirahna Chase, Shark Mech, Spinner) releasing tomorrow on the 27th or Dec 1? I’ve seen conflicting things - the sets aren’t on SaH yet, unlike 2018 Nexo Knights, for example, and when the Shark Mech was first announced the release date of Dec 1 was stated, but the November store calendar claims the Quake Mech is releasing tomorrow. Any ideas? I’m trying to plan a trip to the Lego store for the Quake Mech and would rather not go all the way tomorrow for it not to be there, so if anyone has any more info that would be great.

Found all three winter wave TLNM sets out on shelves at TRU today; shame I wasn’t allowed to purchase any until Dec 1, apparently.

72004 Tech Wizard Showdown Pictorial Review

Same; I feel like it would have boosted the emphasis on the shared color scheme and would have been a fresh new look to separate out last year’s even more.- 28 replies

72004 Tech Wizard Showdown Pictorial Review
DuckBricks replied to DuckBricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Huh, I must be going crazy then - I could’ve sworn that it was a generally common part, which is why I didn’t mention it in my review, but now that I think of it, yeah, perhaps I haven’t seen it before. Sorry for the confusion! Here’s some photos: Here’s the only photo of other sets present in the instructions, which seemed odd to me, but here it is. Too bad Lance’s Hover Jouster is a bit hard to make out; it looks like an interesting and fun build though!- 28 replies

I’ll scan them in, but the only picture of Lance’s Hover Jouster was really small unfortunately- 28 replies

72004 Tech Wizard Showdown Pictorial Review
DuckBricks replied to DuckBricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I might be really confused as to what people are all talking about - it’s just a pretty common part that curves underneath two elements. Perhaps we are thinking of two different things? And the nexogon is the same blue as the other blue highlights; I’m not a color expert but I guess that’s Dark Azure?- 28 replies

72004 Tech Wizard Showdown Pictorial Review
DuckBricks replied to DuckBricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Yeah, I’ll be making reviews as I find them, but that’s the only one there so far. I might be a bit confused as to what you’re referring to, but it is just a 2x2 underside curve element that is relatively common- perhaps you’re seeing something I’m not? Yeah, the robotic face is a big plus for me. Thanks for checking out the review!- 28 replies

Darn! Haha - good thing those aren’t really significant new prints anyway and just different parts mixed and matched.- 28 replies
