[MOC] Adventurers; Secret Desert Tomb
LegoMathijs posted a topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
While busy with another LEGO project, I felt the need to build a Adventurers MOC One of my favorite theme's. This MOC is based on the Adventurers Egypt theme of 1998. Johnny Thunder has found a secret tomb in the dangerous desert of Egypt. Maybe this tomb should hide a treasure....... [MOC] KOMATSU 951
LegoMathijs replied to LegoMathijs's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
As promised the pictures of the improved version of the Komatsu 951± I´ve tried larger wheels, it looks great to the model, but in comparisson with my Komatsu forwarder, the 951 is a bit too high. I have decided to shorten the chassis two studs to shorten the distance between the wheels. And I've shorten the cabin. It looks better now. The model isn't scale 1:25 any more. It's a bit smaller now and it looks better to me now. A picture of the improved version: 02_KOMATSU_951 by LegoMathijs, on Flickr- 6 replies

[MOC] KOMATSU 951
LegoMathijs replied to LegoMathijs's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for your advice M_longer I've tried the wheels. It looks great to the model. But with the correct wheels the machine gets to high in comparisson with my Komatsu 895 forwarder Photo of the Komatsu 895: 01_KOMATSU_895 by LegoMathijs, on Flickr I've built it also in approx. scale 1:25. In "real" this forwarder is larger than the Komatsu 951 harvester. I've decided to attach the smaller wheels to the 951 and shorten the chassis two studs. I've also shorten the cabine and it looks better now Soon I'll post new pictures of the rebuilded version- 6 replies

This 1:25 scale harvester is the KOMATSU 951. It’s a brand new and the biggest harvester of KOMATSU Forest. I’ve decided to build this harvester to display in my KOMATSU Forest layout (which I post soon). I’ve built as much as functions of the real 951 harvester in my model. It took 1,5 month to build this model. I’ve built the following functions: · Suspension with central pivot · Telescopic boom · KOMATSU S172 head (which can rotate like the real one) · Ladder for enter the cabin · Rotating operators seat · Door can be opened · Rotating cabin · Possible to stabilize the cabin when driving on sloping surfaces · AGCO Power 74 engine Pictures: 01_KOMATSU_951 by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 02_KOMATSU_951 by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 03_KOMATSU_951 by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 08_KOMATSU_S172_head_and_telescopic_boom by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr KOMATSU S172 head 11_cabin_hinge_sideways by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 12_cabin_hinge_forwards by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 15_overview_functions_KOMATSU_951 by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr Overview of functions Hope you like it

My first MOC for Eurobricks' Andromeda's Gates. I've designed a mining vehicle for M.A.N.T.I.S corporation. The Tracked Chrome Driller can be used at different kinds of terrain, such as rocks, ice, desert, and forests to mine ores. I've started mining at planet D04. I've found a small place at planet D04 which contains many ores. Hope to find some interesting and usefull ores which I can use to make powerfull mining equipment. Soon I create more mining equipment
