  1. You apologize for the spam, but still you do it. What part didn't you understand about self promoting? Apart from that, this is a LEGO community, not some general toy / education board. Thank you.
  2. You really have a reason to be proud! It is huge! So many nice details. How many bricks do you estimate it to have?
  3. Read the rules on self promotion please...
  4. Welcome to Eurobrick @dao8, please only post in English and do not revive very old threads without a very good reason.
  5. I'm afraid I have to totally agree with the lithium / cobalt issues. Plant-based is indeed also dangerous depending on your source. They could use algae though.
  6. People were saying it would be, but you'd better check with customer service to get the official answer of course!
  7. They promise more train at least so that is good isn't it?! We will need to see how it functions in practice.
  8. Alas for Mac users there are only limited options these days, I don't like to start Windows for such a things (only if I really have to). All those Mac apps are still 32-bit and can't run on modern versions of the OS anymore. Stud.io is 64-bit so that is great.
  9. I do have experience with that kind of motors/pumps, they are also in a Non-Invasive Blood Pressure measuring device. I don't use them for LEGO purposes right now but it would be doable. They generate quite some pressure, are not very load and are quite easy to control (I use a darlington pair transistor setup + Arduino compatible board). B.t.w. I use them at 5V and for a blood pressure cuff that is powerful enough. There are also tiny valves available that also help. I use a PM3V5050 pressure sensor to monitor the pressure of the system.
  10. Don't we all agree :) @LEGO Train 12 Volts: I am still looking for a great tutorial on Stud.io for LDD folks :)
  11. You don't send GATT commands. GATT is the bluetooth profile of the device. You can just use BLE module for Arduino and send commands using RX / TX. https://github.com/corneliusmunz/legoino I downloaded the library from https://github.com/nathankellenicki/node-poweredup for the Raspberry Pi Zero W and it works like a charm!
  12. I would also like that. I am quite used to LDD, want to move to stud.io (I used it already for rendering) but now that it is not being upgraded to 64-bit etc...
  13. Very nice @LEGO Train 12 Volts. Great job!
  14. I already have my own police station and hospital in the somewhat same style as the fire fighters building. I am finishing my modular LEGO store (that has the same style as the bank). We'll see what it is, just be patient I would say :)
  15. Thats true of course and a good thing indeed. Is that why TLG bought Bricklink ? ;)
  16. So hope they will keep that in mind, there actually are quite some AFOLs that work in ICT indeed...
  17. Well, let's see... BrickLink sellers buy LEGO and sell it to mostly AFOLs, if AFOLs can't get bricks anymore at an affordable price it will hurt LEGO in many ways... If it doesn't work out other initiatives like BrickOwl will get their chance...
  18. Last week we built the modular garage corner. That also has larger plates and the baseplate not in bags. Some sets even have cardboard boxes that contain the parts. LEGO should try to get rid of all the bags and trade them in for e.g. paper or at least compostable plastic bags, it is bad for the environment and no one needs those bags after all.
  19. Very nice job. You have used the LXF of the bank though and there is some error in that file with the arches ;) I am working on a LEGO store version of the bank and previously also experienced that issue :)
  20. Really great, @Paperinik77pk, not very typical, but makes it really cool!
  21. Believe me good printers are expensive, my sticker printer costed 16.000€. There is no free lunch.
  22. "II have had one MacBook battery severely damaged by running the computer under very high CPU loads for 30-60 minutes". I have never heard of that, go to iFixit and replace your battery I would say, costs you around 100 bucks. @RoxYourBlox: problem is we don't pay for it. Maybe we should try and resurrect Bricksmith?! At least LDraw is still being actively updated.
  23. If you happen to have both part numbers you can have a look at the datasheet :) Often H-bridges have similar pinouts.
  24. Offtopic: I suggest you using the books from Apple (iBooks). I taught Swift in my college but now I teach embedded systems. I think Stud.io would be the best choice I only hope they would make the controls (especially for viewports) more like LDD (or include an LDD mode ;)).
  25. Same problem with me. Stud.io I guess?!!
