Really nice update @Pdaitabird. That is a good reason to revive your topic isn't it :)

You are right, fixed it ;) Thats one of the reasons why most Dutch high school kids find German at school intimidating. Dutch word is donderbussen (which is probably a somewhat too 'wordy' translation from German as Büchse is a shot gun isn't it, and at least in current Dutch a bus is a bus (coach)). I looked it up and "Donderbus" in Dutch is also some kind of old shotgun, didn't know that.

I really like the "Donnerbüchsen" you added Dirk (Thunder box coaches) with it! Some other fans added cargo cars to their crocodile. My smaller MOC/MOD crocodile (based on 4551) was destroyed by a visiting kid unfortunately, still need to rebuild it in the upcoming summer vacation.

Thats at least sounds promising (not for our bank account, but for our hobby ;)).

1000steine / @Dirk1313 has a review (in German).
-
They indeed said it should be available here (https://www.lehmanns.de/shop/sachbuch-ratgeber/46201152-9783960583080-eisenbahnen-aus-noppensteinen) but I did not try it, my Amazon.de order was cancelled a long time ago already.

Very nice job @W Navarre, maybe you could include some more detailed images?
-
Of course, everyone in Train Tech should have the @HoMa book in their bookshelf. I have too, also some model railroad books and the LEGO Neighborhood books 1 and 2. I din't know that about Bluebrixx, that explains why I was attacked by that one guy at 1000steine at least ;)

2020 Mindstorms set
JopieK replied to Coder Shah's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
6x inputs/outputs, 2 more than Control+ but EV3 has four inputs and four outputs, that is two less. Rumors already said it the hub is the same as Spike (at least from the outside). -
Was it really necessary to add that message on a topic from half a year ago? Welcome to Eurobricks and Train Tech, but don't just ask, also bring. That will keep you friends with all the others here. First try yourself, share and then @SteamSewnEmpire and other members will be glad to give input.

It was a book by Klaus Kiunke (Bluebrixx): Eisenbahnen aus Noppensteinen. It did not just use LEGO bricks only b.t.w. (1000steine, German spoken site: https://www.1000steine.de/de/gemeinschaft/forum/?entry=1&id=424384#id424384, just ignore the discussion on LEGO vs. other bricks ;)). I tried to get it through Amazon but it was cancelled there, here it still says "expected": https://www.edition-lempertz.de/Eisenbahnen+aus+Noppensteinen.htm but it has been so long that I don't expect it anymore.

Very nice find! Just pre-ordered one, expected in October. Hope it won't be cancelled, we have seen that before.

9v, Power Functions, and Powered Up working together seamlessly
JopieK replied to Mr Hobbles's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Good to hear. I especially like the credits of the library ;) (just kidding). I tried the library in the past and it works great, I'm considering automate my trains using Python. -
9v, Power Functions, and Powered Up working together seamlessly
JopieK replied to Mr Hobbles's topic in LEGO Train Tech
@Mr HobblesWhat programming language do you use on the Pi? Looks like this combination works really nice! -
Sets go out of stock more often indeed. So no worries.
-
Yups, I thought of that too! Great idea!

I'm not sure those are actual renders of actual parts. You can see that with the Duplo base, it is much more rounded in the actual version. Also Spike can be used in a stand-alone mode, but also in a network. We'll see :)

Nice job @Pdaitabird. I don't think it would violate the contest rules (as it is 16x16).

It is probably what @mindstormsboi says, the best to contact Service and Support of TLG.
-
EV3 does only support Bluetooth Classic, that is why. Spike also supports Bluetooth classic as far as I know (but also BLE). What you describe is Bluetooth Classic, not BLE. Powered Up only supports BLE.

Is it time for LEGO to stop being colorblind?
JopieK replied to BrickG's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I don't know a company that tries to be more careful about these things than TLG. The yellow color of the hands/heads of the minifigs was already when they started with minifigs thought through from the perspective of not discriminating agains skin color (even if people have jaundice there are no people in the world that have yellow faces, maybe asians have a light yellow tint but by no means the vivid yellow color that LEGO uses). Here is a nice article about it: https://www.quora.com/Why-do-LEGO-minifigures-have-yellow-heads?share=1. Interesting to see that they did use other colors before 1980. -
Powered Up uses BLE instead of Bluetooth classic, what you describe is a typical Bluetooth classic procedure. @Matteo When another peripheral is connected to your remote it won't be seen by your Powered Up HUB so really make sure there are no other devices (I don't think that is the problem, but you can check). After 10 posts at Eurobricks you can use the PM.

Thanks Duq! My memory played tricks on me.
