It was probably mentioned a lot of times in different topics, but I'm not sure of there was special thread. Have to check. Seems we already have a nice discussion about Lego room here so why not dedicate a special topic to that matter Aaa... a man cave full of Lego Yeah... Proper storage roblem was always something to discuss about. It always depends whether you keep all stuff together or keep different sets separately... I was actually thinking about having transparent plastic bags with zippers or boxes for different sets and marking them with a sticker copy of Lego box art to quickly find what I need

Yeah... my friend had Sabre Island, Lagoon-Lock up seems to be a much more "complete" set... Sabre Island looks more like a alternate model... but still a good one Well, all is not lost... you still can get yourself a new one... just leave one box for me

Nice one, but they are missing some words, and I woudln't agree with some of their definitions, they still seem confusing.
-
Don't know why but this one reminds of G.I.Joe's Hurricane Vtol plane http://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/90/hurricane/ very nice job anyway... love the classic feel... background gits your creation perfectly
-
Wow... with this one you can seriously feel the sci-fi climate. I like that You used the green this thing there. Could put little bit more color though. Funny to see that you gave this guy epoulettes Is he all-yellow inside or is that just an illusion?

Welcome to the place where Sci-fi and Galaxy meets with medieval Castles, underwater scientists and Fabuland Pirate's "Aaaaaaaar" for you

Great job on those sails then! They kind of looked "too good" to be real I guess Great detail! I admire your dedication to making them on your own. As for the pictures you can also use imageshack as I do... works fine perhaps some limitations of size of the image to post are caused by the number of posts... I am just guessing here

Good job on this one Nice spotting job with those covers Wow... always thought this one comes from the 80s... they did very good... has better quality than sets from 92-93... 91 was the very top for Pirates series... later era of Imperials and "let's invent more than we need" came Of course they are! They've always been... Crimson Pirate proved that! Please don't say that anymore... people have ears... and I don't wanna buy this for 500 $ I've never seen this on before. Does it have a different cover? There's no YEAR on it as it should be. I always used to play "spot cpt. Redbeard" on this one He's shown so many times... there's even one cursed to be a monkey Look... ... interestingly there are two strange guests on this picture. Someone who is apparently Governor's son... and a golden parrot making friends with good old Polly... or whatever her name was maybe my golden parrot from CC is alive too.... have to check... always cheered for that Soldier running akimbo with two pistols That's exactly the whole secret of old Lego's magic - simplicity simplicity simplicity... and great creativity behind it
-
Hehe... Nice. These old ideas are perfect for any theme, any place any times
-
Wow... for a moment I thought that that this is an official set! Good job on that Yeah... This is something I want to do... but I'm gonna photograph the set traditional way, here everything except the toy is added digitally. This ship is very nice btw... would say it has more charm than SES but am I wrong or these sails are digital too? they don't look real on this picture

I've searched the Forum and couldn't find such topic. I was thinking, since there is a lot of abbreviations, acronyms and other normal fandom slang being used here and some people still get confused with their true meanings perhaps we could me a small Dictionary for Pirates ( or Eurobricks generally ). Of course you can easily "decipher" some of them but especially for newcomers these can be tricky a lot of times. And there's a lot of topics where some of the conversation is so chock-full of them that even I have problems I saw it made once on polish Tranformers forum http://transformery....?article_id=156 and it really helped much.

Guess I'm gonna get to work then Sure, I'll post them as soon as I'll accomplish my honorable quest BTW... do you guys know in what size should these backgrounds be printed to use in dioramas? Guess simple A4 will be too small even for tiny sets.
-
A Lego Room! Yeah that would be nice. I always wanted to have a dedicated room in my house... library, pirate theme.. Lego room could do too... yet it always depends on the size of your flat... is sad to see that most people with big apartments or villas waste their space, using them just for parties... and hobbyst generally can't dedicate couple of square meters for what they love Yeah man... 50 bucks is what you can spend in 5 minutes for nothing special... and MISB is very special... I had this kind of situation - not with selling Legos, but with selling books... sold some great valuable titles for little money that gave me nothing... and I still regret doing that!

I'm pretty sure someone posted it here on Eurobricks, maybe it was Lugpol... couldn't find it. ' Thanx for the hint! Guess I'll write to him... That's exactly what I was planning to do I'm not much of an artist to paint those backgrounds myself... Hopefully will do it well! I wasn't necessarily thinking about those backgrounds I posted in the topic. There's so many of them. Byt I admit these two caught my attention especially as they really show much of this background. Using other themes might be a good idea too... I really want my pictures to have this carribean feel
-
Yeah... it's obvious... but there's always something that might leak or maybe someone caught it when they were throwing this stuff away at Lego. I think that one member of Eurobricks even got one of these artificial islands used in dioramas this way, am I right? On the other hand there might be someone who copied these backgrounds himself for his own mocs and might share it It's surely possible to do in Photoshop... I am just still not very good at it. Well... will try and share my work for interested later Anyway... I just love them and could make a good use... but I guess most of Eurobricks members have the same feeling Shame they don't make these dioramas the old way... digital ones are not bad... but it's just not the good old Lego it used to be...
-
Does your son know about it? ... guess he might be looking for his toys right now ... naah... it's fantastic, growing up another Lego generation in the dark times of Iphones' century Welcome to Eurobricks
-
Not that old man, not that old Welcome to Eurobricks... Seems that there's an invasion of old "lurkers" and voyagers... with me as one of them
-
What can I say? Awesome. This really could make an official set. Carriages are superb. Love the detail inside. Well I love Belle Epoque and Victorian Times so what can I say and XIX century Petersburg was beatiful too... so what are they showing today? Лебединое oзеро? Are you planning to fit some train tracks into that? ... or is this just a carriage station? Did you make that newspaper on your own? Looking at the boy's face I have a feeling today's news in Financial Times are not gonna be the good ones

Mazin replied to Hersbrucker's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Fantastic. Love the third picture, very cinematic This church tower in the backgound makes it really look as a tiny part of a real life town Well done -

I'd actually love if they would make one set with two ships of similar size for both sides... surely smaller ones... but with the same number of figures and so... would be a lovely one... very playble from the start These could be different in appearance of course but that would still make it a close-fought encounter About the ship sizes... I remember that being a child I was actually ABSOLUTELY SURE that they will release Soldier's ship similar in size with Barracuda some day... Was kind of "obvious" back then
-
Hey guys Was wondering... does any of You know if it is possible to download those lovely background pictures used on classic Pirates boxes somewhere? Or if there are any similar ones to be found on the internet that I could get? Wanted to photograph my MOCs and was about to try make my own background somehow, but it hit me that those might be available somewhere... There's been plenty of these pictures, so maybe one lucky colector did put his hands on them
-
Thanx! Wanna stay much longer this time Hopefully will show you guys some of my MOCs very soon. Making them will certainly make more active on Eurobricks...
