very nice!!! it looks just like it could have been an original set
-
well it is predictable, the current trains are at the end of their cycle so it would be quite logical to see a new lineup.
-
I think a lot of AFOL's will buyt that lemonade stall for that ;)

Sorry to hear that stu808!!! Hope your LEGO hobby will also help in your grieving. The BBB wheels are a good option indeed, I also used them for a recent shunter MOC. Advantage of the original LEGO version is that they have a rubber ring so they provide better traction (but there is a nice tutorial on how to fix this for BBB wheels as well, only thing is that it is now and then hard to get the rubber rings).

It then becomes an XLS file so you will need some sort of spreadsheet of course (but nowadays you can even use online software if you don't have Excel installed).

Great job!!! Interesting how you made the panels etc with those nice rotated techniques! 7-wide is also a nice option for this train, since 6-wide is a little bit more difficult for the details needed of course!

@Heppeng: I totally agree, prying it open without leaving too many marks is the most difficult thing, soldering the LED is very simple (but make sure you have a good soldering iron, not one for plumbers, but one for electronics). B.t.w. Maybe the LED is will still work but there is even a loose connection!

nice PF shunter indeed, did you base it on an actual one or is it an imaginary model?!

How to check if locomotive is on a curve track?
JopieK replied to mikezang's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Why would you want to do that? I guess you could use a compass, gyro or acceleration sensor of course! rotation sensor is possible but then make sure left and right wheels aren't connected and check the rotation of the left and right side (if it is not equal you are in a curve). -
it does the job, nice work!!!

Where do Rare/HTF Parts come from?
JopieK replied to Turaga of Force's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm sure it did not came in that set, it is still very rare on bricklink: 4315 the accompanying part 2873 is indeed also rare but indeed came in that set ;) It makes such a wagon more than 100€ I'm afraid ;) -
Rotation Sensor for EV3 ?
JopieK replied to DrJB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That is why I included the other option which is rather do-it-yourself-but-very-cheap ;) -
Rotation Sensor for EV3 ?
JopieK replied to DrJB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
http://www.hitechnic.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=NAA1030 Should work well I think! If it doesn't need to be a continuous rotation one, you could also use this: http://www.brickengineer.com/pages/2009/10/05/interface-a-potentiometer-to-the-nxt/ -
Where do Rare/HTF Parts come from?

I e.g. have brown hinge plates 1 x 4, never been in any set... Very nice for a brown version of the blue car from 4563 -
Where do Rare/HTF Parts come from?

they have connections with LEGO production facilities, that is for sure... sometimes the factory produces small batches for testing or prototyping (for designers) in rare colors. -
Looks very nice brickie! People love it, that is for sure from your picture of the crowds!!! Nice job.

welcome to EB brick_butterfly! hope you enjoy your stay and will get a lot of inspiration!

very cute diorama LEGO family, the details just do the job ;)

hehe, good to know! It is not really bumping is it, it is more: completing! b.t.w. we have a prof. sticker printer (roland versacamm VS-300) so if I could be of any help (it can do white / metallic)...
-
it is starting to become really nice indeed!!! hope you finish it in time!

@jonwil, I think you are right and it will be a small creator set.

Hi pawan_it17, welcome to Eurobricks! Another idea is to first start with a normal trains set, that gives you all the basics and then you can start building your own trains from that with extra parts like from bricklink indeed.
-
it indeed is a bit high indeed, that is the price to pay if you want to make it with just regular PF parts and make it 'all inclusive': And a bit different angle: The waggon is 'waiting on bricklink parts' as you can see! If you compare it to the real deal it should be just ok though: link to nice but large image

http://www.stapelgekop.nl (Sorry, in Dutch, but of course foreigners can visit it as well!!!) @LEGO Train 12 Volts: thanks a lot for the compliments :) Now working on remote control again... that is why I needed a shunter in the first place of course ;) and... the 7760 is arguably the best locomotive (at least diesel) that LEGO has ever made of course, so also an homage!

@UrbanErwin, for some reason my 3 emails (2 to one address and 1 to the other) for LEGOWorld seem to have been lost, so we did not have a place... Too bad. But I will take it to Steenwijk and Brickmania (BeLUG) :)
