I got them from shop@home for my signal house, but that is an expensive option. Maybe LUGbulk also?!

About that photopaper You could of course send a message to me ;) We have a stickerprinter for LEGO stickers (and happen to have FedEx logo's in correct format somewhere on my harddrive). (Probably I can just send it to you for free I guess, if you promise to post the results here again ;)) The van looks very convincing b.t.w. I'm more into the old 4-wide, but in the modern city setting it is very compelling I think.

well have a look at our beloved philohome site about PF: http://www.philohome.com/pf/pf.htm Those PF XL motors draw quite some current so... But the reason that you can't have both IR outputs running at the same time is the format of the IR messages from the controller (the remote I mean). If you would use the train controller that wouldn't be a problem I think.

Nice one LEGO Train :) is it a LDD/Shop@Home creation? I also like the workshop and the control panel.

Yups, but the discussion was, "will it be an exclusive" like the Maersk train or so! In the NL the minifigs are also not sold by all store (the definition of "exclusive" that lightningtiger uses). But the LEGO use of "Exclusive" and "Hard to find" is more like "for AFOL's".
-
Exclusive? Are you kidding? The set isn't that great at all. It is OK, but not more than that. It is not realistic at all I mean so it is more like a toy train with quite some playing possibilities.

Nice one! I don't think they have milk tankers on the European continent, but it would be a nice addition :) I think in Europe they used to load milk barrels on open traincars. Did you know that LEGO has had 3 milk sets: Set 1952 Set 1581 Set 1029

Listed 109.99 for in Holland :) Not too bad I guess considering the details and colors.- 379 replies

We are already beyond the MOC thinking. It must be real, parts like the conveyor belt are nowhere to be found in other LEGO sets.

Brickshelf: amazing truck
JopieK replied to JopieK's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well, I agree that it is not totally technic (but quite some parts are and for a 'real' town builder like me it thus appears to be non-Town) but it is more Model Team than Town. Have you ever seen a LEGO Town with 8 wide cars? It could be possible but is than more a miniland scale. -

Exclusive Train 10219 Maersk Train (Exclusive 2011)
JopieK replied to paul_delahaye's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Interesting to see from this angle that the 10219 has the same lights as the other 'leaked' train.- 379 replies

What type of motor are you using Deejay? A micromotor you say, but do you maybe have a factory number or a datasheet? Very clever ID... I'd prefer a servo since with a DC motor you more or less mistreat the motor when letting it just run right or left.
-
I think it must be a prototype. The stickers that we produce are better (that is in effect unfortunately also true for quite some previous LEGO sets. I also think that due to the 12V rail it must be really from TLG. But the rail repair car should be a train itself so it is not very accurate in real life. Normally the repair car has it's own motor and is not put in a train with a locomotive. At least not in Holland and Germany. [update:] I retract the comment about the sticker, I was mislead by the modified brick 1x1 with rail. But then I looked at the coal elevator. The stripes seem to be not equal and that is very untypical for an original LEGO set.

Well, heat up your soldering iron and get some LED's. I use a microcontroller (Arduino like). I made a welder for the Train Engine Shed at LEGOWorld 2011 (Zwolle). It costed me about 15 minutes to solder the 'ironing gun' (two tiny SMD LED's). So...

Lego technic mini figures
JopieK replied to davidmull's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
they were called Action Figures as I can remember. I had a snow set among others that included an action man. -

Well, Arduinos is much cheaper :) see the Train topic. Thanks to Rick (the Zookeeper) also an images of how we use Arduino (LEGuanO) for the lights: I use softPWM to make the lights (in the poles and on the house (and inside a fireplace)) flicker.

Switching and stop lights with the new PFs?
JopieK replied to MurkyMajare's topic in LEGO Train Tech
My LEGO Arduino (LEGuanO) has IR on board so you don't need any PF parts. My first prototype looks like this: it can actually send and/or receive PF compatible signals: This is the prototype of my LEGuanO (I have converted this idea into professionally produced circuit boards). To the left the IR receiver (for use with LEGO IR remotes) and to the right in the middle (the white LED) the IR sender. One can also of source add detection (reed sensor that reacts on magnets and/or a light sensor). -
Switching and stop lights with the new PFs?
JopieK replied to MurkyMajare's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I have a LEGuanO that takes care of that. If you fit the stoplight with an extra LED for IR you can control your trains with it. -
It was a lot of fun, we (windroosje, my brother and I), were there on saturday with my girlfriends LEGO version of Uncle Tom's cabin. It turns out that the toy story trains look a lot like the trains used during the civil war period: http://www.ngltc.org/train_depot/. We still need to modify the train, but we already made a station for it.
-
A very nice station indeed!

The game is quite fun, I played it with my girlfriend two weeks ago (the game is her's actually).

Well, I demonstrated my LED based lamp posts at Brick Tricks 2011 in Tielt, Belgium last weekend. I use a LEGO adapted version of an Arduino (LEGuanO) that is (possibly) PF compatible.
