I like that penguin. It does seem a little big though.

I agree with you the imperial guards are a major drawback of this set and i can see this going on sale very soon. If it was just one imperial guard then it would of been better.

I would go with the Grand Pix Racer because it looks great on display.

Very nice moc. You did an incredible job with the stain glass windows. it is just breath taking.

I do like that the minifigures come with hair and the scarfs gives it that added ninja touch. I wonder though if they also come with their masks as an added accessory?

That monster looks very scary. -
I try not to sort my broken down sets into a collection because it makes it a little more difficult if I intend on re-building it later on.

This is the first time I have heard about brickowl. I think brick link is suing them though.

I think the only thing missing is a little cave entrance.

Nice moc. I love how you made the walls with the wooden beans and the inner bricks. The story is also captivating as well.

[Castle] What do you like best? Generic or Specific?
kermit replied to Artifex's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
To me the story behind a set is of little importance although it helps to enhance the set. As long as the sets are great that is all that matters. For example sets that are detailed and has some substance to it. So whether generic or theme based it comes down to the quality of the particular sets for me. -

That is a great idea. Its a shame that the the other pieces couldnt be used to make it a little bigger. -
I am surprised that they havent lowered the price on the new speedorz sets given that the old ones have been going on clearance and sale on lego and other retail stores. Not to mention lego giving away started kits free earlier in the year also.

Nice job . I like the colours that you used and the spoiler. Any plans to motorize it? -

I like that the sets so far have been priced below $40. The sets them selves , however, dont seem that interesting except for the minifigures.

Nice ship. I was expecting more bones on it though like on the sides.

I think a friends tv show would do well on the cartoon networks and would bring even more girls into lego provided that it has a good story.

I am thinking of getting some sterilite bins to pack my lego sets. Right now I have been used some cardboard boxes but I am afraid that they would not be as strong and durable enough as the plastic bins.

[SoNE Freebuild] "In the shadows to the left."

Nice moc. I think there could of been a little more buttons or some panels on the walls though. -
I like your moc especially the rocks/mountain that you created. The buildings looks very futuristic and i like that dome on the ground.

I dont look at it in terms of time consuming. I just pack away sets that i have gotten fed up with or takes up too many valuable space for other sets. As for me since i have been bitten by the city bug I have kept all my modular building. I have packed away all the pharaoh quest sets since its a one off theme. I have packed away my star destroyer because i have had it up for several years now and would rather put the ewok village in its spot on the shelf. My atlantis sets are packed as well. It was a hard choice because I would of rather keep all my sets up and I know one day I will get a room big enough where i can have all my sets on display. However I dont mind rebuilding the sets because its lego and I just love building.

It looks more like a hotel to me.
