Nice build. Cool tree, great minfig placement as well!

I think it was fun and the instructions do a good job of using colors to differentiate sections (the internal red colors). Also when you get to the point you are building subsections to place on the helmet the shapes fit together pretty well like tetris. The hardest thing is just when putting together some sections you will accidently place a piece that shifts the build left instead of right. Definitely pay attention of orientation when building the sections and when you place them. Make sure the pieces look correct around your placement and it will hep you catch errors. I definitely plan on doing the Boba Fett in the future.

I remember for years just hoping someone posted MOCs of Star Wars helmets so I could build them! I'm glad Bricker Builds started selling the instructions to these. It was a fun build with good instructions. I advise you to take a double check when you are putting the assemblies together and have placed them. I had to backtrack once 200 steps because I had shifted a section one slot! You can get the instruction for this helmet here . I plan on doing the Boba Fett helmet next :)

Wow looks great! -
So many "buildings" get to that 10k number I hope one day Lego realizes they can probably release more then one modular a year or add to that in another way. Maybe last year's Haunted House and the new Ninjango City Gardens is in recognition for that? If not I hope they get the hint :)

Great scene! Lots of minifig variation. I wonder how many different SW aliens I have around...

Great build and great in depth story! -
*Your entry has earned 8 XP* As Kirwin stared down the hill from the safety of a cave, he went over the last few moments in his head. Heading to his next mission collection point, a battle between a Y-wing and another star fighter had flared over his head. Well, not a battle really since it seemed like the Y-wing pilot was surprised because they never had the chance to shoot back. The Y-wing had crashed into the facility he was supposed to visit next! Why was the battle here, so close to these coordinates? Were others looking for the same information he was? Should he continue to the facility or check back with HQ? And most importantly, where had that blasted B13 gone off to during the ruckus? Wrecked y wing

*Your entry has earned 5 XP* Part 1:Link Part 2:Link (I remembered how to make the portraits the same size lol) Kirwin: This is the last office on this side of the facility. B13: There are even more of those weird plants in here. Maybe we should leave? Kirwin: We have a mission. What were you saying about bettering the galaxy? Anyway, I think I see the datapad on the desk. I'll check. B13:*Turns around* WAIT! It seems there are security measures active in the room! Don't cross that... *BLARING ALARMS* Guard Droid: HALT! Prepare to be detained in the most painful way possible! Kirwin: Most painful way possible? When was this droid's last upgrade? B13 can you talk any sense into them? B13: Um, excuse me! We must have taken a wrong turn so we'll be on our way! Kirwin: That's lame - even I could have thought of that one! B13: What do you want me to talk about? Power converters? Guard droid: Too much talking. Time for blasting! Wait, what's that noise....ACK! B13: SEE! I TOLD YOU THOSE PLANTS WERE DANGEROUS! We need to get out of here! Kirwin: YIKES! I've got the datapad let's get out of here!

*Your entry has earned 4 XP* Part 1 here: Link Kirwin: Great job getting that door open! Looks like this facility has not been used for a really long time! Now we just need to find that datapad! B13? Are you listening to me? B13: There is another one of those weird plants. I have a bad feeling about this. Looks like the jungle has invaded this facility. Kirwin: B13 focus please! It's just a plant! If it bothers you that much let's start our search in the other direction. At least the facility still has power so we don't have to search in the dark! B13: Yes! Let's go that way! I feel like these plants are watching me! Kirwin: Oh, is that what your sensors are telling you? B13: No, just my droid intuition! Kirwin:... B13:Let's continue the search!
-
*Your entry has earned 4 XP* B13: Well I'm glad your long vacation is over. Just in time too! We've been sent on an important mission to find a datapad with an important map on it. The front office said something about a holocron! Kirwin: Great! Er, Holocrons? I think I remember hearing stories about that in school but really aren't we in this for the adventure? B13: No, we are in this to make money for food and spare parts and also to make the galaxy a safer place. Kirwin: Well of course, those things also! But also, ADVENTURE! Anyway, the mission report coordinates said the old facility was around here somewhere! Let's look around! B13: Look! Through the trees I see a door. *STARES* I also see some weird looking plants. I don't have these in my records so be careful! Kirwin: Well, the mission report does not mention anything about dangerous fauna so I think we'll be ok B13. Stop worrying! B13: *Mumbles* That's what you said about that Krayt dragon...

So first let me say I really enjoyed this set. It looks great, it is a great size and it was very challenging for my 2nd larger MOC build. Overall great experience and great help from OP. Any nitpicks I discuss are just there to help future builders, etc. First some final pictures (I know those side wings go up a bit I just forgot to move them for the picture!) Also that small monitor is there to test work stuff lol - I know it is a wack size :) I added some plates to the bottom rear and a little something at the front for stability. I added a brick and plate in the below picture to bridge the gap for that piece to be more stable when you are placing the two engine assemblies. And there was a few places where I added one plate where connections were inset. As far as my above post - after some more tries I was able to get the whole 4 connections to click which made the bottom side assembly more secure. The one above it (pictures follow) - you can see it is flush on all sides and the top 2 connections do not fully go in. This means the bottom 2 connections definitely do not have the reach so the foundation can be a bit here or there especially as the motor assembly and the side gun assemblies also butt up against this section. Last but not least, I know you said this was swooshable but I'm gonna have a hard time dusting it! This set really taught me the pros/cons on how MOCs create certain shapes and forms and some of the things you sacrifice for a great looking set. Thanks again!

It is very challenging to keep the angled assemblies between the side and bottom engines from falling off. Even though they each are supposed to connect to 4 pins due to the angled nature I can't imagine anyone can get 4 solid connections. Maybe something to think on :)

Np - I appreciate the help and glad we are working out the small issues in this great model :)
