  1. Well 150€... It is "hard to find" put LEGO.COM to german location settings and see...
  2. Well, you just need to wait till you have a whole lot of luck :)
  3. I think it won't work since the brushes (the way they are placed and directed) play a large role and a LEGO ghost doesn't have brushes :) Some links: http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Tooth-Brush-Robot/ and http://www.instructables.com/id/RC-Bristle-Robot/
  4. Not 'working', but they do the job for me and lots of others :)
  5. So that more or less proves that they will keep PF for some while but also include special AFOL only articles to even sell more to us :)
  6. Imho the best way is to use a technic construction and create the tunnel in such a way like the modulair houses.
  7. Hmm, I was there but I didn't look well enough I think... made by a fellow 1000steine member. Thanks theBrickster.
  8. Hi guys and gals, I'm looking into creating a mobile application for controlling LEGO PF trains. So far so good, the IR stuff isn't that hard etc. but I would like to use the icons that are used in quite some signatures etc. and are familiar from the good old ngltc.org site. But... apart from some brickshelf stuff I can't find the newer ones. And that leaves the question: where do they come from?! Note: Hope that I make some progress and can share results soon.
  9. Well, they are easy to build, but they are not very realistic are they?!! Here are some real ones for inspiration: http://en.wikipedia....iki/Buffer_stop Here is my interpretation:
  10. @Pingles, please be a little more gentle in the ways you say things. I want, I need, I... And although you want a tunnel and I can understand that (my dad made me a paper-mache one when I was 8 or so, good old 12V days ;)) and I also like tunnels, you better try to make one in LEGO Digital Designer or so. This isn't the place to discuss non-LEGO tunnels I guess... Sites like http://www.floodland.nl/aim/ that are targeted to model railroads have nice ideas on how to use the materials you want to use. @LEGO Man Can: they are just too expensive. You could buy a lot of LURP / BURP bricks from LEGO @ home.
  11. Sorry about that, but I don't get what you mean. "I can't make chocolate out of it" to misuse some Dutch saying. I don't see a lot of repetitiveness in this topic.
  12. Guys, this topic is already almost a year old :( @Sokratesz, papier-maché isn't understood by everyone and I think we are here more interested in LEGO solutions, it isn't miniature rail hobby of course is it?! @momo, patrick has indeed a nice LEGO tunnel. We (cousin and I) built one for LEGOWorld in Zwolle the Netherlands some years ago with BURP rocks (BURP is a AFOL terms for Big Ugly Rock Pieces ;) but for a tunnel they are handy).
  13. The front is nice though ;) a Dutch MAT-64 in LEGOLAND scale. @lightningtiger: but I think the Railbricks crew should be able to make a better book after some more Railbrick magazines ;)
  14. I used Arduino with PF at LEGOWorld in Zwolle to also control points and signals... With the standard protocol you are soon out of options! But I had a solution. Since it is Infrared the line of sight is important and we can control several items on the same channel. I also made an extra remote to toggle sections. But anyway, if one would want to make a large layout one would run into problems fairly easy. On the other hand, I did some experiments with RF (radio frequency) and RF is very easy to use AND cheap.
  15. not if one would have an auto pilot option...
  16. I haven't heard that and I guess it is not true. They recently changed from RC to PF and with PF they have integrated both technic and trains so... I don't think it will go away for some years. LEGO trains used to have a cycle of about 10 years.
  17. Looks very nice! I like the blue hinge boards.
  18. I found this at sparkfun.com http://www.sparkfun.com/news/614
  19. In the moment we are a bit busy but we make stickers for LEGO (white and gold on transparent is also possible). Last week windroosje and I got married, new house etc. so summer vacation will come soon I hope...
  20. Nice one! But, you should include a resistor. The voltage of a Yellow LED : 2.10 < ΔV < 2.18 Ohms law says you then need a resistor of 47 ohms when applying 3 volt (2x 1,5V) to it.
  21. Really, really nice, are you going to show it at some event as well?
  22. Very nice! Wish LDD would be able to render so nicely! The details are very convincing. Also very neat proportions.
  23. There is a guy in Hungary I think that is making aluminum wheels with cross axes. Ludo Soete from BeLUG has some samples from him.
  24. Very nice van! I just have one chem guy at the moment, but that might change of course ;)
