  10. Purchased. Looks like BL autobuy is a bit expensive atm so I'll try to be more picky but excited for the build. :)
  11. Nice looking ship! Also flyable by a cat which is probably a bonus (unless any important buttons look like a laser point...)
  12. Hiya! So my char has a "utility belt" equipped which give +1 engineering. Should I reflect that in my char stats or is that for the MM to notice when they do their rolls? Thanks!

  14. Um...hello! Glad you don't have to wait any longer I guess. Kirwin continues fiddling with the device.
  15. Kirwin looks startled that some one had come up to him. He looks around to make sure they were actually talking to him. He realizes that someone has put a mission on the board since he has arrived. "Oh...um..no thanks. I'm just going go over there and...um..sign up for that new mission if that's ok! Kirwin signs up for Mission 4.
  16. Thanks, I forgot about that. Never heard of that show before though.
  17. Kirwin walked into the hotel. This place was much different then the station he had lived his entire existence on. Or at least as far back as he could remember. Also, there were so many people! He had never seen a person on his station for the many MANY years he had lived there. Luckily, there were thousands and thousands and thousands of hours of technical manuals to read and a really large library of some ancient action adventure show called "The Adventure Squad Hour". He had read and watched those items so many times he knew every little detail by heart. Good thing since to survive he had to constantly repair stuff on the station. This place was different. There were plenty of people around. It made him uncomfortable but he had a goal now. Adventure. He had spent his downtime watching adventure after adventure. Now he wanted to have adventures of his own. Hmm. Speaking of people some were staring at him now! Ah, his technical helmet! He forgot to take it off! People may be more at ease if he was not wearing it. He sat down at a table that was empty and took his helmet off. Kirwin glanced around. He recalled reading about the establishment in the library. He remembered reading about the job board bit it seemed empty for now. He shrugs and takes out a small item from his pack and begins taking it apart at the table.

  19. My point was to have a pre-order time period and create all the units that get ordered. The key concepts here are cost and time to manufacture the items. Lego can know both for a set number of pre-order. Overseas figure companies have had this figured out for awhile. Collectors are fine waiting 6 - 9 months for figures if the company reliably delivers. So, not much difference in these examples. I highly doubt Lego are taking a loss on these designer series sets.
  20. It feels they really underestimated the demand for Ideas sets. Even the 2 that did not make the cut only missed because the others hit the min limit first. Another week and they all would have made it most likely and definitely hit the max within 40 days. It seems Lego could make extra money if they just created small batches of ALL the Ideas sets that make it through the 10k and had creators willing to go through this design type process. They could still pick Ideas sets to mass produce but allow pre-orders for the ones that don't make it, money up from just like a lot of figure companies do like Good Smile, AmiAmi etc etc. Even T-shirt companies have shirts where they'll throw up a design and they won't produce it unless a certain number purchase the shirt.
  21. I was able to get the parrot and the fishing boat. Misses the castle. I have no idea why they would allow 5 per person. Leave it at one initially and if they still don't have the 5 sets to 3k after a week then allow multiple orders. Also prices were not as bad as I feared so at least happy about that.
  22. Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
