  1. One more would be fine. Then the rest to H07. If you're building for this week and can't make the switch over to H07, let us know so you can get that last spot on H05. Great work so far guys
  2. That's right, we could pay bob to be CEO, like any sensible corporation.
  3. If we can switch planets before judging, H07 would be perfect for this. Also, if all 12 remaining builders can get an entry for H07 in by this week's deadline, we'd be in a really good position on Monday. I've got a map sketched out with what I think is a good 5 week strategy but I really don't want to post it here. I'm sure Bob is busy, so are there any other Octan employees able to set up a group PM? If so, here's a list of our members so far... bob de quatre boxerlego chewbacca2503 comrade commander dannylonglegs epic technic garmadon goatman461 headbrick horsleben jody meyer kai nrg lord vladivus mediumsnowman mrfuture msx80 pombe shmails space terrapin wicknole zaael
  4. I think focusing on one planet at a time will give us quicker results, but we should probably keep a secondary objective in mind so we don't waste builds once a planet is dominated. For now until 0900 Friday, I think we need one or two more builds on H05, then post for H07. No builds should be posted between Friday's deadline and Monday's results because that'll be included in the new week and those builds should focus on the next stage of planets. After we are awarded H05, we can start posting for H04 or I06. Does that make sense? I hope I'm not coming off as bossy; just trying to make sure everybody is on the same page. Also, just a suggestion, to help keep track of our progress, would everybody please add the planet sector code and "Octan" in their tags so they're easier to find.
  5. Cyborg ninja is cool Removes Octan's dead weight White, Red trees look nice ..get it?
  6. Thanks for clarifying
  7. very lively scene and great presentation
  8. great job with the equipment and stream of awesomnium
  9. great color scheme and NPU with the droid heads
  10. great use of space, it's surprising how much you were able to convey in that area
  11. cool ship, very smooth and great use of the color scheme do we need to send a rescue mission?
  12. great transition between sections of the ship, the legs are really cool, as is the drone. talk to BEAVeR or Bob about rendering; they're the pros I know of.
  13. If someone were to post a build on H04 this week, before 0900 GMT Friday, and (obviously) before points are awarded to dominate H05 on Monday, would their build be allowed and counted for this week?
  14. Great looking builds Octan. I think we will need between 7-12 builds per planet (depending on how generous the judges are) to make sure we dominate it; so far we have 7 on H05. One or two more builds should solidify us on H05 this week if we can muster them. For those that haven't posted a build yet - keep them flexible in case the judges award our points and we can move on to H04 [plains.mountains/large oceans], I06 [lava/rocks], or (if we're sure we have enough points to take H05 but have to wait on judging) go after H07 [mountains/forest/oceans]. Also, consider building scenes in space/orbit, so that they can take place above any of those planets. Weekly deadline is Friday at 0900 GMT For those that have posted a build - thank you, and be patient, we have until the 28th to post new builds. That should be plenty of time for the judges to award points for H05 and for us to discuss our further strategy. My build is going to be something of a supply ship with security hanging out on the side of the ship if anybody wants to collaborate. I can't promise that I'll have your sigfig, but I'll try.
  15. Thank you. But, be careful... I'm a pilot so this is a flying machine, not a land vehicle as a hovercraft may be considered.
  16. Does judging take place at a specific time or on an ongoing basis? I've got another shot of my build that still needs editing and I want to get it posted before points are awarded.
  17. I went for H05 because the route to the mithril includes both water and biomass. If we feel that we need to get copper first, it'll just take 5 planets to get there (instead of the 4 it'd take to get to mithril first) If you start building for a heavily treed area, it could represent either the jungles of H05 or the forests of H07, which will give us some flexibility while we get a secure channel up and decide on tactics. We're only invested with 2 builds on H05, so changing course won't be a huge problem. We also need to discuss alliances with the other corporations, as this should heavily influence our route. Going for copper immediately could put us into open conflict with Kawashita very quickly, but MANTIS doesn't seem to threaten the mithril, much. In the meantime, I'm working on a transport ship... image by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr This is just the cockpit and forward gunner seat. I hope y'all don't mind me posting WIPs from time to time. Many eyes (and brains) are better than one. I'm always open to suggestions
  18. This makes those rebel scouts look cool, despite their silly hats. Great job. What torso do the jetpack rebels have?
  19. Thank you
  20. It is hard to get a good look at the bot but there is some nice part usage from what I can see
  21. Great shot
  22. Great clean build. The windshield connection bugs me a little but doesn't take away from the boat. Great editing too
  23. Nice representation of awesomnium. Interesting accessories
  24. Great shape. I like the back end but I think the front could be a bit smoother. The controls are interesting
  25. That's a great water technique
