Thank you for all of the comments. I'm glad y'all liked it how so? it's suppose to be pumping equipment, I will admit that the greebles do kind of get in the way of the platform moving straight up and down, but i figured they looked pneumatic enough to work underwater while i'm at it, i'll also admit that hannibal's double is actually in the cockpit on the halfway down shot, oops Guy could be in there as one of the ones with a hat, but i don't have your hair or torso so we'll have to go different outfit and a hat for now.

Looking back, because the water technique is very flexible, some stacked clear rounds might have worked really well to show the water splashing up with the whale. Wish I had thought of it last week... Thank you for all of the comments so far

Location: H09 - Wastyria Tags: Vehicle, Spaceship, Water vehicle, Exploration, Science, Civil, Military Within the O.C.S. Axle, the Octan crew meet up aboard one of the landing craft specifically designed for their sudden fury of oceanic explorations. As Dr. Long explains, this craft includes a small dry dock designed to quickly deploy a variety of exploration craft. The crew are both pleased with the new equipment and disturbed at the sight of Dr. Long with her hair down. Pilot John Hannibal is the first to field test the new dry dock. He readies his new sub for a mission to capture a new species of whale and/or fish discovered on H09. This beast has a very tough skin that allows it to land on and roll from the sharp, jagged rocks of the island shores. Once studied and replicated, it could mean a great tactical advantage to the Octan merchantmen, should conflict arise. PLATFORM 1 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr The deck lowers the sub into rising water. Soon, the bay will be full and the sub can proceed forward. Thank you for all of the kind comments. I did add a short description if you missed it earlier. No, just an adaptation of this I did use 1x2 plates around the outside to make it a little sturdier. Underneath there are only a few plates and/or bricks holding up the middles of the nets. Can I please get a Mod to change the title to "[Challenge 1] [O - H09] Chicken for Dinner"? Thank you.

Location: H09 Two pink seabirds forage the cliff side for material for their nests. Their chicks are expected soon but they will freeze without more insulation. Out of desperation, the mother and father birds descend further and further down the cliff side, closer to the water. [Challenge 1] - BASE by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr Then, out of nowhere, the great Rockback Whale of Wastyria burst out of the water and gobbles up the male bird. Happy Father's Day AG.

@marku22 - can you build something for G03? We've been doing a western theme there, so desert environment, landscape only, no minifigures/buildings/ships

amazing work. the pose on the bird makes it really come to life

Bob, Please purchase "Domination for Dummies" for Mediumsnowman and Pombe for having the best figs on their plates.

This is an issue with the domination rules, not a problem with when domination points are awarded. Whoever has the most DP should control the planet, but the corp that owns it first should get some reward (like the resource bonus). They should also get to build from that planet if they hold it at the end of the week. However, if another corporation has more DP on a planet, the first corporation should not be able to own it/build from it. Edit: @Mark - corporate ranks are based on earned credits, not unspent credits.

1 - no, i don't want every post to end up on sunday night 3 - this doesn't make sense from a story point of view, most builders would be on the outlying planets, not the home planet, but maybe resources could be delayed until the chain is restored (that at least wouldn't completely disrupt the game play and builds that are already in progress)
-
cool droid and nice lava effect FYI, I'm sure the illustrious MANTIS knows this, but the builds seem to be scored in order, so I'm pretty sure whoever gets to 30 DP first will dominate A06 and get the Biomass bonus (which Kawashita desperately needs). And Kawashita will have to then get at least 60 DP on A06 to take it back. Good luck.

Location: F09 - Aruim Minor Tags: Vehicle, Spaceship, Exploration Nothing... Abundant Wastelands - 2 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr There is nothing here. So bleak. So empty. The corporation will be happy with it. Awesomnium is just oozing from every pore of this mountain. But it'll just be another miners town. Booming, busting, being left for dead. Abundant Wastelands - MAIN by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr Getting back into the pilot seat is bitter sweet. After checking in with the new CEO on Kaalin (awesome name) it's been a long quiet couple of days getting over to Aruim Minor. The engineer I delivered equipment too was plenty chatty; so much so that it completely overwhelmed me and I'm afraid that I might have come off as rude to the humble man. Abundant Wastelands - SHIP TOP by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr All of these trips, they wear a man down. I thought contracting with Octan was going to be a welcome reprieve from the constant constraints of being a family man. No fires to put out every evening. No second job as soon as I get home. Octan... that would be the answer to all of my problems. A great paycheck. A happy wife at home with all the latest gadgets to keep the house clean, food cooked, and diapers changed. A quiet bunk at night to get some real rest. Abundant Wastelands - SHIP SIDE by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr That never happened. The peace, the rest, the security of it all. I traded the thing I love most for some thoughtless ambition for the future. I have to get them back. Surely there is somewhere in the new galaxy where he can be with my family. It will be tough. My career will take a hit. But this could be everything we've dreamed of. I WILL find that place. We WILL find our home. My purpose is renewed. My mission is clear. Abundant Wastelands - BASE by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr I am consumed.

We'll tell you after you join. It's both clever AND devious. Don't worry, Octan is for messy people, too. Look at Wick's hair.

Please transfer resources to the training facility on I06 and take out life insurance policies on all new recruits. -Octan interim CEO

Octan Training Facility: Yetornius, southern pole Carved out of the super-heated rock of Yetornius, Octan's new training facility houses two contained habitats and access to flora and fauna of I06's own inhabitants. Each enclosure provides new hires with limitless dangers and trials at the hands of the galaxies most feared inhabitants. While nobody is quite sure what interim CEO John Hannibal deposited inside of the damp, jungle bioshere of Containment 1, the student's can't help but see the hungry sand worm slithering beneath the surface of Containment 3. The campus is powered by an adjacent river of lava, houses thousands of new applicants (graduates few), has personal quarters and landing platform for the company CEO, and room for the comings and goings of the companies starship fleet, their pilots, scientists, explorers, drivers, and military personnel.

great moc, you'll have to change the location, though. we can only build on planets adjacent to the planets we've dominated. right now, that is g08, h08, h07, i06, h04, g06, and g06. look over those planets and nicely ask a moderator to change your title for you. thanks for building for us.

They are encouraged! Down with yellows
