@JayCal nice redesign! The only change I would make to your engine would be removing the window section at the rear. Its important that the battery box stays situated above the motor for maximum tractive effort! @Black Knight *l e n g t h*

I think TLG missed an opportunity with the station though… instead of a bus they should’ve made an electric vehicle similar to the ones in the freight set! Also, I get revisiting the “rerailer” ramp piece… but instead of refreshing the market with a single one in the set, now the market will be oversaturated! I’m liking the passenger train though (despite having to get the arbitrary 2x). I don’t dislike the color scheme, but I do want to build an alternate color version… its just a shame that the giant 8x1x3 slope only exists in two other colors at the moment. According to BrickLink, one could theoretically substitute the pieces in that white stripe with dark green ones… Lastly, if the coaches are built on the newer 1/2 well-car bases… one could also extend the length of their coaches from 6x34 up to whatever length doesn’t sag onto the rails… like maybe 6x68?

[WIP] Lego monorails. [Custom Rail Systems (CRS)]

@Buttermaker What are you using for the rail contacts? -
Ugh, just wanna see the passenger train and station already! Will they be largely disappointing, or somewhat palatable...?
-
@Toxic43 Oh man, if that part was also available in trans black that would be perfect!!

I’m pretty sure its just regular yellow. From the original (grainy) side profile image we got a while back, I was really hoping that the yellow curve of the cab was actually made up of this piece: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=76795&name=Brick, Round Corner 5 x 5 with Slope 45 Edge without Studs&category=[Brick, Round]#T=C But the rim would be black, either by sticker or printing so as to match the rest of the cab… TLG’s use of those giant arch pieces makes the loco look chunky/ unnecessarily boxy imho Fingers crossed for the passenger train and station…!

The logo could be on the back of the torso...?

Rumors can be wrong... I wish the leaked image was wrong lol but hey
-
but… a UCS-sized HW Express is something new…
-
TLG was hoping to entice y‘all with that $4 69 though…
-
I agree… it feels like its either shoot yaself in the foot or play the waiting game with lego sets these days…

Watch the rumor mill spiiiiiinnnn

A Question to Anyone who's Ordered the BMR T-1
M_slug357 replied to Andalo_an's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Maybe its been difficult to source the parts? I bought some wheels & knuckle couplers from them right before the holidays and there was no issue. -
Its difficult w/o any leaks because then I don’t know how much money I want to squirrel away…!

Train stuff on Ideas getting approved? Forget it!

A farm train you say…? *inserts shameless self promotion* https://ideas.lego.com/projects/0bde23d8-17e6-4de1-8430-bcac974ffefa

@Djmojo but like... whyyy though...?
-
While a lower price certainly isn’t unwelcome, it does seem slightly suspicious (at least to me). Does this mean we’ll be getting less train per pound…? ugh… cant wait for the photo splash, especially if we might be getting a green passenger train set!

Considering Lego trains, do people want more platforms or more stations? It does make some (american?) sense to have more platforms with a hint of pedestrian sheltering as opposed to a costly full-blown station…
-
I hope the new station comes with some extra straight tracks though... It'll be interesting to see if TLG makes an "official connection" between the existing train tracks and the new road system, considering that the rail height is 3 plates' tall but the newer roads are 2 plates' tall. I'd say the easy way out would be to use 2x2 curved slopes to bridge the gap?
-
Droid arms are a step in the right direction, but they *do* become fragile over time… I think if TLG came up with a new sliding door piece that could accept one of the pre-existing glass pieces, that would be ideal!
-
@Tube Map Central the creep factor is palpable now that you mention it... maybe if WB did a remake of the movie, it could get a Lego set out of it then...?
-
I do understand your frustration with the IDEAS platform @Pendra37! Honestly I just want to get my concept out there to see how viable it is... Can this reach 10k? I sure hope so!
