Looks realy cool. Great to see all those from your previous topics all together. Like it, all those people doing all kind of stuff, all those tools, equipment and other details, just great. Only the tv-area thinks it's a bit weird. Maybe an idea to make it a bit more 'seperate'? Or maybe an floor like bamsham363, it's high enough... I see you have some lightbars on the ceiling. Maybe you can make those realy work? Would be cool. Otherwise you could make a small edge on the ceiling and hide a ledstrip behind it.

Like already said ... great story and great builds. Like the creations and also the story. Sadly the posttruck (like the design, bit '50, ';60's style?) had an accident but fortunely the 'workhorse' came to rescue.

the Roof looks a bit odd (the corners?) but the rest ... building looks great. Also like the small stream with the watermill and the small bridge.- 15 replies

I can't see the photo's here but I've seen them on your flickr account... looks good. Especially like the brown 'stripes' (rust effect I guess) on the hull. It looks like an old, what we called, 'rustbucket'. Great job. Also I've seen the temple in the jungle. Looks a bit Mexican or that area? Looks great with all the apes, the vegetation and stuff. Really cool is the waterfall. Maybe even cooler with some running lights behind it to simulate the falling water?

Well this is really great. Thanks Now I've made a wishlist an already add some parts to see how it's works. It's still pretty much work to 'find' the parts but it's only for once. Then you only have to choose a shop wich have the most parts and have the best price right? I wish I knew this before ...
-
For my moc I've already ordered some parts from several shops (found on Bricklink site). I've chosen some shops, wich had some 'special' parts, looked what they have and so on I choose two where I ordered the parts. It was a long search and also to order the parts. My own 'way' costs a lot of time and after all there always shops who doesn't have it all I needed. I would like to know how can I easy/easier order parts? And another question ... how do you know what parts you need? I made a model with MLcad, ordered some parts and starting building with those parts and the parts I already have. Now I have made a copy of my model and 'erase' the parts I already have, so I can 'see' what I still miss. I quess my idea is not the most handy wat so ... What do you think of that idea and / or are there other ways wich are handier ? I like to know how you do it?

[MOC] 42 FERRARI 312 F1 67
neonic replied to andrepinto's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Really cool build. First I thought why white exhausts instead of grey but I just see the real one on Google Very amazing all those details, espacially the engine part. the Golden rims fits great, even the model of it looks much the same. Great underground too. It has a 'old' look, matching good with the age of the car. -
What lighting devices to illuminate your diorama projects?
neonic replied to MTBingNinja's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've a ledstrip in front of my collection of bottles. They can change colors too. You have many variations of those ledstrips, maybe it's an idea for your diorama? They give a lot of light and are very low in use of power. Or .. maybe you can use some CCFL lights, they use a lot in computers, for casemodding. I used them in my car. Thinks those are better than the lightstrip because the CCFL's gives more equally light. To power it you could use a batterybox or you could use a poweradapter. -
Looking very cool I see also you used some yellow flags as 'plant' or ... great. Very creative use of parts and the colors looks also great, very colorfull. I like the base too, looks good with the 'wood' and golden ornaments. Only it's maybe an idea to use transparant clips instead of the grey to hold the fish.

Looks great. So much details too. Like also the colors. Nice boats too

I reconise those houses, I've seen them before in a topic. Looks very great, all those details and colorscheme. Like the whole display.
-
Sorry, I didn't know it was inspired from some existing thing. I never heard of it so ... I thought you made it up Like I said, really cool, espacially the color/details combination. And thanks for the link of that weird skeleton thing I found it on Bricklink, and gonna see where I can order them, together with the rest of the parts for my car. It only has a little disadvantage ... I've found even more cool stuff I want haha

MOC Mechanic's garage warehouse with Speed Champions influence
neonic replied to MTBingNinja's topic in LEGO Town
Looks great all those tools and stuff, great engineblock too. I realy like the car too, looks coool (reminds me too a Camaro or something like that) The only thing you miss is a garage to put it all the cool stuff in. -
Like he said, great build with all those details and colorscheme. Also nice detail, those 'oldschool' knights on the right I've got some of those too. They are realy old haha
-
It's a bit strange building, a kind of tower with a 'house' on it? But it looks realy cool. I like the shape, the colorscheme and all those details. Also the cannons on the roof (roof itself is great too) and the little stairs cut out of the rocks looks great. Also the little white details ... looks cool, but ... what is it??? I've never seen it. Want some of those for on my truck

Interesting topic I think... I'm not religious myself and don't care too. Also I don't care if someone is. I respect that. I can imagine that Lego don't wanted to make a religous set for some reason. They also don't make anything related to war. However ... I don't see the problem when they make a set of a famous church or mosque. For example the dom of cologne is very famous and reconisable, or the Aya sophia in Instanbul, wich I believe it was a church and now a mosque, However, those structures are very cool as a set. If it's all about / against religion ... they also made the Taj Mahal, in India. Well, it's not a church or mosque but it has a lot of Arabic elements. This has nothing to do with religion. There always people who hate ... whatever. Things like those landmarks is great. They are very reconisable and typical. I like too see more of those.

Do you have brown rims? Maybe is that an options (without the tyres)? a Kind of modern 'wooden' wheels.

MLCad - highway rigs
neonic replied to neonic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I don't know what you mean with the slope... it's part 2875 and that part has only a ridge in the middle so above and under it there is place for ... the clips. Meanwhile I've made some changes, some small ones but it looks better imo. -
I've seen this plant a while ago, looking for some inspration, looks cool. I like the whole build and think it would be great to be a set. It fits with the trains but in the town it looks great as well. I think it's an idea to make a 'line' of it. I mean some kind of basemodel/set with some expansionsets, so you can expand the plant. How about a harbor set? ps. I think the train/truck part is a bit 'squeezed. I think a few studs wider would be nicer (and saver it's a dangerous envirement).
-
To be honest I think it 'fits' in the street between the other buildings. However, the building itself looks great. the Colors, the 'wood' tiles and the interior. It has a old, rustic kind of look. I think it looks better as a stand alone building near the beach, with some old boats and stuff. But that's my idea/opinion. Like I said, great build, cool colors/details

MLCad - highway rigs
neonic replied to neonic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hope not the photo's are too big? For some reason I've some trouble with the upload when selecting the resolution. Here is another shot from my MOC, actually it's a remake of the Higway rig of Model team. I already made the original in MLCad, made a copy of it and change the design a little bit. For another truck I already build a kind of generator, powered by a engine. For this truck it was a bit too big so I removed the 'generator' part and kept only the engine block and made some changes and add some parts. Here is the whole truck, a lowloader with the engineblock. I also add some warning flags and flashing lights on the truck itself. the Trailer is inpired by the model of drdesignz. I liked his trucks and trailers so I made such a trailer for my truck. I couldn't resist to add some things to it like the flashinglight, flags and some tools but I still kept it a bit 'clean'. I also added the same bumper as the rig to match.
