In holland they don't have the dots :'( so just feeling the content. My girlfriend got 5 of them for me, twice the racer, the mummy, the baseball guy, the tennis girl.
those trains seem to be inspired on the civil war trains like "the General". I'm helping my girlfriend with a "uncle Tom's cabin" project (for her primary school, she obviously is a teacher there).

I have both the sketches for a remote and the receiver.
Links are gone: there will be new files for the RailBricks articles very soon!

A bit more structured: moodle
I have also created my own LEGuanO (Arduino + LEGO) print (produced in China). I run one train with it (at this moment), operate a level crossing and several points and signals with them.

hmm in that 4645 harbor, do you note the cripper from the crane? It just looks to be exactly the same like the very old one (I had one when I was a child - I think it was around 1982) (set 6678 it was ;) looked it up) .
Well no two motors are totally equal. Some ran more hours than others, their gear are not totally equal, etc. etc. That is why servo's etc. are more reliable. They have an internal feedback system so they run almost always exactly the same (but most servo's aren't able to revolute infinately but just turn some degrees (e.g. 180 degrees).
There also exist solutions with very small LED's, you might not even need to drill anything I think depending on how you managed to attach the frying pans to the dishes.
Update: Ah, now I see how you did it. Well, but still... you might be able to use a very small cable and not press it too hard.
This was my first (or at least the first one I remember), I was 2,5 and my parents thought it was a good idea to move from duplo to LEGO (I didn't mind it at all).
Date: 5th of December 1981
We have most of the 12V trains and of the 9V, 4.5V depends. Our trains are from about 1980+ so we mainly got those. (link is in my profile). But anyway I would not mind to share scans etc. of course. Now and then I also get help of other AFOL's with certain rare stickersheets of that era.
Ha that is near my home town (about 30 km or so). Nice looking train you build there! bit like the 7750 but also an emerald like touch. Tender is also quite nice!
I always make vector images for them. LEGO doesn't care. At LEGOWorld they used to even point to our ministicker store (unfortunately I'm a bit too busy at the moment, I think in the summer we well be back in operation). I got new materials (both transparent and white background) for the stickers a few weeks ago, so that is not going to be the problem.
Panda has experience with them, he is also an EB member (Dutch guy).
(uhhm, you were just too quick AFOL12v ;)), @Neil, that guy is the 12V motor expert so I woul suggest: just believe him :)
Have fun here windroosje ;) good luck on your Uncle Tom's project. I'll hurry and get you some more LEGO parts (she is my girlfriend, since, you guessed it... about two years). Well first I'm busy to make our LEGO bridal bouquet ;) (just kidding).
