  1. Thank you! The video was extremely straight forward and well produced. I don't think I will need to contact you, because you made it very easy. But if I have any trouble, I will be sure to let you know!
  2. Well, that is awesome. Thanks so much for sharing the video! Very well done, and definitely inspires me to do it.
  3. Here my own haul pic, with a slightly different take on it. I went ahead and set up the rollercoaster pieces, since I wanted to see how it look. Also got four rollercoaster cars, some popcorn, and about 150 "teeth" for eventually motorizing the pirate coaster.
  4. Do you have any photos or examples of what you did to make it motorized? The setup is looks great! Love the lighting. Never thought to put the Silent Mary next to the Pirate Coaster.
  5. Shazam! (or Captain Marvel, for us purists) has always been known as "The Big Red Cheese." Since the 70s, they've played up the campiness factor to a variety of different levels in the comics. Sometimes it's a bit campier than others. In the 40s and 50s (he wasn't published from the mid-50s until early 70s), he had some pretty serious and hardcore stories (especially for the time). But there was plenty of camp in there, too. Some of the villains he faced were pretty cheesy when you look at them. Some of the concepts were pretty cheesy as well (e.g., Hillbilly Marvel being one of his supporting characters). Cap has generally been portrayed in the modern era as being a more light hearted character, a little immature at times (because, you know, he's a boy in a man's body). So I think this movie is playing toward that. I've been a Captain Marvel/Shazam fan since I was a wee lad 40 years ago. I'm loving that they are bringing him to the big screen. I'm really looking forward to this film, but understand if you aren't familiar with the property, you're probably scratching your head a bit.
  6. I wouldn't write it off as a total failure. You did something only 15 other people did! That's pretty damn impressive.
  7. Look at 80101 for Asian food. I noticed quite a few in there.
  8. Last week, three Shazam! Funko Pops were reveal at New York Toy Fair, and two of them should be considered very spoilery for the movie. So it's entirely possible that whatever LEGO is doing could be spoilery. I also haven't seen anything in the merchandising for this movie as of yet, so maybe they just haven't push anything out yet? To include a (hopeful) LEGO set?
  9. Thanks for the heads up. I placed an order yesterday (no doubt placed before some of you find some really cool pieces that I'll have wished I ordered). I'll post a haul pic when it arrives. Mostly roller coaster parts, though.
  10. Yes, I was hoping for LDD. I suppose Stud.io would work, too, although I haven't dabbled in it yet really. It's not so much that I want the instructions, but I wanted to sketch out a structure around it for the set to sit on.
  11. Has anyone worked up 31084 Pirate Roller Coaster yet?
  12. I quite like those! I loved the Mondasian Cyberman. I feel like it's very appropriate. Curious to know what parts you used to make the Delgado Master. He looks great! I really need to make him.
  13. Simon Baz is cool and all, but can we please get Guy Gardner first? And then a Kilowag big fig?
  14. To me, those are contradictory statements. A re-release just can't knock it out of the park for me. Your reasoning is sound. That's exactly why LEGO needs to knock it out of the park. Because of what you just listed. I like the sets just fine (I had Bricklink'd a Toy Shop already, so a re-release didn't help me), and the last two designs have just been okay. I like them well enough, but just okay. I feel like we need some "grandeur" to the WV line with this next set. Something that's just pretty cool.
  15. I'm not going to deny the wonderful ideas all of you have come up with. But if I'm thinking in that sort of line of thinking, a newspaper immediately comes to mind. Almost like a "Daily Planet" type of building. That screams first half of the last century to me. A simpler, more naive time. 1930s/1940s style building. Or maybe a combo newspaper/radio/television studio. With the big radio mics, and the big studio cameras.
  16. I wondered that too. It's a big set, and costs a lot of money. There may be demand for a much smaller scale fairgrounds set.
  17. Awesome list! Thanks for sharing!
  18. At Comic Con this past weekend, there were a few different booths that had the game set up for demo (DC Comics, LEGO, WB). My 6 year old son and I had the chance to play. The demo was set up for 20 minutes at a time. My son played it and loved it! It's a typical LEGO/TT game play game engine, which is fine. It was fun to play the different characters. I'm really looking forward to this game, as my son and I have really been getting into the LEGO games the last few months.
  19. I'm not surprised. It was available at Comic Con.
  20. That's awesome! I want the Creator Rollercoaster, but I'm not sure about room for it. I've been waiting to see the creativity of some folks with the Pirate Coaster. I'm impressed.
  21. A mix of new and old Erasure songs on shuffle. Everything from 1986 to 2018.
  22. There's this part in Green: That is only available in the San Diego Comic Con Exclusive Action Comics #1 set. It's come out in multiple colors, but forget getting in green. I know some LUGs get access to a group of parts, and it's entirely possible that the batch the one guy is sitting on is from a LUG. They aren't supposed to sell the parts, but of course, people do.
  23. Is it the specific color you're talking about? Or that part in general? I was disassembling (to rebuild) the Carousel (I bought one off of Craigslist), and realized the Carousel has this part, but in white. And that got me thinking to your post.
  24. That's the same problem I've run into with the LEGO House Tree of Creativity (4000024 and 4000026). Can't find instructions, and no LDDs made for them either.
  25. Thank you! Based on your comment, I figured out it's from 41453 What a funky piece, lol.
